THE SOUL OF MAYRA

THE SOUL OF MAYRA
58 (If possible ... forever).

"Grandmother again what?"

The half-century-old woman turned her head with an outstretched smile. She said, "Here Mayra, grandma's making pudding."

Mayra was beside her grandmother who was standing facing the stove, stirring the pudding which was still in the manufacturing stage with moderate fire.

"Why don't you say Mayra, anyway, Grandma?" Mayra feels sorry if her grandmother is tired. He is no longer young, he must be tired quickly. "I can help you, Grandma."

Grandma's right hand rubbed Mayra's head covered in a mocca-colored bergo hijab, and said, "Just make the pudding tired, Mayra? Grandma is okay."

"Yes, Grandma. Grandma is still fit despite the twilight. But, isn't it, it's also night, Grandma." Mayra helped prepare the mold container for the pudding. "Why don't you ask a aunt for help, too?"

"Just make a pudding for aunty's help? Grandma's not that weak, Mayra's my granddaughter."

"Let me stir, huh, Grandma? Grandma sit down" Mayra said. He sure can make the pudding, especially in the packaging there are instructions for making it.

"What's up, Grandma, May?"

Fara. The girl tied up her hair midget, and was already wearing pajamas.

"Make the pudding, Ra. You haven't slept?" mayra's reply is stirring.

Fara sat down next to Grandma's chair. He noticed Mayra making pudding.

"If I'm asleep I'm not here, May. You are, May!" said Fara. She exchanged news with her parents in Singapore. Almost every time before the break, Fara received her Rika—ma call.

"You called again, Fara?"

"Yes, Grandma. Mama said, Mama send greetings to Grandma, Grandpa with you, May."

"Waalaikumsalam warrahmatullah."

"Next friday come to the study, yes, Ra!" the word Grandma is not offering but commanding. "Rather than you have no activities at home, mending participated in the Mayra kayak study."

Fara breathed her. Honestly, he was very reluctant to attend events like studies. If he comes along, at least not listen because it prevents sleepiness.

"I don't promise, yeah, Grandma."

"You why is it so hard to be invited to the path of goodness? Grandma wants the best for you and Mayra."

Fara stood up, automatically her seat retreated with a squealing sound. Fara yes like this, if advised always evasive. He could never listen.

"Sir, I'll go to the room first, okay? Sleepy."

"Don't break this bad habit of yours. Grandma wants you better than you are now. If you can, learn from Mayra. He must have led you."

"Yes, Grandma. Good night."

"Grandmother don't be so hard to advise Fara. I don't want him to go back to Singapore."

"Although grandma counsels her, she won't listen, Mayra."

"Yes, Grandma, I know. But, if Fara were to return to Singapore, wouldn't it be harder to educate her?"

That's true too Mayra said. Grandma commented with a smile, she was lucky to have a granddaughter like Mayra. One hope grandma, may Fara soon hijrah. Leaving the western culture that had been attached to him.

"You're gonna have to get some practice time off because of the guy yesterday, huh? She ... who are you?"

Mayra down, nervous. Everything happened outside of his consciousness. Suddenly, he told Zikra to practice in the break. Although the break today Zikra has a busy time with the chairman of OSIS, he still agreed.

"Nobody, Brother. He's Fara's friend, and we know each other."

Zikra sighed, this innocent wanodya in front of him was indeed beautiful in his heart.

"Yes, I agree I want to practice in a break or pulsek. But do you believe that's the same with him? It could be just her mode."

Mayra stared for a moment at Zikra, then looked back down. "I believe that God always protects His servants. So, there's nothing to worry about."

Suddenly Zikra's hand lifted—ingin rubbed the top of Mayra—'s headbut before that really happened, Zikra turned her hand to rub the nape of her own head. Near Mayra he salting.

"You're right, May." Zikra smiled even though Mayra wouldn't see it. "Go to class, get the bell."

Mayra nodded. "Assalamualaik." He walked back a few steps and twisted his body to the classroom.

"Getishalight." Zikra is facing Mayra's departure.

There was no stopping for her, to smile at Mayra. There was no word of rejection for him, if it had anything to do with Mayra.

Know that the man two years older than Mayra is in love and amazed at one figure. His old heart does not have residents— when he knows Mayra who is quite ostracized by school residents—hatinya as if alive again.

"If possible, this heart is only your forever .." Zikra's senandika is still faithful with a smile on her face.
