Chapter 6: The Origin of the Battle Force

In front of him was the main lecture hall of Dawn Academy. The design was like the shape of a large bird stretching its wings, with both "wings" encircling the central square; it looked like a bird embracing the central area. The main hall has five floors that serve as the main office for instructors from various disciplines taught in the academy. The other two wings have only four floors consisting of 80 classrooms at a time and can accommodate up to 4000 students in total at any given time.

To the left of the mini square between the wings was a white stone building. Originally, it was an outpost of defense, but in recent times it has been used as an office for the Department of Enforcement as well as the Department of Student Affairs. To the right of the square is a small forest which is an ideal place for training and even romantic gatherings.

In order to meet the head of the academy, Lorist had to go through the main hall of the lecture hall, revolving around the assembly area and the canteen, respectively, it passed through the herb garden and research building used mainly by the academy's herbalists and finally the library before he arrived at the main administrative building, which was previously an abandoned training ground. The office of the head of the academy was on the top floor of the administrative building.

Although it is a multidisciplinary academy with a history of over 153 years, Dawn Academy is not famous for its War Forces or its swordsmanship courses. Most other schools that rank above them usually have a Blademaster in charge of two courses.

In contrast, the academy is more famous for accounting, archaeology, language studies, herbalism as well as the study of magical beasts. They are also quite famous for their painting and music composition courses.

To ensure that their students are multitalented and holistic, Dawn Academy confirms that all students choose two other professional disciplines and one art course in addition to their main War Forces and swordsmanship courses or they will not be allowed to graduate. On the other hand, the academy does not care how long it takes to graduate as long as the fees are paid.

In addition to several well-known courses, the academy also has several other disciplines for students to choose from, namely, construction, sculpture, city management, business management, knight training, horseback riding, ship building, etc, blacksmith and tannery. They even have one course specifically designed for the descendants of noble families among which include flower awards and luxury dining courses.

Although these other courses are not the best in the academy, they still hold a certain standard and only employ qualified instructors. Since this course only teaches the basics of the discipline, students can easily graduate and graduate, provided they make a decent effort into it.

Lorist took accounting and knight training as his additional professional courses. It was chosen ten years ago by his uncle who also handles all the business affairs of his family. Initially, the magi chose to tame the magical beast, but they immediately felt that it was not a good choice, either, because the beast had relatively low intelligence and could not efficiently understand the magi's instructions. Problems solved with wild beasts usually ended up messy or bloody.

Battle Force completely changed the human world. Having the techniques to train in the Battle Force, a magically incompetent human can develop against a savage beast without the protection of the Magi. Not only did it greatly reduce the responsibility of the magi to protect normal humans thus allowing them more time to pursue their own interests, it also provided the magi with a formidable army.

After that discovery, various other blood types of different magical beasts were integrated into the human body and thus different types of Battle Power attributes were identified. At that moment, the awakening and training of the Battle Force occurred with the help of magical formations. Magi also categorize different levels of power and their different abilities. With extensive research conducted by the magi, Battle Force training became easier and faster and humans with Battle Force began to appear everywhere, with the speed of training they were getting faster and faster. In time, the God Sword roamed the world and the Sacred Sword scattered all over the place.

A thousand years is the most glorious age of man. The countless planes conquered by them supplied Grindia with a large amount of resources and wealth. At that moment, the fairies were singing to humans, half of them were cooking amazing delicacies, the dwarves were waking them magnificent palaces, the dragons were serving as their mounts, and they were, minotaurs plowed their fields, wild animals herded their cattle; all other races respected humans and treated them with great respect.

However, something happened and triggered the beginning of the end. Some magi explorers from the boundless void find the remote ruins of a race of gods on an abandoned plane. The magi soon learned that all the resources available on countless planes did not even add the slightest amount of resources on the god race plane. On that plane were countless high-level magical materials, the purest ore mines as well as the secret, mysterious secret of immortality.

All the magi shifted their focus to the land of the gods. They formed a large and powerful group of magi and deployed the Sword God army as well as raided the planes of the gods.

The war waged by the magi against the gods lasted a thousand years. The many different countries on the plane were eradicated and the blood of countless magi and Sword Gods polluted the battlefield. Neither side emerged victorious from the war; both sides were left paralyzed and ravaged. The event was as described by the 'War of the Gods', blood stained the sky, countless brilliant stars fell like meteors, human greed ignited earth-shattering changes and darkness enveloped the world ……

The real factor that triggered the fall of humans was the gradual depletion of magical powers that were once ubiquitous, causing the great magi to lose their main source of power. No one knew the cause of such a phenomenon, but they were all convinced that the era of magic was coming to an end.

When the magi lost their last strand of power, the Gods and Sword Saints who were previously subordinates reckoned that their time had come, and that the main driving force in the near future of Grindia is the War Forces at their disposal. For the sake of their own selfish ambitions, they began to fight each other. No longer bound by the covenant with the magi, they kill, plunder and destroy the will of their hearts. They hate being under the control of the magi and vent their anger on the magnificent buildings built during the times of magical civilizations. They will not be satisfied until everything is reduced to ashes.

Establishing their own kingdom or nation, they towered above the commoners and were worshipped by their subjects. But in their arrogance, they had forgotten that without the help of magi from the start, they had no right to have what they had. As they grow up, they discover that their descendants cannot inherit their fantastical abilities and are just ordinary humans because they do not know how to draw an Innate War Force in their blood. Their kingdoms and inheritances they built were left without a qualified heir.

When the last Sword Saint exhaled his last breath, a thousand years of darkness descended upon the human inhabitants of Grindia. Having lost their main means of defense, humans could not fend off the dreaded and powerless ferocious beasts against their attacks. They had no choice but to live in seclusion in order to survive.

The human population of the continent was reduced by two-thirds during the thousand years of darkness.

However, a lone warrior miraculously awakens his Battle Power in a battle to the death with a magical beast while he is hunting. Using the strength of his newly awakened Battle Force, he killed the beasts and survived. Fortunately, the settlement he lived in still had the ancient War Forces manuals passed down by his ancestors.

The curtains of the night were lifted and the rays of dawn once again shone on the people. The awakening of the only knightly War Force is a silver lining and brings great hope to mankind, encouraging the survivors to cooperate and research alternative ways to resurrect the War Force.

Over the years of fighting against ferocious beasts, humans slowly began to understand the dynamics of the Battle Force and understand how to awaken the Battle Force. Without the magical formations of the magi and given that the War Forces manuals left behind by their ancestors did not apply to them, humans could only learn from their experience in battle through the process of trial and error. Their progress is slow, but steady.

A thousand years passed and man once again became the ruler of the Grindia Continent. Battle Force is no longer a mysterious discipline and has become common knowledge. It was thought that if a family had produced a Sword God or Sword Saint in the past, it was, their descendants would have a higher chance of awakening their Battle Strength as the blood of magical beasts assimilated by their ancestors came from stronger magical beasts, even more powerful ones, and it is believed to be a major factor of the relatively high success rate for the revival of the War Forces from the descendants of such families.

That line of thinking caused many noble families to pay more attention to their family marriages in order to maintain a purer bloodline, even forcing siblings to marry in certain cases.
