The Lost Prince

The Lost Prince
CHAPTER 04. Handover

The sun came back up, Louis had been awake since 10 minutes ago due to the noise that was outside the house. His body has now improved after 5 months of being treated by a husband and wife who found him. Louis was truly grateful to them.

"Ah, apparently you're awake. How are you doing this time?" ask the old man who suddenly came while carrying a tray of warm water for him. A wide smile was clearly painted on the handsome face of the boy.

"It's getting better, I think" Louis replied in a happy-sounding tone. Louis' wide smile was reciprocated by the man. His hands stretched out to rub the tops of the heads of the last 5 men he treated with affection. They were not ready to let go of the boy, but this was the best thing for Louis.

"Wake up, then clean your body. After that I will drive to the kingdom to see the king" his order was immediately answered by a nod from Louis's head.

So far the man has never made a husband and wife object to his existence, instead sometimes he helps clean the house, cook, accompany them to sell. Louis did it with pleasure, he was happy because God gave this kind of trial to him. Believe me, living a luxurious life but lack of affection is not fun, even it is very boring.

Louis was happy, but on the other hand he was also sad to leave the harmonious family that had been looking after him. He was already comfortable, but he also had to return for the sake of his sister. Explain the chronologies of how his sister just disappeared from him.

Louis took a shower not so long, just a pretty 10-minute finish. His handsome aura was getting out of him. Without a doubt Louis walked into the dining room for breakfast together. At least he ate one piece of bread so as not to make his stomach hurt.

"Good morning, Louis" said the woman who was preparing a side dish to eat together. Louis smiled happily, then slightly bowed his body in honor of the woman. Louis did not really like to play the throne, although in reality he had to be like that. Either way the name of the adult must remain respected, whether he is an ordinary citizen, a prince or whoever it is.

"Have you improved?"

"Surely! Thank you for all the love you give. I don't know, maybe if it wasn't for you guys, I'd be dead on the farm just because of a bear" Louis said truly from the bottom of his heart. I don't know how many times the man thanked them.

"Thank God if so. Let's have breakfast first" The man sat in the chair that was prepared. The woman sat in front of him, while her husband sat next to his wife. The breakfast menu this time is just sandwiches, even if only sandwiches but it tastes very delicious. Louis loved it when the woman made the sandwich. He also knew that Louis loved his sandwich.

"I will definitely miss the mother-made sandwich" Louis said. During this time Louis called the woman as mother, while the man who became the husband of his mother he called father.

Her mother could only show her sweet smile without answering a word from Louis' words. It feels so painful to remember in a moment that he will part with his only adopted child.

...****************...

"King, there is someone who wants to meet" said a royal guard Liondardo. Quickly, the master nodded, allowing someone who wanted to meet him to enter.

Louis and his adoptive parents set foot to enter the throne area of the king of Liondardo. Their heads lowered, hesitating slightly to look at the king. The situation of the room was immediately silent, still no one dared to speak, until finally the king of Liondardo who started first.

"And who is that boy?" Liondardo connected his question. Louis raised his head, slightly stealing a glance at the king of Liondardo whose age looks already 50 years.

"I found this kid on my farm. I don't know where this kid came from. I would like to ask permission to return this child to her parents who she said lived in another kingdom" her foster father explained. If he did not permit the king, his family could have been exhausted in the hands of the notoriously cruel king.

Liondardo raised his eyebrows. "What kingdom are you from, son?" The question was answered by Louis' arm, making the man sitting on his throne stupefied.

"Get the two of you out, let me talk to this child" Liondardo ordered Louis's adoptive parents to come out. The boy's body trembled in fear. He was very afraid of anything happening to him.

"Okay, king"

Liondardo left his throne, the man went down several steps to approach the boy who was now in front of him. The man smirked, looking at Louis with a sinister look.

"How old are you?"

"8 years" Louis could only reply in a soft tone and slightly quivering.

"How did you enter my kingdom? What are you here for?" The man asked in a firm tone and became a little taller than before. The frightened Louis was made even more terrified.

"ANSWER!" The violent clash managed to make Louis shocked half to death.

Louis finally tried to get his voice out again. "I'm Louis. I really don't know if I've entered another kingdom. I'm looking for my missing brother. I was attacked by a bear when I got to the farm of a couple. My memory fades, I just remember, I'm not living in this kingdom. I want to go home" he said with his stammering tone, and slightly trembling.

The man laughed loudly at Louis's reply. "I know who you are, but I don't want to give you back to your family" the emphasized remark made Louis distraught by the man's intentions. How does he know where he comes from? How-to?

"Please put this child in jail" Louis widened his eyes. Nah! This is not what he wanted. Anyone help him now! He wanted to find his sister, not to be treated like this.

"Master! What about my sister?! I want to meet him! Help!!" Louis rebelled violently. His still-child strength and his skill in martial arts made him manage to run away just like that. He would go back through the forest without his adoptive parents knowing that he had left them.

Louis ran agilely, Some bodyguards ran after him. Although only a child, but Louis managed to run further than the guards were. Eventually, the man entered the forest again. Without fear he followed his instincts again
