Chapter 31: Jessie's CCTV Footage

A man wearing a black t-shirt with blue denim and a blue hat entered a Chinese restaurant. He sat at a table not far from the cashier. The man took the available space for 4 people.He was sitting alone. After about 2 minutes, a blonde maid approached him. He gives a menu list and holds a small note in his hand.

The man flipped through the menu and seemed to be talking to the waiter in seconds. The servant nodded his head while writing something in a small book in his hand. Before long the waiter took the menu list and returned to the kitchen section of the restaurant.

The man was silent and looked out the window occasionally. About 3 minutes later, the man pulled the phone out of his pocket. Not knowing what he was doing, but he seemed busy playing with his handphone. Up to 10 minutes later, the blonde maid returned to her desk and brought a tray of food and drinks to the man.

The man looked at the waiter's face and nodded his head, as the waiter placed all the food and drink on his desk.

The man then seemed to eat the menu he had ordered. Sometimes he drank. Until the 20th minute after the man almost spent half the food served on his plate, he seemed to hold his chest. Sometimes he coughed and it did not take long the man's face fell to the front, until then followed by several people approaching his desk.

Till...It's realized. Something is wrong with the CCTV footage. The man wearing a blue hat, who was none other than his deceased colleague Jessie, was several times seen looking out the window. He zoomed in on the CCTV footage, but he could not clearly see the footage. It looks so hazy . But, he sure look Jessie look looking for/waiting someone. Until the part where Jessie is taking out her phone, there appears the finger of the man, like typing something. Could it be that Jessie was sending an SMS to someone ?.

Ray again saw the impressions of the seconds where Jessie was eating before she fell and died on the spot. Ray tried to menzoom it. But because the CCTV video is not good, until if the resolution is enlarged, the resulting image appears broken and unclear. Ray tried to shrink the picture little by little. Until it looks from a distance he can see like a fillet meat presented on a plate Jessie. He was not too sure of his vision because the footage was far away. Ray remembered the words of dr. Breymen told him that Jessie's body found a number of tetrodotoxin substances with doses high enough to turn off his partner. He was increasingly convinced that the menu Jessie ate was a puffer fish menu, which is the most luxurious menu in the Chinese restaurant. The menu was the cause of his friend's death.Ray was very sure now with his conjecture. But, a Jessie who is only a low-ranking police officer, could he be willing to spend a large amount of money just to taste the most luxurious menu. Ray seemed unsure of this. He believes someone must have planned everything carefully to kill Jessie his co-worker.

Ray's forehead is getting crispy. He returned to the CCTV footage. Until suddenly the wrinkles on his forehead slowly subsided. He knows Ray must be able to find new evidence that can reveal Jessie's death is not just sudden heart disease. Ray believes Jessie is the victim of a premeditated murder.
