CHAPTER 19 THE ALLEGED KING DARIAN CASHEL WAS POISONED
The night had not so long enveloped the world with a blanket of darkness. The residents of Kotaraja have not all slept in sleep. Even though tonight the air is quite cold shivering fur.
At the residence of General Felix, General Felix and Dhafin appear to be talking in the back garden, their favorite place if only talking together.
It's almost night General Felix just got home from the palace. And after the new dinner he invited Dhafin to talk in this back garden.
In addition to fulfilling Dhafin's request that last afternoon say if there is something important that the boy wants to talk about, General Felix also brought quite interesting news from the palace.
He reported that many officials were talking about Dhafin. Be it officials who sympathize with Dhafin, including King Darian Cashel and Reverend Noman, as well as those who despise Dhafin and his presence in this city.

"...You have defeated the champion of the Noble Child Martial Tournament that was only held last year" General Felix said with a smile.
His tone was like feeling proud of it, as where the parents are proud of his child's achievements.
Although Dhafin has not stated that he is his adoptive father, General Felix already considers Dhafin to be his adopted son. So which parents do not feel proud of what is in Dhafin?
"Why is such a thing considered horrendous news?" dhafin clearly did not feel interested. After that in her warm tea shredder once. After putting down her teacup, she took out one piece of her favorite pastry.
"Obviously it's one of those horrendous news," said General Felix, "because he belongs to the top 10 greatest noble boys in the city, and the greatest is him...."
"...But you beat him like it was so easy" he continued. "How could it not be said to be horrendous news?"
"I don't really want that to happen, Uncle," Dhafin said as General Felix sipped his coffee. "I was forced to serve the poor prince because he had insulted me too much...."
"...Besides, it looks like His Majesty let me beat up his son, instead of me teaching him experience."
"That means you are a real man" General Felix said excitedly as he held his two thumbs up before Dhafin. "Because a real man is not insulted by his pride...."
Dhafin did not respond too much to General Felix's remarks. For him a true man is one who does not betray himself, nor does he betray others.
Just his pride insulted others, for him it is not a matter. Most importantly, he controlled his anger as much as possible for the comfort of others.

"Eh, wait a minute" General Felix said as he recalled something to Dhafin's words. "Why do you call Prince Adrian a poor prince? Though he is a haughty prince who likes to insult and demean people."
"Isn't such a bad habit worth pitying?"
"I don't understand what you mean?" general Felix said as he furrowed his brows.
"I imagine how many people hate him because of his bad habits continue to pray to him, even curse him...."
"...Compare with the one who can be patient about his bad character, and want to pray for goodness to him.... Is it the same number?"
"I'm sure wherever the poor prince went, there must have been some who hated him and prayed bad things for him. Doesn't that person seem really pathetic?"
General Felix was stunned for a moment to think about Dhafin's words. It is undeniable that many people hate Prince Adrian. He who as the Crown Prince, but has shown bad character since childhood. I don't know what this kingdom will be if it is led?
"Here we do not have to think about the haughty prince" said General Felix did not want to linger discussing Prince Adrian. "Last afternoon you said there was something you wanted to talk to me about. About what?"
"Is uncle among the people familiar with His Majesty?" tanya Dhafin began his intention of inviting General Felix to speak.
"Yaaah" said General Felix. "Because it is not uncommon for His Majesty to call me out of business."
"Uncle knows anyone who is familiar with him other than uncle?"
"His Majesty's close friend is not much" General Felix said. "Other than in the last five years. But the only people who met him more than Reverend Noman and General Myles were two. Me and the Royal Military Officer."
"...What is it you ask that?"
"Do many know that Your Majesty is sick?" dhafin asked again.
Of course General Felix was surprised not to hear Dhafin's question just now. Not many people know that King Darian Cashel is sick. But why would this kid know that King Darian is sick?
Dhafin lives in this city there have not been ten days. And he never told her either. His wife couldn't possibly tell because she didn't know either. But....
"Where do you know that His Majesty is sick?" general Felix could not help his surprise.
"Did you forget that I'm a Little Physician?"
"Not so," General Felix rectified Dhafin's allegations. "Then' without checking you can tell that Your Majesty is sick."
"I checked it out this afternoon when we saluted His Majesty."
"Yes, right," Dhafin said as he nodded.
This child every day always brings up something amazing and surprising. Actually he had expected Dhafin to want to meet him would definitely talk about something important. But now he was still surprised even though he had been told.
"Uncle suspects Your Majesty is sick?" dhafin asked after a long time General Felix was silent.
"I was only told by Reverend Noman that His Majesty often had a fever."
"I guessed it."
"You mean?" General Felix looked confused.
"His Majesty's pain was caused by exposure to poison."
General Felix was surprised again. Reverend Noman only told him that His Majesty often has a fever. But why would this child say that His Majesty was hit by a racum? How magical! Just by looking at it Dhafin already knew that King Darian was exposed to poison.
"His fever is due to the effects of the poison that works" Dhafin said as if tofu in General Felix's mind.
"Do you know what poison is lodged in His Majesty's body?" general Felix asked inquire.
"At this time my examination is only conjectural but strong enough," said Dhafin admitted. "I need to check the condition of his eyes, lips, and skin condition. Like the numbers 1 to 10, I've collected 5 numbers to suspect His Majesty was exposed to what poison."
"If your conjecture is correct, then what poison has His Majesty been exposed to?"
"One in between two" Dhafin said after sipping his tea. "'Red Ice Poison' or 'Frozen Corpse Poison'."
"The names of the poison are strange," muttered General Felix feeling alien to the two names of the poison.
"Originally uncle knows" Dhafin said after smiling at General Felix's words in the world of poison, "among poison masters, the more dangerous the poison they make the more bizarre and unique they name it."
"Hahaha.., in this world is indeed inhabited by many strange people," said the General while laughing quite loosely, like feeling funny. "Include you."
"Why did my uncle say I was a freak?" dhafin asked with a smile, but was not surprised by General Felix's words.
"Your age is only eleven years old but you have a lot of knowledge, like you are decades old who have a lot of experience. And just as old as you are you already know various kinds of poison. Aren't you a strange person?"
Dhafin just smiled to hear General Felix's words in admiration. But he was reluctant to go further on what impressed General Felix.

