Chapter 22 Eating Together
After Naruto finished his bath, he was stunned to see the delicious food that Kushina had finished cooking.
"Fuck? Have you finished your shower? Come here," take Kushina.
Naruto sat down and looked at Kushina who was taking food.
"Here, eat a lot. You definitely don't eat too much in the hospital, so eat as much" Kushina said.
"Itadakimasu," Naruto said before eating.
Gluey!
Naruto's teary eyes made Kushina confused.
"Eh? Is my cooking bad? Well, quickly spit out before you get a stomachache. Here, spew in this bucket," worried Kushina.
Naruto wiped his eyes before his tears came out. "The food is good, even very good."
"Then why do you want to cry?" ask Kushina.
This is my first time eating my mom's food. But there is no way I would say that, Naruto said in his heart.
"For 12 years, I lived an orphan, so being cooked like this by Kushina-sama, I felt like being cooked by my own mother," Naruto replied.
Naruto looked up at Kushina's face. "E-Eh?"
"Hiks, so is that it? Your life must have been very hard on dattebane" Kushina Baper said.
"Ahaha, it's okay. I have a great father and mother, so I can get through it. They're both my heroes dattebayo" Naruto said.
Hearing Naruto's words touched Kushina's heart. He smiled and ate.
"Itadakimasu" said Kushina.
The two men were talking at the dinner table.
After eating, Naruto helped Kushina clean up.
"Naruto, you can rest, I will take care of the rest, and thank you for helping me," Kushina said.
"Sama-sama," said Naruto.
Naruto headed to the living room. He sat on the sofa staring at the house.
"Kurama, are you still on your guard?" ask Naruto.
No response from Kurama made Naruto sigh.
Shortly after, Kushina walked out. "Naruto, did you me—‘’
Kushina's speech stopped because she saw Naruto had fallen asleep on the sofa. He just sighed with a smile.
Kushina turned to pick up the blanket and walked back to Naruto. For a moment, Kushina looked at Naruto's face before he enveloped the boy.
"Accepted. Uh, haven't you slept?" ask Minato who just got home.
"Okaerinasai," welcome Kushina.
Minato saw Naruto fall asleep who had just been enveloped by his wife. "He's asleep, huh?"
Kushina nodded with a smile. He looked back at Naruto. "Ne Minato, I somehow felt something when I was near Naruto. Do you feel the same way?"
"What do you mean feel?" ask Minato.
"Something that cannot be explained. I feel like I have a very close relationship with him" Kushina said.
Minato looked at Naruto and recalled how the boy helped him win the war. "I feel the same way."
"Yes, right? I knew you'd feel like it was dattebane, too" Kushina said.
The two looked back at Naruto with pity.

Hearing the birds chirp, Naruto opened his eyes slowly.
"It's morning, huh?" he asked while rubbing one eye.
He stood up and walked to the bathroom.

Kitchen
"You're awake, aren't you? Ohayou," said Kushina.
"Ohayou," said Minato.
"Um, ohayou," replied Naruto.
"Sana, clean your face first just come to breakfast," said Kushina.
Shortly thereafter, Naruto came after cleaning his face.
"Is your sleep good?" asked Minato who was reading the newspaper.
"I-Yya Yondaime Hokage" said Naruto.
Minato smiled stiffly. "Ahaha, there's no need to call me that when there's only three of us."
Kushina turned off the stove and joined in.
"Itadakimasu," said everyone.
