Chapter 44. On a small scale

After Nala and Dandy sat down, not many domestic assistants who worked at Dandy's house appeared with a tray in his hand. There were two iced teas and some light snacks placed inside a medium-sized container.

"Thank you, Bi," said Nala as the housekeeper placed one of the glasses in front of her.

"Sama-sama," the housekeeper replied then immediately passed when the task was done.

Now, Dandy's gaze was on Nala who was circulating her gaze on the row of pots that contained several types of flowers.

"That's Aunt Dian planting, huh, Mas?" ask Nala curiously.

"Yes. Mama has loved flowers for a long time," replied Dandy smiling considering how she looked so happy when she was watering her flowers.

"Nala?" call out to Dandy softly who managed to make Nala turn her head with her brows linked.

"Why, Mas? Is there something you want to talk about?" nala asked when she saw Dandy's face look serious.

Dandy smiled warmly then reached for Nala's fingers resting on the table. Although surprised, Nala did not pull her hand back so as not to hurt Dandy's feelings.

"Married to me. Isn't one barrier to your refusal my Mama? My mom has received you well. Are you ready?" dandy said calmly and confidently.

Her eyes never turned away from Nala's beautiful eyes.

Nala blinked her eyes a few times to digest the meaning of Dandy's words. "I mean, Mum? You proposed to me?" asked Nala with her smiling face.

Dandy chuckled softly. "Yes. But small-time. The real proposal is that when you agree then Mama and I will go to Bogor to see your mother," replied Dandy with a palm that had squeezed Nala's fingers gently.

Nala fell silent then turned her eyes. His heart was still hesitant to establish a new relationship. Nala admits, Dandy is the only man Nala can trust. But will it be like that forever?

"You doubt me?" dandy asked with a look of disappointment when he saw Nala's face turned riled up.

Nala shakes. "I just want to convince myself that being in a relationship with someone new is not a mistake. Give me some time, Mom. I need to think carefully about this. After all, I failed quite once and for the next time, I just want to succeed in a relationship," explained Nala who made Dandy can breathe a sigh of relief.

It doesn't matter if Nala asks him for time. It was better than Nala directly rejecting him without thinking carefully.

"Don't think for long I beg you. Faster is better" said Dandy with a face and a swinging voice.

Nala chuckled amusedly, as if today seeing the other side of Dandy. "Yes. I'll ask for two days. I promise to give you the answer" replied Nala who now returned Dandy's hand in her fingers.

The next day, early in the morning Reigha had come to the house to meet Zia and Zio. As usual, Nala will be indifferent to the arrival of her ex-husband.

"Good morning, Nala," Reigha said as she looked at Nala who had just come out of the house to heat the motor. He's going to the building where his groceries were shipped yesterday.

There was one of the employees of Bu Laras who helped Nala take care of all the furniture shopping yesterday.

"Morning. Wait a minute, I call the kids first," said Nala undo the intention to heat the motor and choose re-entry.

"Nala?" call Reigha softly when Nala has already walked a few steps.

Nala stopped and looked at Reigha. "Why?" answer Nala briefly.

Reigha let out a rough sigh while Nala was still talking briefly, densely, and accurately while with him. "Can we talk for a minute?" reigha asked for permission.

Nala rolled her eyes puffed. "What are you talking about?" ask Nala again.

"Did I not have the slightest chance to have you again? I'm willing to do anything as long as you want to come back with me," Reigha said earnestly with eyes that could not be separated looking at Nala clingy.

Nala breathed tired. "Never ask what you already know the answer to. I won't give you a second chance" Nala replied with a suddenly moody face.

"Why? Is it because there's Dandy?" reigha asked with an indecipherable look. He was now walking closer to Nala. Nala took a few steps back when Reigha's field chest touched her forehead.

Nala was suddenly scared when Reigha looked at her with sharp eyes and full of anger. "What's wrong with Dandy?" nala asked back with courage to look into Reigha's eyes.

"Dandy is my best friend. Come, La. Why should he? You may remarry as long as Dandy is not the one, "grieved Reigha frustrated. In fact, now his hand has moved to grab his hair in frustration.

Nala raised one eyebrow and then let out a thin smirk. "There's nothing wrong with Dandy. He's a well-established man and a darling with Zia as well as Zio. In fact, their closeness has been built since Zia and Zio were babies. So, I think Dandy is a good side dad for Zia andmmph—"

Nala's lips were instantly silenced by Reigha's kiss. Feeling unacceptable, Nala pushed Reigha's chest as hard as she could to get away. Truly, the man before him was extremely insolent.

Reigha feels angry and does not accept when Nala mentions Dandy is the right father for his two children. Reigha was not willing.

Until he was forced to open Nala's lips so as not to talk about Dandy anymore. Reigha admitted, he had lost in terms of fighting for Nala in terms of mass that had hurt Nala. However, Reigha wanted Nala to give him time to fix everything.

However, he is still ignored and Nala is increasingly giving distance between himself.

"Daddy! What Daddy did to Mommy!" the voice that allegedly belonged to Zia.

Reigha releases his kiss on Nala. After the kiss came off, Nala unhesitatingly waved her hand to slap the cheek of the brash man before her.

"Mommy!" Now it was Zio's turn to scream when he watched his mother slap him.

Bu Laras who intends to bring the twins to go out saw what Nala did.

Nala looked up at Reigha for harassing her. With her chest up and down, Nala spoke again. "Don't be rude! Who you have the right to rule my life! Men don't know themselves!" said Nala yelling at Reigha's face to vent the attacking anger in the chest cavity.

Without feeling, Nala's tears just shed so unstoppable. Nala was disappointed and so hurt by Reigha's treatment. Nala closed her mouth and immediately ran into the house, ignoring the whereabouts of her children and mother.

Reigha could only stare at Nala's departure without being able to prevent. He was still too shocked by the slap Nala gave him. This is the first time in Reigha's life that a woman slaps.

And it gets even more painful when the culprit is the one that Reigha loves.

'Did Nala feel this sick when I slapped just for Sandra's sake?' inner Reigha asked.

It's not about the redness on the cheeks. But about the wound in the heart that the pain is more severe than just a physical wound in the form of a reddish scar.

Physical injuries may be healed faster. While the wound of the heart, it takes a process and it takes time that we do not know when the healing arrived. It depends on how we deal with it.