"Uncle Felix! Are you sure that Reverend Noman only knew Your Majesty had a fever?" dhafin asked like a probing.
"At first I believed Pastor Noman said so" General Felix said. "But after hearing your explanation just now, I think Reverend Noman knew that His Majesty was sick from the poison with the knowledge that was on him."
"I suspect so, Uncle, too," Dhafin said in his opinion, "Master Noman must have known that His Majesty had been poisoned. But I can't confirm that Reverend Noman suspected that His Majesty was exposed to which poison."
"Can you cure His Majesty?" general Felix asked expectantly.
"If it is true that His Majesty was exposed to one of those poisons, with the permission of the Sky Ruler I can," Dhafin said feeling confident.
Dhafin once healed a person who was exposed to 'Red Ice Poison', namely Princess Lavina Aneska. But Dhafin did not want to tell General Felix if not asked. (can be seen in CHAPTER 3 and CHAPTER 4)
"Staying now governs how to meet with His Majesty," Dhafin said next.
"Maybe we'll meet Pastor Noman, Dhafin, first" General Felix suggested. "Let him take you to see Your Majesty."
"Uncle set it up, I follow," said Dhafin manut. "Originally not too obvious by the officials of the palace or who are not happy with His Majesty."
"Why do you say that?" search General Felix.
"I suspect His Majesty was poisoned."
"Why do you suppose that?"
"The person who was exposed to the two poisons was not caused by a fight" Dhafin explained his conjecture. "The victim was exposed to both poisons by eating them or drinking them. Either mixed into food or into the victim's drink...."
"...now I ask uncle," he continued, "will His Majesty deliberately drink one of those poisons?"
"Yes, your conjecture is correct, Your Majesty was deliberately poisoned. That means there's treason in the palace."
"A leader of a kingdom who deliberately wants to be killed, especially if not treason," Dhafin said in line with General Felix's allegations. "And uncle knew better what was really going on in the palace environment. More broadly, what exactly happened in this Amerta Kingdom?"
General Felix was silent thinking about Dhafin's words which were full of implied meaning. What exactly happened in the Amerta Kingdom? Is there a plan to overthrow King Darian Cashel? General Felix can't be sure.
It's just that in the hands of General Felix there are already records of some officials who are suspected as traitors to the kingdom. Examples such as City Officials and the executed Head of Security of Pendar City.
A tramp is better and nobler than a traitor! Dhafin's words sometimes rang in General Felix's mind.
