Camp Intrusion and Takeover

Chapter 60: Camp Intrusion and Takeover

The horseman who was left behind most turned around and pushed his spear madly towards Lorist. He did not expect there to be a stab to actually connect and just hoped that it would help prevent his punisher a little longer so that reinforcements from his camp would arrive and save him in time.

Catching the spear waving his hands with his bare hands, Lorist pulled it firmly and swung his sword towards the desperate horseman. "Agp!" The man shouted loudly as his left leg separated from his body as he fell on the ground with his head first.

Lorist caught up with another horseman who had already lost his spear midway during the chase. He could do nothing but stare at the approaching Lorist and stab him directly into the chest.

Shaking the body from the spear, Lorist saw that there were still six inhuman beasts riding him. The camp that was not too far away was already aware of the situation and opened the main gate. Ten horsemen equipped with similar equipment rushed out of the camp.

At that moment, one of the fleeing horsemen noticed that his ride was slowing down. Suddenly, he lost his footing and hit the head of the ground first, rolling on the ground due to inertia. When it stops, it only twitches a few times before it stops completely moving. The horseman, however, was quick enough to respond to that when he jumped from the saddle as soon as his horse fell, and rolled around on the ground to break his fall before recovering and standing with the spear still holding tightly in his arms. Seeing Lorist approaching him on horseback, the horseman made a savage expression, gave a battle cry and rushed forward with his spear. His target was not Lorist himself, but his mount.

Giving a cold laugh, Lorist waved the spear in his right hand to meet the punch. A moment before the two spears collided, the horseman descending from the horse stared arrogantly and a sword blade suddenly protruded from his weapon.

Oh, so he's a Silver-ranked fighter. Lorist still remembered that during the scene of the disaster in the convoy earlier, he noticed that there were two Silver ranks among the assailants, he was aware of, one of them had been hit by his horse by Lorist with the other being killed by Terman. He did not expect that there would be another one among the fleeing horsemen. However, his intent regarding crashing into Lorist's horse with his sword was something of a waste when; lorist swung his spear, causing it to collide with the other spear and knock it off the track.

Not only did Lorist's spear not break through the sparkle of his sword, he also felt a powerful surge of energy through his weapon, unwittingly making him unleash it. Gazing in disbelief, the horseman could only see Lorist's spear piercing through his chest at lightning speed.

The other five horsemen used their spurs to jerk their horses faster as they saw ten other reinforcements approaching from in front of them with Lorist quickly approaching them. Their horses screamed in pain and shot faster like arrows that had just been shot from a bow.

Thinking that they were clear when they saw the reinforcements, the five horsemen heaved a sigh of relief. Just as they were about to greet the incoming soldiers, some of them noticed the shocked expressions of those who had come to help them and turned around to the back. Much to their surprise, Lorist had already caught up with them. Pulling a large bow in the air with his spear, Lorist swung it towards one of the horsemen and caused it to fall silently from his horse with the back of his skull fractured.

The shadow of the spear moving at high speed could hardly be seen as it swayed around while making a sound that sounded in the air. The other two horsemen sliced their backs seven or eight times with Lorist and instantly fell off the horse. The two remaining horsemen lowered their bodies to lean on their horses to avoid beating while the reinforcement troops cursed and charged at Lorist after seeing three of their comrades killed so easily.

The first of the reinforcement troops that had walked in front of Lorist, a Silver rank warrior, raised his spear which emitted blade light and pointed it towards Lorist's upper body. After swinging his own spear in the wrong direction from the enemy, Lorist tracked the weapon back to the horseman's neck and decapitated it.

Lifting his spear and spurring his horse, Lorist rushed towards the ten incoming horsemen. A loud boom rang out as the spear collided, with Lorist occasionally finding his way onto some of the horsemen's bodies, causing various screams to reverberate and mix. In just one exchange, among 7 of the 13 reinforcements of the cavalry, 2 were on the ground fighting in pain with the other 5 long dead. The remaining six reinforcements returned to the formation, however, none of them dared to go forward attacking.

