THE PENANCE 2: THE PREGNANT
TP2 - 27

In the car, Haikal rubbed his hair rough. "Why am I lost like this?! I already know my way around here, but why am I back at the sewer."

Suddenly a female voice came from inside her car, precisely from the back seat. "Are you after throwing my body into the sea feeling relieved?"

Haikal jumped and then looked back. Arinda looked at him. The woman looked as beautiful as she first met at meet and greet Dio.

"Arinda," murmured Haikal.

** Flashback **

Haikal thrust a thick envelope of money into the table. "I apologize for what Dio did to you. I just found out he's been impregnating you. Maybe that's why he went to Bali to calm his mind. I hope you move out of this place. If you don't move, he'll come back to see you."

Arinda, 5 months pregnant, stared at the envelope in front of her. "I've never received a penny from Dio. You're who?"

"I'm manager. As you know, Dio is a pretty successful actor this year. I don't want your relationship to be a scandal later. The company's good name and Dio's career are coming to an end. You must understand what I mean, right?" Haikal.

Arinda smiled as she rubbed her stomach. "I see what you mean, Mr. Manager, but Dio will come back and marry me. I'm carrying her child."

Haikal breathed a heavy sigh. "Dio's not that good, Arinda. You don't get it. I don't want you to be Dio's next victim."

Arinda. "You mean?"

Haikal breathed a heavy sigh. "I can't say any further because it will only hurt your feelings."

Arinda looked sad.

"I'm leaving." Haikal has passed.

When Dio returned after a holiday in Bali, Haikal warned him. "Stop coming to the girl. You have to leave it or your career will be ruined."

"I can handle it" said Dio then passed.

** end Flashback **

"At first I thought that you were a good person, who could help me. Turns out you're on Dio's side" said Arinda.

Haikal felt guilty. "I warned you before you died, but you didn't hear me."

"Before it's too late, tell the police that Dio is a murderer and you're involved with covering up his crimes" Arinda threatened. "If you don't want to do it, I'll make you half alive and half dead."

Haikal seemed to think. Suddenly he stepped on the gas and drove his car as fast as he could. Arinda turned scary.

"You made the wrong choice." Arinda's missing.

Suddenly a few barrels rolled towards his car. Both Haikal's eyes were wide. "Where did these things come from?"

Bruk, bruk!

The barrel hit his car. Haikal could not drive his car. He screamed for help. Unable to step on the gas, Haikal got out of the car and ran as fast as he could. Suddenly he fell mired into a foul-smelling hole, apparently he was in a sewer pit. Arinda pulls the cover, but someone calls her.

"Arinda, no!"

Arinda looked over, it turned out to be Nalesha. The girl shook both hands. Arinda knitted her brows.
