PSP 42: Stay

The night is getting late, the rain is not going to subside. Dona and Aditya are still trapped inside the restaurant. The torrential rain does not allow Aditya to ride his motorcycle to drive Dona home. Visitors to the restaurant began to be quiet, leaving some people who still enjoy their food, including Dona and Aditya who are still sitting while waiting for the rain to subside.

Dona looked at the clock on her wrist that had shown at half-elevenpm. Aditya seemed busy fiddling with his phone.

"I'm sorry." Aditya.

"Why apologize?" Ask Dona.

"Gara-gara use the motor, you so late to go home gini. Want to break rain, not possible."

"It's okay. Just relax."

Aditya is still busy with his phone. He tried to call his grandfather so he could send a driver to pick him up. There was no reply from Grandfather. Aditya tried to book a taxi online, but no one responded. Maybe because of the rain.

"How now?" Ask Aditya. "I've tried to call grandfather to ask the driver to pick us up, I've also tried to order a taxi online. But...."

"Oh, we can only wait. I texted you anyway, telling you we're raining."

Aditya can breathe a sigh of relief. The next half hour the rain began to subside, leaving behind a small drizzle that still fell to earth. Not wasting a chance, Aditya immediately took Dona out of the restaurant. Aditya puts his jacket and helmet on Dona.

"You're the one who wears it."

"You will be cold."

"I'm wearing a jacket, you're wearing a helmet." Dona attempts to remove the helmet Aditya wears on her.

"No, you are. Let your head be protected from drizzle that can make you have a fever later."

"How do you want to?"

"Don't ask too many questions. Rise, mumpung ujannya already not heavy."

Dona sits in the back seat of Aditya's bike. Without warning, Dona immediately wrapped her hands around Aditya's waist. Hopefully the hug he gave can warm Aditya's body which must be cold because only wearing a white t-shirt in such cold weather.

The two arrived at Dona's house at exactly 12 p.m. Aditya is so afraid that Dona is scolded by her parents. Just about to knock on the door, Ms. Nir had already opened the door and seemed to stand with Mr. Edi.

"You're okay, right? My mother was very worried. The rain was heavy plus the wind was also quite strong." Said Bu Nir holding Dona's hand which still felt cold.

Dona is still wearing Aditya's jacket and helmet. While the T-shirt worn by Aditya, the front of it already looks soaked.

"Sir, Mom, sorry. Dona's late to come home." Aditya said.

"You're getting wet like this because Dona has to come home." Reply Bu Nir.

Dona rushes to open the jacket and helmet, then gives it to Aditya. Suddenly the rain came down so hard. Aditya who was just about to leave, was fixated on staring at the swift rain falling from the roof of Dona's house to the front yard floor.

'Duh, what about it? It was a very late night, ' Aditya thought.

"Son Aditya better come into the house. Change clothes with your clothes. And, better stay here." Said Mr. Edi.

"Huh...!" Dona and Aditya were shocked together.

"No need sir. I'll just go home."

"How can you go home, just look at the rain so hard. Not to mention the wind that started to tighten." Said Mr. Edi.

The wind indeed began to blow quite fast, accompanied by very heavy rain accompanied by roars of rumbling that were mutually unpretentious.

"I borrowed a raincoat, sir." Reply Aditya.

"Son Aditya stay the night. There will be a storm. It's dangerous to go home in this weather. Moreover, Nak Aditya uses a motor." This time it was Bu Nir who forced Aditya to stay the night.

After a while of arguing, Aditya finally agrees to stay at Dona's house. Though actually feeling so bad for Dona. But the rain accompanied by a storm, made Aditya inevitably accept the offer of Mr. Edi.

Everyone goes into the house. Mr. Edi gave a long-sleeved shirt in gray to Aditya. After that, Ms. Nir rushed to put her wet clothes into the washing machine and dried them. Mr. Edi invited Aditya to rest in the guest room.

The room is not so big but clean and tidy. Aditya then climbed into bed after trying to call his grandfather. However, his grandfather's number could not be reached. He decided to go to sleep so that he would come home tomorrow morning.

While Dona in his room has not been able to sleep even though the time has shown at 1 am. Dona was still thinking about what she had just experienced tonight. Starting from meeting with Opa Herbowo, until late to return home because of rain. And what he could not believe was, Aditya who was staying at his house.

"Eyes, come on, work together. I have to go to college tomorrow. How would it go if I went to college with sleepy eyes." Grunts Dona.

