Chapter 27 The Inauguration of Jounin
Sandaime looked at Minato. ‘’Yondaime-sama, please do the inauguration of Jounin for Uzumaki Naruto.’’
‘’Iya Sandaime-sama,’’ said Minato.
‘’Naruto!’’ obito exclaimed making everyone stare at the black-haired boy.
Obito walked over to Naruto. He also faced the yellow-haired boy. Everyone who saw it already knew that Obito would not accept this.
‘’You,’’ Obito hand outstretched.

Naruto was wide-eyed as were the others when he saw Obito clenching his hands while extending forward.
‘’Currently you and Kakashi may already be Jounin, once again you're ahead of me. I may indeed be weak and not good at using jutsu, even sloppy. But, I'm not giving up. I will surpass you and become the Hokage. Just wait for it, my rival,’’ said Obito.

Minato as the 4th Hokage and the other council members perform Naruto's inauguration as Jounin. It made all the people of Konoha talk about Naruto. Not only that, it was reported to have spread outside the village.

Obito and Naruto put on their stupid faces.
This guy, why does he always know the news so quickly? He also told us that Minato sensei would be the 4th Hokage, said Obito and Naruto.
‘’Congratulations on your degree,’’ says Asuma.
‘’Congratulations,’’ says Kurenai.
Naruto smiled at them. ‘’Sankyuu minna.’’
‘’Naruto? Since you're now a Jounin, what gift would you like?’’ ask Minato.
‘’Heh~ gift? No more, my eyes are only one, there is no way I give this other sharing as a gift. If I lose both my eyes, I cannot see the enlightenment of the beautiful angel,’’ Obito.

‘’Then you go Naruto. Me and the others will find you a gift,’’ Obito said.
