According to local folklore, this creature walks on two legs like a human and can run very fast.


They have a wide and short nose, a wide face with a large mouth, protruding ears, and a body filled with fur.


In addition to often whispering in their own language, local residents also told that Ebu Gogo could repeat what they said.


The name “ebu” in Flores means grandmother, while “gogo” means all-eater.

Lembuswana is a mythological animal known since the time of the Kingdom of Kutai, even used as a symbol of the Kingdom of Kutai until it turned into the Sultanate of Kutai Kartanegara after the entry of Islamic influence into the archipelago.

Now Lembuswana became a symbol of Tenggarong city, Kutai Kartanegara.
