CHAPTER 28 - Joint Mission 2

A new day has begun, with a quite different atmosphere. The cold wind between the rocky hills blew towards the tent, the trees were fluttering noisily and dropping their leaves, making all remember to wake up and start today.

In the morning everyone prepared for breakfast, with only the supplies they brought and the warm water boiled from the remnants of the campfire last night. Eating together outside the tent also saw the brighter the morning sun.

After finishing, they cleaned up the tent, then set off towards the habitat of the stone Salamander that is near here. They slightly walked to the other side of the hill carrying their bags and belongings.

Not long after they arrived, here the atmosphere was quite different, almost all filled with rocks and only a little left of dry grass. The hunted monsters in question have also started to be seen, they are not groups but there are many.

Salamanders are almost similar to lizards along 1-2 meters with backs that resemble rocks around it. Moving fast with a flexible and shiny body and its back and tail looks dangerous. Thrashing rapidly while swinging his tail and body embedded with sharp rocks, moreover it seemed very heavy and sturdy.

Unwilling to waste their time putting things down, taking their respective weapons and directly running towards the lump of salamander, as if happy to hunt for treasure packed in the body of a lizard-shaped monster.

They all run closer without planning and begin to herd the one-on-one salamander alive to hunt each, leaving Eliana and Lia's brother here who still hasn't been lured. As if to hell with the teamwork they were all berserk themselves trying to get at least one for themselves. Even Elisa's brother an archer who attacked long distances also came forward, because of their enthusiasm.

As Eliana and Lia predicted from a distance, it happened. Instead of getting one by one part they all who participated were surrounded. Gathered in the middle into one surrounded by dozens of stone salamanders ready to wag the sharp tail of the stone.

Luckily Audrey quickly casts magic, A dome-shaped ice wall shuts them down like a ball and protects them from the monsters' attacks. Because they were inside they could not counterattack, they could only defend and hope for the two people who were still outside.

O gentle breeze that is around me, gather all of you before my eyes, turn spirally bigger and bigger, make a tornado storm that hits and hits all that is there, no matter what or who it is.. Turn around.. STORM!!!

Tornadoes started to appear and revolve around Audrey's ice dome, spinning fast and faster to make the salamander undo his intentions, they almost crashed but their feet clutched the ground and tried to defend but at that moment…

The ground around the ice dome began to grapple and throw all the salamanders into the tornado wind as far as several hundred meters around. Apparently the land that was sticking out of it belonged to Brother Lia. Just a moment ago he also cast a spell together even though his voice was not as loud as Eliana's.

Not willing to waste time, Audrey broke her ice magic and everyone in it retreated back while thinking of plans for the next. They all regrouped at the same location before they started, the location that Eliana and Lia still use to stand.

The five people who did the reckless act could only sit in silence, receiving the rant from Eliana who had saved them. While Lia's sister herself just kept quiet and smiled.

For long-range attackers as well as supporters like Eliana, Lia and Elisha will be placed in the middle, while others will be placed on the edge directly opposite to the stone salamanders including Audrey herself, because the attack is the most flexible, it can attack long or close even though the effect is not as strong as Hendry and others.

They began to attack and finish off one by one the existing slamanader. They began to fall, some were scarred, some were burned, some were torn to shreds and some were neatly killed with a slight scar on the neck, but for sure this is easier than the barbaric plan as before.

The bodies of salamanders fell where they were but their numbers were not seen to be reduced in the least, they just keep coming out of the rock crevice so there's no time for now to sort out any of the salamander skins they'll bring home even though this is more than enough of what's needed to completing missions. They continued to fight while waiting for the rampage of this salamander to subside.

The fight took place for some time, the two parties still turned their backs and attacked every Salamander that was in front of them. At that time also during a fierce battle where very many salamanders were killed and fled while they also began to get injured.

Vishnu and Elisha accidentally release a salamander towards Hendry, Audery and Eliana. The salamander ran and jumped up to the three, they both intended to save him the moment they realized, for them to feel indebted as they had been talked about the previous day.

However their timing failed and the monsters advanced uncontrollably, but it was fortunate that Audrey realized that. He swung the fiery stick as usual to stab the Salamander. The monster was thrown backwards, with parts of the stomach and neck burning.

Vishnu and Elisha fell silent for a moment because of his surprise to see Audrey like this. With the sharp gaze of his eyes that glowed purple in the shadows, he was able to kill the monster for a split second.

The two did not realize that the 2 salamanders were jumping behind them, Hendy and Eliana who had a glimpse of it instantly turned around and attacked appropriately. Eliana cast her wind magic and Hendry threw his greatsword right at the monster's lower body.

The situation turned around, the plan that the two of them secretly prepared failed and instead turned towards themselves.

They were a little annoyed but could not say anything because they felt that this was the karma of what they were doing, and now both felt indebted to the three C-ranked beginners.

The fight continued while the two of them forgot for a moment what had happened. The fight was getting less and less, the number of salamanders coming out was less but there was no sign of ending, they were all getting tired, but suddenly the ground and rocks around were rumbling.

All the salamanders ran away dodging and a piece of rocky land started to crack, the sound of electric sparks started to sound and the ground exploded. Amidst the scorching heat of the sun, sand dust exploded and soared high covered the giant hole. A flash of static electric blue light that is strong enough to strike between dust particles.

The dust started to disappear and a figure was seen inside. An enormous salamander measuring 5 and 8 meters in length, with scales and a tail like stone and static electricity coming out between its skin made it look like a dragon without wings.

Most likely he was the last boss they had to fight in the hunt this time around…
