Chapter 18 Apple Knox

"It's the bread" Knox said, and Apple turned to Knox.

He thought Knox was waiting for him in the car.

The children took the bread from Knox.

"Thank you," they said, smiling.

"Sister went straight home. Bye," said Apple and waved his hand at the children.

The children waved their hands and entered the house with a crisp laugh.

"Come on" Apple told Knox.

"What is this place? An orphanage?" ask Knox.

"No, just the daycare of street children" Apple replied walking toward Knox's car.

Knox saw Apple walking alone to his car.

Apple got into the car and Knox caught up with him.

"You come here often?" ask Knox.

Apple just nodded.

"You financed them?" ask Knox while turning on the engine.

"No, just a little help for them. Give them a donation. That's my purpose in bringing you here. The owner of this house is self-financing all the children who live there," Apple said to the point.

Knox smiled at that.

"Thank you" replied Knox.

"It's okay," said Apple.

"All your ex-girlfriends you brought here?" ask Knox.

"No, because it's near my apartment" replied Apple.

Just minutes later, Apple and Knox arrived at Apple's apartment.

"Bye. Thank you for today. Prepare yourself tomorrow again" said Apple smiling sweetly.

"Bye" said Knox, who also smiled.

Apple walked into the apartment lobby and Knox saw Apple's interactions with some of the people there that he seemed familiar with.

They all seemed to smile at Apple and some even hugged it like they knew Apple very well.

Knox's smile. He's seen a little bit of the other side of Apple he just found out about today.

After making sure Apple got into the elevator, Knox left.

Apple went up to the floor of his apartment. He saw Leah getting busy with her work.

"You're always busy, Lea. Do you have to move to work? I can help you work at Knox's company" Apple said, putting her bag on the couch and sitting there.

"Knox's? Is that your new boyfriend?" ask Lea.

Apple nodded and undressed him on the sofa.

"So he came here this morning and gave me something. I put it in your room" Lea said.

"Thank you's. It was a gift from his mother. Her mother likes me a lot. Whaddya think? Do I need to seduce her so I can be the son-in-law of the conglomerate?" ask Apple who then walks towards the kitchen.

"Apple, can you change that habit of yours? You always walk to and fro without your shirt, ck," said Lea who saw Apple only use clothes in the room.

Apple laughed softly.

"I like it like this because it's like there's no burden on my body. Anyway I'm lazy to change," replied Apple casually and picked up a drink in the fridge.

"He's my boss at the company. And it's going to take advantage of him because he seems eager to conquer me" continued Apple.

"He's a good guy like him. Watch out for falling in love with him because he's also very handsome," Lea said.

"Oooh, come on ... Nope. I would rather be loved than loved. I don't want to be a slave to love because it makes people stupid. He's a playboy, Lea. That's why I'll deal with it easier" replied Apple.

"You're also a playgirl, Apple. You guys are the same and we'll see who's going to get on their knees first. Don't underestimate the charm" Lea said.

"We'll see," said Apple smiling obliquely.
