Chapter 3 Beautiful Co-Worker, Wen (Revised)

He felt he was about to die a second time, but he did not die. He only felt that his entire body was in pain and he could not move his body.

“Do you want to kill me?”

The system replied in a nonchalant tone.

“So why did you hurt me?”

“Sial!” he had never expected that the punishment for failing to carry out a mission was to be struck by lightning.

“Will you keep sending me lightning if I fail?”

Glenn's eyes widened in shock. “What do you mean?”

“Damn you!” he cursed again. “I'll kill you!”

But the system did not reply to his swearing at all and only said in a nonchalant tone.

Glenn remained silent. In his entire life he had never found anyone who dared to threaten him. And he found one after his soul moved to another world. He'll probably find the others later. All because he is weak.

Glenn calmed himself down. “So what should I do now?”

He couldn't believe that the damn system was telling him to sleep and rest. “So how about my new mission?”

The office? He immediately remembered that he was on leave due to illness for three days. His retirement will end tomorrow.

Glenn felt the mission this time was normal and he could do it. He also set an alarm on his phone. He will not fail again this time. The punishment of the lightning strike was truly frightening to him, especially after knowing that he could be sexually paralyzed. After which it slowly closed its eyes and fell asleep.

The next morning, he actually woke up early because the alarm went off. He cleaned himself up and put on his work uniform. It was a white shirt combined with a black blazer, with black cloth pants. Formal clothing worn by all adults in this world while working.

His work is quite far from his apartment. It takes about thirty minutes to travel on his old bike. His apartment which used to have a closer distance, unfortunately the rent cost more than doubled so he had to move to a smaller place far from the city center. But the price is cheap.

By the time he reached his room, the room was still quiet because he had arrived earlier this time. Shortly after, someone arrived. He's his co-worker, Wen. They stared at each other for a second, before Wen ignored him and sat down in his chair.

Wen is a popular girl who is at her workplace. She is the prettiest female employee of all the female employees in the company. So there are many men trying to get close to him. He is also very friendly to everyone.

(Mission detected. Ask Wen to speak for fifteen minutes)

The system gives a new mission out of the blue again. Glenn frowned. It just so happened that the position of the chair was directly facing the woman. It's not a difficult mission but she still feels awkward because she hasn't spoken to Wen even though they've been co-workers for over a year.

“Ehem. Do you always come early, Miss Wen?” Glenn asked awkwardly.

Wen scrunched his forehead. “Iya”.He also felt awkward. He had not expected that the man in front of him would suddenly invite him to speak.

“You are really diligent and smart” added Glenn. She tried to praise him because she knew that women loved compliments.

“It's not like that. Everything is just a habit and I am not at all smart” Wen responded with a little embarrassment. But he hid that shame well. The crowd praised him for his appearance, so he felt used to it. But few people praised her nature and other things, so she still felt awkward.

“I heard you were sick a lot. Did something happen to your health?” Wen asked. He knew Glenn was very often absent due to health issues.

“I don't eat well. Only hull problems”

“So..”.

Glenn asked other things related to work. He kept their conversation going for fifteen minutes. Wen responded so well that they subconsciously enjoyed the topic of their conversation.

(WALL! Congratulations master managed to talk to Wen for fifteen minutes. Luck +1)

Wen's impression of Glenn also changed. He did not think that Glenn was the type who was articulate and clever. He was very passive and quiet before. He also had a gloomy aura coming out from his body. Aura like ‘do not approach me’, which makes people awkward with its existence. But he didn't see all that stuff from Glenn right now.

They stopped talking when the other employees started coming in one by one. And finally their working hours began. At exactly eight in the morning, their manager came and watched everyone for a few minutes.

This manager has a fat and short stature. His face had an unsightly expression as it always put on a perverted face when looking at the female employees.

“Wen came to my room at rest. There's something I want to talk about” After finishing his speech, the fat manager started looking at Wen with a big smile.

“Good pak” Wen responded with a flat and polite tone of voice.

Then the fat manager returned to his room. The moment the fat manager left, the suppressing aura in the room disappeared. And everyone started doing their own work.

Glenn did not like this manager. He had conflicts with that fat man before. The man stole his idea and made the idea his own. Even he did not give any compensation to her after his stolen idea was a huge success. Glenn has not liked it at all. But he has to work.

When the break came, everyone started to head to the cafeteria. The room was empty again. Only Glenn was there because he didn't go to the cafeteria. He has to save his money. The food in the cafeteria was quite expensive for him.

Then he heard a rumbling sound from the room behind him. That's the fat manager's room. He wasn't sure until he could faintly hear someone shouting. And that's a woman's voice.

Reflex, Glenn headed straight there and opened the door forcefully. Then he could see a scene he had never expected at all. He could see the fat man slapping a woman who was none other than Wen. He saw that the entire room was a mess and the condition of Wen's clothes was also unfounded.

The fat manager froze as Glenn opened the door all of a sudden. Wen also stopped crying. The woman quickly got up to her feet and fled out of the room.
