THE SOUL OF MAYRA

THE SOUL OF MAYRA
35 (Mayra's decision)

"You have a problem huh?"

The activity of stirring drinks with straws also stopped. Fara looked up, looking at who was trying to get her to talk. Fara nodded in disbelief.

In front of him at this time there are bespectacled students who are always nicknamed 'Cupu' when at school. Again without being asked there was a meeting purely because of an accident tonight in the Land of Merlion Statues.

"Oh, sorry if I both you," said the girl who saw the ominous expression of Fara. "I go first. Good night, Far—"

"I have no problem" said Fara cut off the girl in front of him. What wind made it seem to stop the girl's departure. "Mmm .. what is your name?"

"OH MY GOD!"

The girl with the nickname 'Cupu' shut her mouth. Not believing that Fara, who always ignored him, avoided him, did not even hesitate to show his dislike, now asked what his name was.

"Thank you God ...," the girl muttered softly with her small smile.

Fara who saw the girl's behavior in front of her, sighed and felt stupid for throwing out the phrase 'What is your name'. Fara cursed in the heart.

Fara stood up, automatically pushing the seat he was sitting on backwards and causing a squeaking sound from the leg of the chair. Fara intends to finish at the coffee shop he visited tonight.

"HEY FARA! INTRODUCE MY NAME IS ZEA!!"

The girl that Fara left behind just now shouted out her name. Fara heard it, but kept walking away. Not intending to look back.

The girl was cursing herself at this moment. He should not have to pleasure himself and ignore Fara. And, it ended up like this. He left Fara gone.

Zea!! Who knew if Fara was smiling faintly at this moment.

"Shadaqallahul adzim ..."

Mentari. It gives off a light that is so beneficial to the life of creatures on earth. After the dawn prayer, Mayra recited her grandmother one of the suras in the Qur'an. This one of the habits attached to Mayra is the innate of pesantren.

Grandma shed tears at him. Grandma was embarrassed by Mayra. Ah, this one grandson turned out to grow in a thick religious band compared to himself who sometimes lay with religious knowledge.

"Mayra ..." Grandma greeted Mayra who was folding her face. Mayra turned and immediately approached. "Thank you for the heart-wrenching Qur'an grandmother."

Mayra smiled, returning her grandmother's sad gaze. "Alhamdulillah, if grandma likes."

"If only grandma could every day listen to the chants of the Qur'an Mayra, surely grandma was very happy."

Mayra made mencelos. The decision he was preparing turned out to be the best decision he should have chosen. Although it had been jolted nervously did not make his smile loosen.

Grandma frowned, her eyes looking at Mayra as if she was signaling her question.

"I dropped out to continue my schooling in regular school, Grandma" Mayra said. "And, in this respect I'd like to ask grandma's opinion."

Grandma looked back at Mayra. He grabbed and held his grandson's two hands. "Is this because of Grandma, Mayra?"

Mayra froze for a moment, then she shook her head. "It's purely my decision, Grandma. So ... What do you think of Grandma?"

"Grandma agrees that your grandfather agrees too." Grandma can't be selfish. He can't just think of himself. Grandpa has the right to give another opinion.

"But ...." Grandma seems to mind now. ".... Grandma shouldn't have gotten you out of the pesantren, Mayra. There's a lot of positive influence on you, don't you mind if you have to go?"

Mayra could not hold back her tears any longer, until now she had shed them. He really objected, but for the sake of his grandmother and grandfather Mayra chose this decision, stopping studying in pesantren.

"Grandma changed Mayra, grandma disagreed."

//Let me tell you again, will you, Pa? It also happens that there is a deadline in Rika. I should understand that too.//

Grandfather fell silent after listening to his son's reasoning. It exhales. Sometimes grandfather wants to be selfish on his son who is now traveling in a neighboring country.

"Papa didn't force you, yesterday was just news you should know about the woman who gave birth to you."

Grandfather's voice sounded flat, but the original was disappointed. Grandpa must understand the situation.

//If we can as soon as possible we will take off to Indo, Pa. Just pray.//

Grandpa looked ahead. He had no intention of stalling for an answer but he wanted to be silent a second time.

//It used to be, yeah, Pa. Say hello and sorry to my mom.//

Tutt tutt.... Call disconnected. Grandfather could not say anything, until finally Candra who was said to be busy turning off the call. Even so until this moment, my grandfather was still silent.
