The Love of the Racer
I'm sorry I'm selfish

"Dok, what other alternatives must be lived so that my son can recover completely and return to his life as usual?" Jeffrey asked a question full of great hope. Although the look almost never express itself, but trust the heart of the father who is not hurt if his son is unfortunate.

By her side, Jenny was seen relentlessly venting her will on the chest of her husband's arms. Hands several times wipe the tears that continue to wet the cheeks. Indeed, as a mother sees the fragility of the son like giving up the blasphemy of a knife that tears the recesses of the heart.

"Look, Mr. Jeffrey. Staidum 4 brain cancer is very small. In the medical world, cancer cannot be said to be cured. The term used is remission or relapse,” explained the doctor.

The term remission or relapse is pinned on cancer patients who have done therapy, and have been evaluated, that the patient does not contain cancer cells anymore in his body. During the remission, the patient must remain in control regularly and keep his body healthy.

"I beg you, Doc. Please give my best to my son. He's too young. There's a lot of hope he has to achieve." Jenny pleaded while sobbing.

"Patients have had craniotomy surgery. We will monitor the patient's condition and administer medications to reduce the risk of complications. We will also conduct an examination of the patient's nervous system and brain to ensure that the organ can function properly post-surgery." The doctor paused his explanation. For a moment, observed a couple who were moping with pity and then continued to speak.

"Behind our efforts, cut off a hope of the miraculous touch of God's hand. And even if the miracle turns out not to be on the side for now, believe that God does not just withdraw his affection, just like that" said the doctor named Thomas.

The hose not long the door of the doctor's consultation room opened. Jeffrey and Jenny's step was immediately greeted by Jeaven who had been waiting there.

Jeffrey seemed to sigh bitterly when he saw Jeaven's mimic asking for clarity. "The estimated phase of his life is only average for cancer patients. This means that Jennis's chance of life depends largely on his endurance and how malignant or numerous cancer cells are formed."

"Is the medical party playing tricks on us? What's the point of a craniotomy operation then?" The tone of speech slightly increased. He's very disappointed.

The cold-looking man immediately twisted his legs, leaving both his parents with a sense of unease in the heart. Really, a Jeaven is in a mess right now.

So many invisible blows that scored bruises on the walls of his chest cavity. Without anyone knowing that he was holding back the mess of various flavors.

"How are you doing?" Jeaven immediately asked after occupying the bench next to the hospital bed.

As if the bad news that hit him a few days ago was unable to shed a smile on Jennis' lips. Although despair has been contained in the heart. Because death awaits. "You are not creative. Your question is too far-fetched" Jennis joked.

Apparently Jennis's joke did not change Jeaven's expression. Both corners of his lips also seemed reluctant to be interested in printing a smile. "I seriously asked. If anything makes you uncomfortable, I'll call a doctor."

Jennis's cheerful hue slowly faded exchanging bitter smiles. "May I ask?"

"What?"

"What happened between you and Jesslyn? I found her crying in the rain near the Thames." Jennis brought my eyes ready to look at the expression of her sister. But again, he had trouble judging. A Jeaven is not easy to read.

"As usual. I went back to hurting her by rejecting her feelings." Jeaven used only a small amount of evidence to cover the subject.

"You keep making her cry" Jennis protested.

"I can't take it."

"Because you're not in love?"

"You know, right?"

Jennis retracted his gaze and stared straight at the ceiling of the room. The mind glares with a pushy feeling.

"I'm serious about what I said before I fainted. I want to be a part of Jesslyn's life. But is it possible, while he still loves you so much?" Jennis looked back at her sister. This time his eyes were more serious. "Are you able to make Jesslyn completely forget about you, but without hurting her again? Before I die I want to make myself a person of value to him."

Jennis immediately severed his eye link with Jeaven. Honestly, he was quite embarrassed to say things that adequately describe a form of selfishness.

"I'll try, but I can't promise not to hurt her again."

"I told you not to hurt him. I'll fucking beat you up!"

"Everybody's gonna die, right? Only the way and the time are different."

"Rest, to recover soon," said Jeaven.

"alright. You come out, I'm going to sleep." Jennis began to take the most comfortable sleeping position and closed his eyes.

Not long after, his ears heard Jeaven's footsteps drifting away, and the door closed. At that moment his eyes opened again.

"I'm sorry for being selfish. Being blind and deaf to what I know."

The foot-level swing that runs down the hospital hallway now stops in front of the door of the treatment room. The outstretched hand approached the door handle, but it seemed to pause for a moment as if dispelled by the glee of the heart. However, the man who was none other than Jeaven quickly reaped the steadiness of his decision.

"Jeaven" called a patient weak after seeing the idol come to visit him.

Jeaven observed the appearance of the pale-looking woman with a chemo hat covering her head that was barely mane-dyed. I can't help but feel pity running in my heart. Given the weak figure before him there were no close relatives who could accompany him at a time like this.

"Have you taken your medicine?" Ask Jeaven at the end.

The woman, Verlin, as much as possible expressed a smile on her pale lips. "It has. How's Jennis doing?"

"Focus on your own health.

"You just have to answer, is it hard?"

"Why haven't you told me that you've been sick all this time?" Sesal Jeaven's. If he knew if his personal manager had been suffering from cervical cancer, he would have given more time to rest.

"I don't want to look pathetic in front of you. In the end, something I didn't want really happened. Right now you must be pitying me, right?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"I guessed it."

A moment of silence circled the atmosphere until Jeaven finally made a sound. "I've made up my mind" he said, making Verlin link a questionable line in advance.

"What decision?"

"Fulfilling your request yesterday."

Verlin suddenly put on an incredulous face. "You're serious?" He was reassured and the nod of Jeaven was immediately accepted.

"You must have pityed me so much, huh? To realize my last wish?"

"That's one of my reasons."

"It's okay. Even so I'm already very happy." Verlin tried to smile even though the other inner voice was whispering.

Ii'm sorry. In the end I became the selfish party between you and Jesslyn.
