Chapter 23: The First Gift of the Heart Tribulation

Nina had been in a traffic crowd on the highway around Bellarose. The road to where his family's private Ferry is located is quite far away. Actually Nina intends to buy an apartment in this area. His magnificent house that resembles a castle and is on a small island called Wonder Island is very difficult for him. He had to use the Ferry to get to the Bellarose area on the island next door. After almost 1 hour more driving his car, Nina arrived at his Ferry port. There is a parking lot that is wide enough to accommodate about 10 cars. The harbor guard never knew about Nina because Nina always dressed Lucy. They only know Lucy is an employee of his company. They smiled to greet him professionally when he arrived in front of a guard post.

Lucy replied with just a friendly smile without a word. He headed for the Ferry that had been prepared with a driver who was driving. Nina sat in it while carrying 2 bags large enough to contain groceries that had just been purchased.it took 20 minutes to get to the castle. Nina only sighed because of her tiredness trapped in the density of the previous Bellarose highway. But the gust of wind slowly erased his fatigue and fatigue. Carlo sees his watch the time has shown almost at 08:30 am but he does not see Nina anywhere. She understood, that girl must have fallen asleep so fast last night. Carlo called a private maid who used to be in charge of preparing food for this family.

"Have you seen Nina ?" carlo asked a maid in her 16s.

"No, Mr. Carlo..Miss Nina hasn't come out of her room yet." said the waiter to her.

"Have you brought her breakfast ?" ask Carlo back.

"Not yet, Mr. Carlo..Miss Nina's breakfast is still in the dining room.is ..."

"alright..Let me deliver it myself directly.." Sela Carlo before the waiter finished his sentence. Carlo shook his hand. A sign that he told the waiter to leave. The young servant bowed down and passed from before him.

Carlo headed to the dining room. He picked up a push trolley and carried a golden-brass tray containing a sandwich bread with fries and a glass of orange juice as the main course. as well as a small plate containing mango silk pudding as a dessert that morning. Carlo immediately led her to Nina's room.

For some reason after Don Pablo's talk yesterday, this man felt his love for him was growing. It was like showing it to the girl. But in order to state it directly, Carlo felt it was not yet time for this girl to know her feelings blatantly.

" It looks like you fell asleep too fast, Princess...Mary was doing other chores in the kitchen..So I took the initiative to help her deliver your food this time.." Carlo said as he placed the tray containing food on one of the tables in the corner of the room close to the room window.

"Oh.yah.it seems that I woke up too late today.until Carloku got the additional task of waking up and preparing my breakfast this morning...next time maybe Mary will be happy if you take over her duties again like today." Nina told Carlo with a smile on her white teeth. He walked over to the table with his breakfast. Carlo who heard the girl's words smiled as he slightly shook his head. He knew why Don Pablo loved his daughter so much. Nina is a stubborn girl. He was always good at replying to her in an elegant way. But for Carlo, maybe Nina's stubbornness is often irritated but able to make Cupid's arrow in his heart is not able to be uprooted.

"You still need my help, Princess ? Because I feel sorry for Mary if I have to tell her to wait for you to finish your breakfast here and get overwhelmed at her other tasks." Carlo replies with a knotty smile with a few raised eyebrows.

"Ooh ..of course I'd prefer you to make you more overwhelmed because you dare to take over Mary's duties.Sit down, Carlo.I'll feel guilty driving you out of my room without me finishing my breakfast.."nina replied with a slight laugh. He knew how his father's personal servant had always been firm and courteous to him. He knew Carlo was a strict and disciplined man with the time and rules of this house. But Carlo is not a rude person. For Nina Carlo it resembles her own father. Carlo is always on his guard and arranges anything against him. But Nina never felt the slightest bit disturbed and objected to it. Carlo sat facing him. He got rid of the trolley eating a little away.

"You've had breakfast, Carlo ?" nina asked the man in front of her even though she actually knew Carlo's answer to her. Carlo simply nodded his head while smiling at the girl before him who was still wearing his towel kimono with long hair past his wet shoulders unraveling.

"Oh.yeah..seven a while.almost I forgot.." Nina woke up from her seat she walked to the corner of the bed where on the bedside table there is a black branded shopping bag with a gold brand logo. The pouch contained the clutch bag he bought yesterday specifically for Carlo.

" This is for you." said Nina briefly handing the bag over to Carlo. Carlo smiled accepting it.

"Hmm..for me ? Is an apology from the Princess who woke up bad luck ?" carlo answered, one eye slipping. Tease Nina. Nina seemed to laugh hearing the man.

"Should I spend money just because I woke up bad luck today ?! Of course not, Carlo..You're the only man who's always been there for me other than my own father, so I want to give you a gift..I hope you like it " said Nina smiling at the man. Carlo who heard it looked so happy. He understands well with the girl. Although he was good at words and jokes, but the man could tell when Nina was joking and when she was serious about it.

"Sure, Nina.whatever gift you give.I will definitely like it.You are also the only woman in my life all this time." replied Carlo in a serious flat tone. He pulled out a black box with a golden ribbon. A brown clutch bag with a classy look inside. He holds the bag.

"I will always use it wherever I go." said Carlo flatly put the gift back into the box and bag.

"Have your breakfast done right away.Do you have an exit schedule today ?" carlo asked the girl. Nina was slicing a sandwich in front of her.

"Hmm .. doesn't seem to exist. What's up ?"ask Nina back to him.

"If you don't have a schedule .. I'd like to take you to dinner at my place today.You can ?"carlo asked the girl back.

"Of course Carlo.with pleasure.." Nina said to him. I don't know why Nina felt awkward and her heart was racing. Just this first time he felt like there was something different in his heart to Carlo. It felt like there was a flowery feeling in his heart towards the man before him. He wanted to get rid of it all the way but it looked like he couldn't. Until suddenly Nina felt ashamed of herself because the heart in her chest was beating harder and faster. He himself does not know why.he spends his breakfast quickly while bowing shy.worried man in front of him can hear the heartbeat and awkwardness that suddenly just present on him...