Looking at the two remaining horsemen who had initially attacked the convoy distancing themselves from him, Lorist quickly continued his pursuit while the six horsemen behind him felt humiliated that they were completely ignored and started cursing loudly as they followed behind Lorist.

But, Lorist paid him no heed as if he did not realize the rest were approaching him gradually from behind at all. When one of them finally got close enough and prepared to stab him with his spear, Lorist suddenly twisted his body and hooked the man with his spear and swung it towards the other horseman. Before the second horseman could decide whether he should catch his comrade coming, he saw Lorist suddenly change direction, and in an instant, two of his comrades had fallen off their horses.

The horseman was greatly shocked and no longer cared about his approaching allies. As he dodged that air-borne body, the sudden glint of the spear blade seemed to enlarge before his face, it was followed by a cold metallic feeling in his nose before everything turned black as he lost consciousness.

Without too much time, Lorist managed to send the six horsemen chasing after him. Turning back in the direction where the other two had escaped, he noticed that they were only about 100 meters away from the main gate of the camp, with 40 plus other horsemen riding against him.

Although the campground looked quite large, there were very few warriors coming out, Lorist thought curiously. Correctly, hundreds of soldiers should have rushed out like hordes of bees at this time considering that they had seen dozens of their comrades slaughtered right in front of their camp.

Once again rushing towards the enemy, Lorist placed his spear horizontally above the saddle and grabbed his javelin with his right hand. Seeing the approximately 40 horsemen approaching, with a few grunts in a short period of time, he spent all 24 of his javelins, with each carrying the life of one horseman with them. As the remaining 20 people were still stunned by the sight and doubtful whether to continue the attack, Lorist raised his fist once more and dove straight into their midst. With the horse maneuvering like a swimming dragon and the spear attacking like lightning bolts, one after another the horsemen fell down quickly. After a while, the remaining 6 or 7 horsemen screamed and returned to their camp to escape.

The two who were instrumental in attacking the convoy had just arrived at the gate of the camp and the guards guarding the gate were desperately trying to shut it down. If they were not so eager to close the gate, Lorist would still remain outside to fend off the other horsemen while allowing the two to escape, however, as he noted that, however, Lorist thought that the main force might not be the t in the camp after all. Otherwise, why would only dozens of people come out instead of hundreds? Even if they did not have enough horses, there were still infantry units.

Now that he had a premonition, Lorist stopped hesitating and followed behind the fleeing cavalry and quickly arrived before the gate. The guards at the gate quickly picked up their spears that had been leaning against the wall in an attempt to block Lorist, who was not a single player, only to end up dead on the side of the gate with a hole dug deep into their chest.

After entering the camp, Lorist noticed that it was actually quite empty. It seemed that the people who came out to fight him just now happened to be near the gate at that time. Furthermore, the two demons were seen descending from their horses and entering the tent, presumably to report the encounter with their superior officer.

There was not a single soldier standing guard outside the tent that the two had entered. Lorist descended from his horse, threw his spear aside and unsheathed his sword before walking towards the tent.

The tent looked quite spacious from the outside and loud scolding sounds could be heard.

Pushing the entrance of the tent open, Lorist could see the two fleeing horsemen kneeling to him and begging for mercy. Great . I don't need to waste so much energy right now because they won't resist. With his flashing sword, Lorist cut the branches of the two people into small pieces, causing them to roll around on the ground and beg for quick death.

Wwing! The sound of two swords being pulled from the sheath could be heard. It was then that Lorist raised his head to inspect the two men standing in the middle of the tent.

Standing in front of the bed inside the tent was a fat man with dark brown hair and gray eyes whose upper body was naked, wearing a fierce expression. In front of him was a bench where stood a man wearing chain clothes. The two of them currently had a puzzled expression with both of their swords pointing at Lorist.

