Chapter 96 Naruto Vs Gaara
In the first final match, Naruto fought Hyuga Neji. The two fought fiercely while being stared at by Minato and Hiashi.
Of course all the frenzy saw the Hokage's son fight with one of the clan members who was famous for his Kekkei Genkai.
Even so, Naruto's ability is still not perfect, making him lose to Neji. Naruto was forced to expel the Kyuubi chakra.
Minato and Kushina were wide-eyed.
That chakra, they said they were both compact in heart.
The two return to a great fight, and after the smoke subsides, Neji emerges victorious. However, before he was declared the winner, Naruto emerged from the ground and punched him until he claimed victory.
In the next match, Nara Shikamaru fights Temari. Shikamaru used a shadowy stance to trap the girl. Temari managed to dodge and was able to fend it off. Despite winning his fight, Shikamaru fell down as his power ran out in an attempt to fend off Temari.
Sasuke then fought Gaara. He tried to break through Sunagakure's child's defenses. Sasuke prepares an attack that Kakashi teaches him, Chidori. However, trouble ensued with Gaara losing control as he attempted to defeat Sasuke.
The red-haired boy escaped in the form of a half-Shukaku. The Jounins pursue Gaara to stop him from wreaking havoc. Naruto and the others approached Gaara who was heading into the forest.
‘’What the fuck? Why does he look weird?’’ ask Naruto.
‘’Kudengar, Sunagakure Village made Gaara as Jinchuriki one-tailed monster,’’ Rock Lee said.
Naruto was surprised. ‘’Why don't I know this?’’
Unlike the Jounins who were looking for him, Naruto found Gaara first on the other side of the forest.
‘’Gaara!’’ exciting Naruto.
Gaara turned and attacked Naruto. Rock Lee and Sakura helped, but they both crashed due to such a powerful attack.
Sasuke catches Sakura's body and leaves it to Kuchiyose Kakashi's dog. He fights Gaara, but his chakra starts to run out.
Naruto and Gaara fought, though Gaara was superior. Not long after, Gaara grimaced to make Naruto raise his head.
‘’A-Is this the one-tailed monster that Rock Lee meant earlier?’’ naruto asked gazing at Gaara who had changed completely into Shukaku.
Naruto's hands clenched. ‘’Although this has not been perfect after Ero Sennin trained me, I have no other choice.’’

‘’Kuchiyose no Jutsu!’’ exciting Naruto.
‘’It's silly. I don't want to,’’ Gammabunta said.
‘’Heh?! That's your duty, right? It should be that the boss helped his subordinates dattebayo!’’ nagging Naruto while hitting the frog's head.
‘’Dad, just listen to what he says,’’ said the little Gammakichi above Naruto's head.

After Gammabunta restrained Shukaku, Naruto jumped towards Gaara and hit him. ‘’Right wake up!’’

Naruto was about to approach Gaara but his legs sank immediately. He called Gammabunta to protect him from the sand attack. Not wanting to give up, red chakra instantly burst out from Naruto's body.
The yellow-haired boy was freed from the bandage and was about to hit Gaara. But the sand stopped him. Naruto grimaced and tried to reach Gaara until he hit his own head.
The instant Gaara's sand broke made him dodge.
The two of them continued to fight, and each dealt a blow to each other.
The two children were on the ground. Gaara turned his head towards Naruto who was crawling towards him. ‘’Do not approach!’’
‘’I don't understand your changes. You remember when we were kids, even though our village was hostile, I always came to call you to play quietly. We both enjoyed it. But, the 5 great nations are hostile to each other, I never heard from you again, until I found out that a tailed monster was put into your body. The pain is unbearable after you go through all this,’’ Naruto said.
‘’Why?’’ ask Gaara.
‘’I won't let anyone of value to me get hurt dattebayo. Therefore, I will stop you even if I have to kill you!’’ said Naruto.
‘’Why are you fighting for a stranger like me?’’ ask Gaara.
Naruto smile. ‘’You are not a stranger, but a friend of mine. It is also because of the love that makes us to protect the people we care about. On your forehead is a kanji that means love. I'm sure it's your parents' love so you should be filled with love. They may have a reason why they chose you to be the container. Therefore, stop harboring it yourself because I exist!’’

Gaara swerved, since long ago only Naruto became his friend. Naruto is his first friend.
After Naruto managed to stop Shukaku from going berserk, the two of them underwent treatment before progressing to the second phase of the Chunnin exam.
