Chapter 45. Wake up

Ms. Laras exhaled her breath which felt tight. Ms. Laras was convinced, Nala would not have slapped Reigha if not for no reason.

"Mommy!" call Zia and Zio almost at the same time as Nala runs into the house while shedding her tears. Zio felt unacceptable when he saw his mother crying because of his father.

"Daddy what's Mommy doing? Why is Mommy crying like that?" zio asked dislikefully with a look of looking at Reigha annoyed.

Reigha was glued to the spot. Three-year-old Zio knew he had hurt his mother.

'Am I selfish for wanting to keep Nala and my children to remain mine?' inner Reigha asked.

Now, Zia and Zio had already run to catch up with Nala who might be in her room. Now live Reigha with Miss Laras on the front porch of the house.

Not long after, Nala heard her mother's voice telling Zia and Zio to come with her.

"Zia and Zio join Oma yuk! Mommy might be taking a shower. You guys play first with Mba downstairs huh? Later Oma will try to talk to Mommy so as not to be sad again," said Ms. Laras to calm her two grandchildren.

After that, Nala could hear footsteps away from the front of her room. Then, the atmosphere went back to quiet. Nala gave a rough sigh then immediately got up and headed for the bathroom to wash her puffy face.

Not long after, Nala returned and sat down at the side of the bed. For some reason, when it was like this, Nala actually remembered Nanta.

After sitting on the side of the bed, Nala again cried as she pleased. And for a moment, ma'am Laras let his son cry so that all the tightness and pain in his heart could be reduced.

After quite a long cry, Nala's cry finally subsided. Bu Laras chose to return the sound.

"Sir, wash your face first, huh? It was his snot too while he was thrown yes," Pinta Bu Laras who made Nala chuckle but his face looks bent. Annoyed, funny, and sad at the same time.

"Mother don't be so dong. I laughed, " said Nala who is now frozen because her snot bloated like an air bubble.

Bu Laras finally laughed out loud at Nala's snot. "Scook you! Wash your face and throw away your snot!" screeched the Baras with a laugh.

Nala immediately ran to the bathroom to clean herself up. Not long after, Nala came back with a fresher face. Even though his eyes still look puffy.

Bu Laras smiled then patted the empty spot next to him for Nala to sit down. "Here, Nduk," said Bu Gentle Laras.

Nala complied and re-occupied herself in the original place.

"Mother. It's time you let go of someone who always hurt you. He doesn't deserve to be in a special position in your heart if his job only hurts" Ms. Laras advised.

Nala nodded in confirming. It is time for Nala to let go of a love that should not exist. Because there is still someone who deserves more love.

"Mom believes, you are an adult and must have been able to distinguish which ones to keep and which ones to leave behind. Let go of the love that only hurts your heart" said Bu Laras at length who immediately became the answer to the doubts that Nala felt.

The shadow of how Dandy's patience waiting for his love to reciprocate made Nala realize. Dandy is his best love. Not even if Dandy hurt his feelings. The man also never got angry or forced Nala to give an answer immediately.

Nala smiled meaningfully looking at the Mother. "Thank you for the advice, ma'am. Nala is now aware that being loved is better than loving" Nala said, hugging her mother tightly.
