THE SOUL OF MAYRA

THE SOUL OF MAYRA
21 (Unrequested conversation)

"Look at me, Fara."

The bespectacled schoolgirl who is not Malay, the original westerner asked Fara to sit on the bench along the school hallway.

"Mahara ... I'm afraid you're in bad shape. What happened to you?"

Despite all the questions being ignored. The bespectacled student never gave up so that Fara responded. Feeling that the student beside her had no movement, Fara looked at her.

What's he looking at?

The student in glasses was reading the book he had just picked up. Two books of different thickness are now on the lap. Fara felt familiar with the book the student read beside her.

"What are you reading, F-friend?"

The eyes that had originally stared fixedly at the English word row now turned to Fara. He looked happy with the sentence Fara had just uttered.

"Are you serious?" The clear eyes behind those minus glasses sparkled. No matter what, Fara doesn't care.

"Seriously for what? Please speak clearly!" Fara was caught off guard by this situation, this conversation. He felt forced to talk to strangers even though it was his schoolmate.

"Okay." The student smiled. "Forget. Are you okay now?"

Fara nodded. Didn't intend to extend this crisp conversation with the student beside her. Not only has Fara's style changed, but also with her attitude.

"I am glad to hear it."

Fara standing. It's better to go from there. Honestly, Fara wanted to say nothing much. He just wanted to be calm without anyone. Including the students beside him. The student with glasses is what his name is. Fara has no intention of adding friends.

"You want to go?"

Again the glasses student asked, making Fara sigh long. He should not have been a student who knew him. She did not know the name or class of the student.

"I HOPE WE MEET AGAIN!!"

This time the scream was ignored. Let the attention of other students be caught. Fara did not ask. But they are the only ones who take the time to look to the CTF.

"Well, what's your nyamperin cup, Ra?"

Reynar again appeared. This one creature is indeed endless to unsettle others. In fact, it increases blood pressure. Fara who had just rested in her room with a book of teenlit genre novels on her lap, sighed.

"Remain here, Rey? Almost every day ngusilin come here!" said Fara. He is disturbed by Reynar.

"Absolutely, a great ketus." Reynar focused on something in his bag. "If I come here you're a nuisance, huh? Om Aunty's mad, ys? You feel the peace you're disturbed, huh?"

"YES!" No doubt Fara answered. The three letters were able to make Reynar dumbfounded. So, during this time the presence is only considered a mosquito. Which can only disturb people.

"Fines. I will not come here tomorrow. I'm going to go home to my own apartment. I'll be alone without my mom."

"Good!" Reynar was again confused. He sighed. I realized that his presence was very disturbing. It feels like flying straight to Indonesia. Now too!

Reynar got up from Fara's single sofa. Walk closer to the master of this room with a relaxed beach style.

"Before I go I have something for you." That sentence made Fara look at Reynar. He diverted for a moment his attention from the novel on the lap.

"THIS IS YOUR POLAROID PHOTO."

This time it was Fara who was dumbfounded. He finally got his Polaroid photo back. A photo he took with Mayra. It has significance to Fara.

"Thanks, Rey!"