"You ... Who are you? How did you get in here? ”The middle-aged man wearing the chain stuttered. Looking at the two legless horsemen twitching in pain on the ground and turning his gaze back to Lorist, he came out of his trance and exhaled a long breath before saying, “You actually dare to injure my people in front of me? You are so stupid! ”

Without waiting for Lorist to retaliate, the brown-haired man regained his composure and jumped towards him like a raging storm, sending two blades of light flying towards Lorist with a two-handed sword.

"Are you scared now, son? It's too late to regret. I'll make you understand that daring to fight us inside our own camp is just a death wish! ”

"Ptoey!" Lorist displayed a completely unconcerned expression and said, "So what if you are ranked Gold? It's not like I've never fought before. Since you said that these two enemies are your subordinates, then I guess you should be their leader? Then I guess I'll have to make you pay for the sins of your people who actually dared to attack my people. Even though they have been annihilated by me, you still hold the responsibility as their leader for not disciplining them well enough. How do you intend to make up for my loss? "

"What's? You want me to pay you back even if you've killed my men? Let your mother roll around in hell, how presumptuous! I won't rest until I skin you alive! ”Shouted the brown-haired man. With a heavy kick, he sent the brazier that was on the ground flying towards Lorist and rushed behind him with his sword prepared.

Sol, Lorist cursed in his mind. Although the man looked rough and slow, he was actually very intelligent and sharp. While he looked like he was rushing towards Lorist furiously, it was actually a cunningly calculated move aimed at catching Lorist off guard by using a flaming hot brazier as a distraction. The man equipped with chain mail had also moved onto Lorist's back and prepared to carry out a pincer attack with the brown-haired man. So you think that by yelling, you can draw my attention to you and I won't see the man behind me?

As the red-hot charcoal flew towards him, Lorist saw a 30 centimeter long blade light emerge from the sword behind him. That plain-looking man was actually a peak Silver-ranked fighter. With a burning and charcoal brazier and a brunette man on one side and a silver chain mail-wearing man on the other, Lorist looked like he had a sealed escape route and had no choice but to face the full brunt of the active army chief. The two assailants showed a sly smile when they thought that Lorist would definitely lose them if he dared to take a direct hit. After all, they had even managed to kill Gold-ranked warriors with their previous plots and tricks.

However, Lorist slumped down abruptly and stuck close to the floor as he moved out of the attack range of the two people before standing up again nearly 2 meters away. Now that he was no longer between the two of them, their attacks were on each other, many were in disbelief. The brown-haired man desperately withdrew his arm, but it had disrupted his circulating Battle Force and the counterattack caused him to breathe heavily as a result.

On the other hand, the man with the chain of letters managed to cut the brazier apart, but he was unable to bend each and every piece of charcoal, either, some of them landed on his face and hissing sounds could be heard accompanied by the smell of burning flesh floating in the air. After being doused in hot water right in the face, the man threw his sword and clawed at the places where the charcoal landed while taking out a terrible screech.

A flash of light reflected from his blade could be seen inside the tent when Lorist suddenly crept onto the Gold-ranked fighter and stood upright. Thinking that the shadow of the brown-haired man had suddenly come to life again, the Silver-ranked man who had jumped a moment ago pointed his finger at the Gold-ranked back wordlessly with his mouth agape. Still recovering from the backlash he received from suddenly pulling back his Battle Troops, the, the brown-haired man could only jump behind the middle-aged man in the hope that he would be able to buy himself some time to regain his composure. However, his movements could not match Lorist's sword speed.

Three sword swings flashed and both arms of the brown-haired man fell to the ground with one more leg parting from his body. With a thud, the man landed flat on the ground and could still roll behind the man with the chain of letters as he wished. But when she saw her missing limbs, she started crying out in uncontrollable pain.

