The Enchantment of the Primadona

The Enchantment of the Primadona
PSP 1: Back to Life

A red car bounced and rolled over after hitting a roadblock then free-falling into a 10-meter-deep gorge. The woman who was the driver of the car immediately died. His body sank along with the car that fell into the ravine which immediately emptied into the river.

Some of the people who saw the incident were hysterical and immediately ran towards the cliff and looked down at the ravine. The red car was no longer visible. The river water that was originally calm, looked surging.

The victim was Dona Putri Wijaya, 25 years old. He ran away from home because his parents betrothed him to a man who was the same age as his father. Dona doesn't accept being victimized to save her Papa company from bankruptcy.

Suddenly, Dona's eyes opened. He found his body lying in a room that looked foreign to him. Dona felt a pain in her head and slowly tried to sit down. His eyes looked around and found a frame showing a picture of a young girl with long hair tied high and wearing glasses.

'Who is he?' thought Dona.

Dona nodded her temples, her head hurt so much. Dina recalls the accident.

'Am I not dead?' thought Dona again.

Then Dona realized that there was something different about her. Starting from the color of his skin, fingernails, to the hair he holds so different from his hair.

"When have I had long hair? And why did my skin become so pale and dry?"

Dona looked around the 3X4 room again. The room is much different in size from the original room. The room was decorated with plain white ceramics without any pattern, the walls of the room were creamy rather yellowish which added brightness in the room at night. In the room there is a bed using purple pink bed sheets with pictures of foliage, 2 pillows, 1 roll and brown blanket, and, the bed is not so big and is about enough for 2 people only.

Dona's eyes then turned to a cupboard made of teak wood that had been painted brown, a closet that was also not too big. There is a box and there is a table and chairs, some frames, books, pencil cases, magazines neatly arranged on the table.

On the wall of the room was also attached a graduation photo of a little girl in Elementary school along with two adults flanking her. And there is a fairly large mirror, a small painting with pictures of the house and scenery and there is a calligraphy and also there is a small calendar.

"Where am I really?" Say Dona again while looking around the room from the bed.

The room has 2 windows in pairs of floral patterned trellis facing outside the house, so as not to block the entry of sunlight into the room. Near the window was a small and not too big dresser. Next to it there is a tape to listen to music under which there is a small box containing CD or DVD cassettes.

There is a dark red carpet patterned polkadot. There was also a gray fan in the room. There are about 4 to 5 dolls on the bed of various sizes and various kinds of dolls. The window also had plain gray and black colored curtains. On the study table, more precisely on the wall there is a patch of photos of the same girl with her High School clothes.

Dona tried to get up from the bed and walked towards the door with a 'Bathroom'.

"This room is very neat. But not my taste." Chirps Dona.

Finished washing his face, Dona walked towards the mirror. Like being electrocuted, Dona's body shook violently in shock. The reflection of the face in the mirror is not his face. But the face of the girl who is in various frames attached to the wall.

"Why is this so?" Dona.

He repeatedly rubbed his eyes. I hope that he is dreaming. Dona touched her face while continuing to look in the mirror. He seemed to not believe what he saw.

"I must be dreaming." He said, pinching his arm hard.

Dona grimaced as she felt pain. He swerved in front of the mirror to look at his entire body. Everything seems different. Dona's body was slim and taller than her current body. Dona's body is now fuller, with longer hair and shorter height.

"What happened to me? Did I have plastic surgery?" Say Dona again.

Dona looked around and opened the closet. He wanted to find out what really happened to him. Dona got a red box. Then quickly open it and get two pieces of elementary and middle school diplomas.

It is clearly written in the diploma the name of a girl, 'Sabrina Dona Amelia', with a birth date that is much different from Dona's.

'Why can it be like this?' thought Dona.

Dona then finds a small diary with the name 'Diary Dona' on its front page. Dona started reading the diary from the first page.

Since reading the first page, Dona has felt sorry for the author of the diary who has the same name as him. The girl who wrote this diary was a girl filled with sadness. He has always been bullied since childhood by his peers.

All the sadness was clearly written on every page of the book. From what Dona could understand, the book-owning girl was a weak girl. He can't defend himself and always complains.

Dona then switched to a small photo album. There are many photos showing the same girl with the same glasses posing with a girl who is the same age as her. Dona ruffled her hair and thought hard about what was happening to her.

Dona tidied up the box and sat on the bed. Wall clock shows at 3pm. Dona sat down and tied her long hair with a hair tie on a small table beside her bed. He then took a small mirror on the table and looked at his face.

A face that looks much younger and still natural. A pretty face, but looks like a girl who is very much different from the one in the photo.

"Why is this so?" Say Dona again.
