Throw away the ego

Half an hour driving the car, Elizabeth several times looked at the rearview mirror to find out whether Nathan would catch up with her or not. But until now he had not seen the man's nose.

"Which is he really not following me?! You shitty guy!" Elizabeth clucked resentfully knowing Nathan had no intention of catching up and persuaded herself.

Elizabeth thought that Nathan would do something like other men persuading the woman they like and apologized for not leaving without saying a word and making the relationship even more complicated.

Had Elizabeth and Nathan lived in a fantasy world, maybe their relationship progress would have gone smoothly without having to face the complicated problems that they are today.

Real life once again makes their relationship runnyam. But Elizabeth certainly didn't want to give up and feel the tightness inside her chest for life for failing to convey her feelings to Nathan.

Elizabeth immediately slammed the steering wheel and decided to return to where Nathan was now. Even the beautiful woman did not care about having to hit the increasingly heavy snowstorm.

Recalling when he saw Nathan's expression while denying his feelings to himself. Elizabeth realizes that the man still does not dare to open up again after accepting the harsh reality of being framed by his former lover first.

"That damn woman! Because of him now I have to go forward!" Elizabeth clucked resentfully and uttered a curse to the figure of Roxy who had made him have to eliminate the ego as a classy woman and express feelings to a man.

Elizabeth did not think how Nathan could like a flat-chested woman and have a subpar look like Roxy. Even foolishly Nathan trusted the cheap woman who had been playing with the other man behind her for several months.

Arriving at the lighthouse where Nathan is now. Elizabeth went straight inside and rushed to find the man to straighten things out until the relationship between them did not become convoluted again.

Elizabeth is sick of waiting for Nathan who still doesn't dare to open up to women anymore. Now he must ignore the ego that he has been holding dear to save his feelings.

Elizabeth's gaze was immediately locked onto Nathan sitting on the sofa. The beautiful woman again clucked resentfully knowing the man acted as if he was ignoring her when in fact he cared so much.

"Hey! What's..." Elizabeth had not yet finished her words. He was stunned when he saw Nathan sleeping soundly in a sitting position while holding a silver pendant.

Nathan's facial expression while asleep shows that he really feels tired both physically and mentally. For the past few days the man has still blamed himself for bringing havoc to Anthony's family after his arrival.

Curious to see the silver pendant in Nathan's hand. Elizabeth decided to borrow and pay attention to the silver pendant which seemed very valuable to the man.

Elizabeth frowned when she found a photo inside the locket. There he saw an adult woman taking pictures with a boy who looked about 7 years old.

When you look at the picture of a child in the photo. Elizabeth knew it was Nathan she knew. "I've never seen that man laugh like this..."

A picture of Nathan as a child makes a significant difference. The man used to look very happy than he is now who looks gloomy and rarely smiles again.

There are things that make Elizabeth wonder when looking at a photo of Nathan and his mother. He does not find Nathan's father at all, and sees a scratch that shows if the man deliberately tore the part of the photo that shows his own father.

Elizabeth soon realizes that Nathan has a deep hatred for his own father. Actually he also hated his parents who signed him to a marriage since he was very young.

But whatever Elizabeth hated her parents. He couldn't possibly tear up a photo with them like Nathan did to his own father as if he didn't admit it.

Elizabeth let out a long sigh as she recalled Nathan asking her to take a leave of absence and return to England to see her parents at least once since 10 years of never meeting.

It is still fresh in Elizabeth's memory when Nathan advised her while accompanying the man to work in the laboratory room. "If you don't like the engagement, it's better to talk about it directly with your parents. How long will you stay awake? I'm sure they miss you and will definitely listen to all your complaints."

But unfortunately after Nathan gave advice. Elizabeth was angry and berated Nathan who seemed to understand his feelings when they had just known not long ago.

Since then they began to be far apart until three days before Nathan finally apologized to Elizabeth for meddling too much in his personal affairs. When Nathan apologized, Elizabeth spoke again, but not too much, and began to help the man get back to work.

If you remember the incident again Elizabeth felt ashamed. Now he realized the reason why Nathan had always been so cold and seemingly indifferent to himself, for not wanting others to know how broken the inside of the man was after facing a lot of injustice in this world.

Nathan's cold and impressed attitude as if he did not care about the surrounding conditions, as if telling everyone if he could live alone and did not want to trust others.

"When your problems are heavier than mine, but why do you always worry about me. How can I dispose of this feeling if you're always paying attention to me?" Elizabeth murmured while watching Nathan fall asleep.

Elizabeth then sat down and slowly put Nathan to sleep on his thighs to keep him from waking up. Elizabeth gently rubbed Nathan's hair while watching his tired face.

Now Elizabeth has found the figure of the man she's been looking for. The man who always watched her in silence, made her smile and laugh freely, not even demanding something that could make her feel uncomfortable.

With all this Elizabeth would certainly not let Nathan sink deeper into the darkness. He wanted to give Nathan the same attention and make the man believe that he was not like other people who betrayed trust.
