Nathan stood against the wall. A worried look was clearly visible on the man's face. Many times he rubbed his face harshly. Rendra who accompanied him was just sitting in the waiting chair, the man was as worried as Nathan.

After almost an hour passed, the door finally opened. Nathan and Rendra immediately approached the doctor who came out of the room.

"How's my wife doing, Doc?" nathan asked impatiently.

"He got five stitches, lucky you guys got him in time" the doctor replied. Nathan and Rendra both breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank God" Nathan and Rendra said at the same time. Nathan immediately walks into the room after the doctor and nurse say goodbye, while Rendra waits outside to take turns.

Nathan looked at his sleeping wife in a slanted position. Nadira's pale face looked so shady. He walked over, then kissed his wife's forehead for a very long time.

"I love you, Nad." Nathan rubbed his wife's face very gently. And then I landed a lot of kisses there. Nadira seemed undisturbed, still busy sleeping in his sleep.

"You shouldn't help me and let me get stabbed. I'm sick to see you get hurt like this" Nathan said. Both of his eyes began to get wet. He again landed a lot of kisses on his wife's face.

Nathan reached into his pants pocket when he felt his phone vibrate. He immediately raised the call when he saw Jasmin's name on the screen.

"Hallo, Jas." Nathan spoke half a whisper as he walked out of the room. "Well, I'm going there now." Nathan returned to his cell phone when the call was cut off.

"Ndra, I'm asking you to take care of Nadira." Nathan put his phone back in his pocket.

"Where are you going?" ask Rendra full of questions.

"I was told to go back to the mansion. I promise it won't be long. I want to take a shower" Nathan said.

"alright. Be careful on the road." Rendra hands Nathan the car keys. After Nathan was no longer seen, he immediately walked into the room to accompany Nadira.

Rendra sat beside Nadira, staring fixedly at the beautiful face of the girl who was able to steal his heart. However, Rendra's heart felt melos when he remembered how Nathan and Nadira loved each other. Even Nadira was willing to get hurt for Nathan even though the man had already hurt the girl.

"Looks like I should learn to let you go, El." Rendra let out a long sigh, to slightly lighten the burden that felt squeezing his chest.

"Mas" call Nadira.

"You're sober, El?" Rendra sparkled happily. Nadira nodded weakly, his eyeballs observing the surroundings.

"Who are you, my friend?" nadira asked weakly.

"So Nathan, but he came home after getting a call from Jasmin" said Rendra.

Nadira exhaled a rough breath as his heart again felt pain. Maybe it was time he really gave up fighting for his feelings. Rendra clasped Nadira's hand as the look on the girl's face looked so sad.

"El, it looks like you've misunderstood Nathan and Jasmin." Nadira stared fixedly at Rendra's eyes, as if asking for an explanation.

"Actually, Jasmin and Nathan are trying to protect you from those who want to harm you. Jasmin was told by Mr. Dharma to be close to Nathan, so that your relationship with Nathan is not known to them, because they know that you are the weakness of Nathan and the Alexander family" explained Rendra, but Nadira did not fully believe the man's words.

"Mas, I can't believe it. Never make excuses that you yourself don't know the truth, Mas." Nadira's voice sounded so weak.

"That's the truth, El. Jasmin doesn't like Nathan. He said it himself during Nathan's inauguration in Bandung at the time." Rendra was still trying to explain.

"Mas, if they were pretending, why would Nathan's sister be more willing to help Jasmin when we're out of the pool when Jasmin is obviously pushing me" Nadira said. The girl's eyes looked wet as she recalled the incident in the pond that had hurt her heart so much.

"El, Jasmin wasn't pushing you accidentally. He did it because someone from a distance was about to shoot you. He only protects you even though he can't swim."

Nadira was silent, he tried to digest all that speech after speech that came out of Rendra's lips. Could it be that everything Rendra said was true? That Nathan and Jasmin were just trying to protect themselves.

When Nadira was still busy with his thoughts, suddenly the door of the room opened and someone entered in a hasty step.

"Nadira."
