CHAPTER 12 - Escort missions

2 Months had passed, They were all used to undergoing work as adventurers. They sometimes also split time to help Audrey work as a merchant, although they had only recently taken on extermination and hunting missions.

As usual this morning the three people were already standing in the guild Hall, more precisely in front of the request board. To decide what kind of work they would take this time.

“So what we will take ?” Eliana asked.

“I'm up to you two.” Audrey answered.

“Hemm, aren't you two bored with that mission-that's it?”

“During this time we only took missions related to monsters and hunting.”

“How about if this time we try another.” Hendry explained.

“What is it like for example ?” Eliana asked.

“Mission to escort a small merchant Caravan to the next city, Rewards 10 Gold Coins.”

At around 7am they met clients at the city's main gate and volunteered to help with their preparations.

That was the formation that felt most appropriate for now.

It is estimated that they will arrive in the city of Anggresia about 8-9 hours in the future which means afternoon.

Although in this kingdom itself the count is only a small empire, its territory is still very wide, every region such as a big city will be limited by landscape, whether it is forests, lakes, or even pastures. There are many small points in a large circle.

The caravan casually strolled through the forest, passing through the suburban forest and entering further through the main road that connects the city to the city.

"Hey are you okay?" Hendry asked while holding the shoulder of one of the people lying there.

But the man suddenly turned quickly towards Hendry and intended to slash Hendry using a dagger hidden in the lower part of his body.

Luckily this time Hendry's reflexes were sharp so he managed to jump backwards just before the dagger hit his body.

“Ah so right my guess... this is bad... really bad...”.

Everyone panicked and ran and got into the middle of the train. Pak Budi also did not expect something like this to happen because usually the neighbors between the two cities are relatively safe and there has never been bandits and restrictions like this.

The two people lying down got back up and each carried a sharp weapon plus 5 people who came out from the left and right side of the road, bringing the total to 12 people.

They were surrounded by 12 bandits, each carrying weapons either from swords, daggers or arrows. But fortunately there were no witches among them so there was still a possibility to deal with the three of them.

Currently Hendry protects the left side and Audrey protects the right side, while Eliana protects all passengers near the middle train.

The bandits certainly underestimated them. After all the three of them looked like children while they were all burly adult men who had long since become bandits.

The bandits began to attack, 2 of them who were on top of the tree on the right and left side shot arrows, right towards the two of them. Not just 1 or 2 arrows but each of them shot 3-5 arrows at once and intend to rain them.

The target is changed, which was Hendry and Audrey is now a horse carriage in the middle, intent on killing everyone who took shelter in it. Fortunately, nothing bad happened, Audrey sighed and immediately melted the ice wall that surrounded the three trains. He was currently facing off against the furious-faced bandit leader.

Audrey looked at him sharply, as she began to charge forward, Audrey brandished her magic wand and froze her entire body until she was confined within the thick ice. He did it because he was the one who felt most disturbing.

A Bandit leader who seemed full of experience and from earlier continued to give instructions and organize his subordinates so that his attack was not careless, Now frozen in ice cubes.

Now it was time to finish off all the remaining bandits, as everything that was troubling was defeated. Shortly after, this fierce battle ended.

2 Bandits were killed, 1 was heavily injured, 5 were medium injured, 3 were lightly injured and fainted while the leader froze. Everything can't fight.

Audrey looked slightly moody, looking at the helpless and blood-soaked bandits before her. Although he was cold-blooded towards the monsters he used to hunt, the same did not happen to humans.

After turning away from the group of bandits he tried to bring out the bandit leader who was locked in ice. He hit another ice with his magic and intended to break the ice, but something unexpected happened…

Audrey was shocked, she was so scared, her tears were flowing, seeing the big body of the bandit leader crumbling before her, especially her own doing so.

His body could not stop trembling, he realized his strength was still so dangerous, he began to worry about what he should do in the future, his grip weakened causing the magic wand he was holding to fall to the ground. Till…
