THE SOUL OF MAYRA
64 (He's different He's weird)

The laughter that had been released was now slowly receding and disappearing. Reynar's arrival makes Fara and Zikra look at him. As usual Mayra just looked down, after staring for a moment at Reynar.

"May, I'm here to tell you something."

Mayra nodded. "Tell me," he said.

Reynar glanced at Zikra and Fara. Like a gesture to give her time and Mayra talked together. However, it does not seem to be granting Reynar's cue. So, they both stayed by Mayra's side.

"Something what?"

Mayra charges what Reynar wants to say. They are now outside the school gates. Mayra and Fara are waiting for an invitation. Meanwhile, Zikra accompanied his two underclassmen until the invitation arrived.

"Why didn't you come to the mosque yesterday?" ask Reynar.

"I'm sorry, yesterday I had a hitch. Now what do you want to say?" reply Mayra.

Reynar seemed to be exhaling violently. Mayra is the type of person who does not like to beat around the bush.

"Gue is juz amma. And, I'm going to go to boarding school to learn the Qur'an, all of you study religion in san—"

"HUH!?" cut off Fara who felt disbelief. Honestly, he was surprised by Reynar's words just now. Zikra was surprised, but only put up his flat look.

"Your habits, Ra!!" gerutu Reynar's.

Fara took a step forward, slightly approaching Reynar who was now looking at him with one eyebrow raised.

"Rey ... Why do you want to enter the pesantren?" asked Fara in her weak voice. Really, he feels sad if Reynar in the boarding house. He will not meet Reynar every day.

"Why?" Reynar asked back. He felt enigma with the phrase Fara.

"Rey! You have the heart, yes, you want to leave me!!?" peekik Fara was upset. "Why, anyway, you seem to be avoiding me!!? I was wrong with you!!?"

"Udah Ra, it's already." Mayra reprimands Fara who vents her emotions to Reynar. He again said, "You must not forbid what he decides."

Fara ignored Mayra's words. Reynar looked at him fully inquiring and annoyed. Really, he did not accept Reynar's decision a little.

"Rey ... Who will get you into the pesantren? Papa you, don't care about you, Rey!" said Fara.

Reynar breathed. He held two sides of Fara's shoulder. "Gue to the boarding school because of my papa, Ra. He cares about me, so I got into the pesantren."

Fara went from there to the pickup car she saw had arrived. Mayra looked up for a moment and said, "I followed Fara, yes. Assalamualaikum."

Mayra passes through Zikra and Reynar with her head bowed. However, his steps were not far stopped because of Reynar's voice.

"GUE KAYAK GINI BECAUSE OF LO, MAY!"

Mayra just stopped the steps without turning around. Without responding he stepped back.

Zikra who was there, near Reynar, smiled slanted at Reynar. "Let's intention be wrong. And, entering the boarding school is just a waste!"

Zikra leaves Reynar for her white ayla car. Reynar was not long gone. The Zikra sentence had already evaporated into the air without her remembering.

On the way home, Fara continued to bend her face while making a**croll with Reynar. And, Mayra could see how close they were before this. Mayra also sees Reynar who is rancid and filled with silliness. However, Mayra realizes that Reynar has never been like that to her. When with him Reynar was just flat and smiled thinly.

Mayra was treated differently from Reynar. But, it doesn't matter either. Reynar is not who he is. Reynar is just a man God sent to fill the list of anyone who will be present in his life. It is just a visit or stay forever.

"Since Rey knows you she's different, May!" the word Fara made Mayra aware of her daydream. Mayra turned to Fara. "Rey is not as tough and as smilebelin as before. I'm a liar, yes, May."

Mayra frowned.

"I'm angry that Rey ngusilin me. But I'm happy too. I'm a fucking liar, May! Said it was sprain but his heart was happy."

Just the smile that Mayra gave me. "If he wants to change, you should be supportive. He changed because he realized his life had been filled only with futility, which would definitely not benefit anything."

Fara nodded. "And it's all because of you, May."