Dona looked at the ceiling of her room, then picked up her phone which sounded vibrating. There was a short message sent by Gilang.

[Darling, did I make a mistake to be ignored? I tried to call you repeatedly because I was worried about your condition. But, you refused my call and didn't even want to return my message. Please don't get me like this. I'm wounded.]

The other message came from Aditya, whose delivery time was a few minutes ago.

[Don't think macem-macem. Go to bed, go to college tomorrow. Don't dream of me yes, you don't even wake up because you are fascinated by my good looks.]

A very bright morning welcomed. After a night of heavy rainstorms left only a few small puddles of water in Dona's yard. Still dressed in a pair of shorts and a cream-colored singlet, Dona walked out of her room rubbing her eyes.

Her hair that was starting to stretch a little was still a mess. He sat on the floor of the living room and drank the available water on the table. Dona then plucks the apples that are also on the table.

"Waahh Mother tumben once in the morning already ready fruit in the living room." Shouted Dona. "For Mr.." said Dona to the man who was seriously reading the newspaper in front of him.

The man sitting reading the paper was Aditya, completely unaware of Dona's arrival and shouting. Aditya tried to hold back the laughter of seeing the behavior of Dona who thought he was Mr. Edi.

"Sir, I had a weird dream last night." Dona said, then back to bite the red apple in her hand.

"What dream?" Ask Aditya while folding the kotan he read and look at Dona with a clumsy feeling.

The two stared without saying a word. Dona regained consciousness, then realized that she was wearing open clothes. Dona screamed and ran to her room.

"Aaahhh Ma'am..... Why is Aditya in the living room...." His shouting.

Aditya feels bad for Dona because he has seen Dona in open clothes.

'What is this?' aditya.

Hearing Dona's cry, Mr. Edi who was opening a shop and Ms. Nir who was preparing Aditya clothes ran towards the living room.

"Dona why is Adit?" Ask Mr. Edi.

Aditya was just speechless, his eyes looking towards Bu Nir who was already holding his neatly folded clothes. Aditya then walked up to Bu Nir and took his clothes.

"Thank you, Mom. Excuse me for changing clothes first." Aditya said politely.

Aditya hurried to change his clothes. While Mr. Edi and Ms. Nir look at each other and still wonder what really happened until Dona to scream.

"Sana, I'm checking on Dona. Why is he yelling, make people startle." Tell Mr. Edi.

After changing clothes, Aditya paid a farewell to Mr. Edi without waiting for Bu Nir to come out of Dona's room.

"Don't you have breakfast, Adit?"

"No sir, thank you. I had coffee and eaten fruit. Excuse me sir, thank you to Mom for making my clothes smell good." Said Aditya while greeting the hand of Mr. Edi.

Aditya leaves Dona's house with an erratic feeling, between happy to be able to stay at Dona's house and also filled with guilt because he was accidentally not polite because he saw Dona in open clothes.

While in Dona's room, Ms. Nir was constantly laughing at Dona's story.

"Mom laughed instead. Aduuh Bu, how dong. I'm ashamed...." Said Dona who had finished her bath.

"Oh, forget it. Better, now go out for breakfast. You're going to college this morning."

Miss Nir and Dona came out of the room to the dining room. Both only found Mr. Edi who was sitting enjoying coffee made by Bu Nir.

"Well sir, where's Aditya?" Ask Ms. Nir.

"Already saying goodbye, just send greetings to Mom. He said thank you for making the clothes smell good." Replied Mr. Edi while sipping coffee.

Dona looked annoyed then sat down then started taking the fried rice and started eating.

"What the hell is it?" Ask Mr. Edi.

Bu Nir then told the incident experienced by Dona to make him scream. Mr. Edi who was chewing fried rice suddenly held back a laugh. After swallowing the fried rice, just contact Mr. Edi laughed.

"Bad is the same mother. Not concerned about being mated." Dona Protests.

"How come you don't laugh, you're so weird. Can't be different where Dad where Aditya is. Or maybe this Father is just as handsome as Nak Adit? Haha...."

"Who tries anything different if his face is covered by a newspaper." Dona's pissed off.

"You too, forgot that last night Nak Adit stayed. Even playful out of the room with messy hair, her clothes open again." Ejek Bu Nir's.

"Aaaahh already, don't discuss it again." Peek Dona.

Mr. Edi and Ms. Nir held back a laugh. While Dona is busy thinking about how it would be if she met Aditya later.

'Ah, just stupid. Think it never happened, ' thought Dona.
