Chapter 17: Conversations at the Tree House ...
"Why are you here by yourself ?" carlo asked the girl in front of him. The tree house looked very narrow to the two of them. Thick dust makes the occasional tall athletic man rubbed his nose that looks blushed to red.
" Carlo don't you have any intention of finding another job ? I mean..you are handsome and intelligent.Since childhood you were with my family..Is there no boredom in you working for my father ?" ask Nina spontaneously. Carlo did not expect Nina's question to be thrown away. But he tried to cover up his shock so as not to be seen on his face.
"Why are you asking like that ? Don't you like me being around you ? Become your personal bodyguard and your father ?" carlo softly replied to the girl's question in front of him.
"No,Carlo ! I didn't mean to make you feel that way. To me you're not just like a bodyguard or a brother to me...You know I only have you and my father in this world...I just want to know your answer to my question..Can't you answer that without questioning it again, Carlo ?" say the girl back. Carlo let out a long, gentle breath. She smiled back at him, knowing that the girl had really grown into a critical adult woman.
"Hmm.well.I won't lie to you...You know, your father has adopted me since childhood...He treated me very well, Nina ..I thought of him as my own father. Working for him is not a burden to me...But because I saw him as a filial filial to his own father. And one more thing you need to know, Nina. I was given the task of being your personal bodyguard by your father and for me. It was a best gift, I only have you and your father in this world, so I look at you as I look at myself...How could I possibly feel bored of myself Nina." Carlo replied softly and gently. "By the way ..how did you take the initiative to go to this tree house ? " ask Carlo to divert the conversation.
"Nothing .I just feel bored and eager to explore the entire area of this island Carlo..Have you ever gone deeper in the woods there ?" his tananya while pointing towards the lush area covered with big dense trees.
"No Nina.and don't ever try to get in there...You know the forest over there has never been entered by anyone, even as far as I know your father's employees have never traced it..I hope you don't have a crazy idea to explore it alone..You don't intend to do that, do you, Nina ?" carlo asked in a suspicious but gentle, firm look at the girl without blinking until Nina could feel it. Nina knew if Carlo had looked at her like that, he would not have been able to lie to the man.
"Hmm .well I have a curiosity to go there Carlo.but I don't think my guts are big enough to explore it alone especially after you say this to me.." said Nina back. Carlo was happy to hear the girl's answer. He clasped the girl's hand and said: "We should go home now before afternoon.." He pulled the girl down through the narrow tree house door. Nina couldn't resist. He followed the man's words. They came down from the tree house filled with a million beautiful memories. And walk out back home...