The middle-aged man stuttered, "The 17th century ... 17th …"

However, the brown-haired man had long lost consciousness of all the blood that had been lost. The middle-aged man once again picked up his sword and the sword light quickly materialized. Under the impression that the middle-aged man was about to fight to the death, Lorist watched him swing his sword twice before he dashed out of the tent immediately.

Sol, do you think you can escape? Lorist followed the man out of the tent quickly, only to find the middle-aged man swinging his weapon at him quickly with a loud growl.

Lorist whimpered lightly. He often experienced such desperate attempts when he fought with all the competitors in Dawn Academy. However, now that he didn't need to hold back unlike the days when he dueled, he raised his sword, he raised his sword, aim it carefully and move into the rain of sword attacks like an agile fish swimming quickly in a pond filled with blades …

"Ugh ..." The sword stabbed the man in his left chest as he voiced his pain and slumped to the ground with both of his eyes wide open in disbelief.

Lorist only used one sword attack. Without fending off the middle-aged man's attack, he pushed towards the opening in the midst of the sword storm and killed the man with just a single move while retaining only a few light scratches on his shoulder.

When he took out his sword and was about to head to the larger tent, Lorist detected the sound of people breathing from the previous tent. Turning around and re-entering the place, he pushed the curtain beside the bed and saw two naked young girls curled up together, shivering in fear. Traces of tear stains could be seen on their faces with many bruises all over their bodies as a result of the abuse they received.

Lorist sighed and removed the curtains as well as searched through the clothes of the girls in the tent, but he was unable to find them. He had no choice but to get two sets of clean men's robes and throw them into the curtains before going to the larger tent.

After coming out, he saw that a battle was going on: it seemed that Yuriy, Reidy and Patt had led the reconnaissance cavalry into the camp after seeing Lorist rushing in recklessly without regard for his own safety. However, they only met 70 soldiers who did not even wear armor properly, some even came out half-naked or barefoot. Facing the funny sight, Yuriy and the gang begin to slaughter happily. The reconnaissance cavalry were the same as Lorist as they used their javelins to take down nearby enemies while choosing automatic arrows to shoot the distant ones. Before Lorist left the tent, they had already managed to take control of the entire camp.

Seeing Lorist emerge from the tent, Yuriy quickly rode. Getting off his horse, he said, “It seems like the main force of this camp only left a few of them to guard the place. ”

Lorist said, "Begging your men to let some people live so that we can question them later. ”

Yuriy passed the order to the nearby scouts and the scouts nodded before leaving again.

At that moment, Reidy and Patt could be seen approaching. “Master, 400 people were detained in the middle of the camp. Also, we have found a large amount of food and other supplies on the back as well. ”

"Oh," Lorist murmured as he looked towards Yuriy. “It appears that camp is not ad hoc, but a long-term outpost. Yuriy, send some people to follow Patt back and tell Charade to bring the convoy here. We'll stay here tonight. Patt, make sure you stay safe. ”

"Alright," Patt said as he left the camp with three other light cavalry troops.

“Reidy, release the prisoners and have them stay together in the area. Make them food too. We'll handle other things once Charade gets here. Yuriy, have the light cavalry sweep the camp once more in case any soldiers manage to escape our clutches. Make sure you secure food as well in case anyone wants to burn it. ”

"Yes" said Reidy and Yuriy.

Walking back and forth around the large tent, Lorist waited patiently for the rest of the convoy to arrive. Several light cavalry troops could be seen searching for tents one by one. Just as Lorist was planning on asking someone to clean up the corpses in the large tent, he saw glowing incandescent blades from inside the tent in the distance followed by two light cavalry warriors flying out of the tent with blood coming out of their noses and another one falling on the ground outside tent with head cut off. Tears opened in one part of the tent as silhouettes appeared and mounted the cavalry troop horse and escaped from the camp gate.

Sol, so there is still one Silver rank hiding there, Lorist thought, before he rode a horse nearby and started his chase.
