CHAPTER 24 - Blacksmith Pak Yanto 2

It was not too late but the atmosphere was quite hot. In the spacious room was noticeably hotter than outside, chunks of material and iron ore piled on the outskirts with several parons and a large furnace some of which were still in the middle of the room.

Accompanied by heat like this their work has just begun. Hendry began to ask and Mr. Yanto began to explain.

“In short in these few days we have to make 50 magic swords.”

In these few days they had to make 50 magic swords called keris. Keris itself is a sword that can also be used as a magic wand because of the material content in it, a small sword in the form of asymmetrical with the characteristic blade of the sword curved like a snake. The materials used include: Iron ore, Steel slab, magic stone, magic crystal and also thin bone slab from monsters or other materials (optional).

The reason why many equipment use magic stones or magic crystals is to draw magic energy from one's body. Everyone has magic energy, much at least depending on the innate from birth, but to channel that power out, requires an intermediary.

Most people are not able to use powerful attack magic with their bare hands, which is why magic equipment is made. If without magic equipment, one might only be able to perform simple magic such as making sparks or removing a glass of water.

Even Audrey and Eliana herself chose to unlock the storage magic and take out other magic tools to attack rather than bothering with bare hands, though the weak could at least pick up one or 2 important items. But this does not apply in some conditions such as when the power of Audrey uncontrollable first.

After the explanation from Mr. Yanto is finished they are ready to start making. They would load in masall, making many parts at once, so as not to make one sword at a time, to be faster and more efficient.

The first step begins, Mr. Yanto and the two begin to prepare raw materials as described earlier. He carried 2 large sacks of iron ore on his shoulders. He lifted it easily as proof the muscles he had were really strong.

Hendry and Audrey followed him behind, he carried 2 buckets of pebble-like magic stone shards, while Audrey carried a thin steel slab, thin monster bones as well as a bag of small marble-like magic crystals.

The items were brought from the warehouse and placed in the middle of this room, adjacent to a stone furnace of considerable size. Mr. Yanto put the iron ore he carried into the furnace and told Hendry the same thing. Audrey put down some of the items she was carrying then lapse a while Mr. Yanto called her.

After all the iron ore and magic stones into the furnace, Audrey immediately took out a magic wand and started her magic.

Hendry, Audrey and Mr. Yanto are ready this time, each of them has brought a hammer and iron rod clamp. At first Mr. Yanto gave an example, he began to take one of the pieces of material, he began to take, clamp it with an iron stick whose handle is wrapped in cloth and burn it again in one of the small stoves that is still burning until the mixture is red.

Only then did Mr. Yanto take him to a paron and start hitting him with a hammer. Sparks of Fire gushed out through the iron ore that was struck, some of its thin layers were peeled to ash, but Mr. Yanto still hit it.

The mixture of iron ore and magic stone was smashed and formed like a rectangular beam, when it started to cool it had to be heated again in order to be slightly soft when struck. When the shape of the beam was long, Mr. Yanto bent it to 2 and was hit again like that and he said…

“You should forge it repeatedly like this at least about 20 times.”

“20 CALIII ??” Hendry and Audrey replied together in shock.

“But uncle isn't 20 times for each sword a lot?” Ask Hendry.

“What... There is a problem ?” Replied Mr. Yanto calmly while stretching his large muscles.

“No !!!” Hendry replied with enthusiasm because he felt this was the right exercise for him. Audrey agreed, but she was still curious, so she asked further.

It turns out that after being explained by Mr. Yanto, the real reason is that iron ore can be more evenly mixed with magic stones, but also to condense the material mixture to make it stronger.

After the two understood now they had been seen in front of their respective parons and started forging. The three were in each corner of the room and were opposite each other, with one of the combustion furnaces still burning.

Mr. Yanto does this as usual, because this is his daily work. Hendry forges it vigorously, he hopes that after this mission is completed his muscles are slightly developed like Pak Yanto because for him this is the main goal in this mission since they first met. Now the problem is only with Audrey.

It was fine for him to lift the hammer, but the problem was that when the hammer was struck, the energy produced was less powerful to bend the iron ore mixture before him. Unlike Mr. Yanto who experienced in this for many years or Hendry who used to use a large sword during a fight, Audrey didn't have that and now she can just sit back and look for ideas to get this problem resolved.

Audrey fell silent, folded her chest hand and looked at the iron ore mixture that was in front of her. A few moments later he thought of a slightly crazy idea just because he saw a red flame at the end of the lump of material. Not wanting to linger, he just executed this idea.

He opened his storage magic, a magic circle appeared on the floor quickly then closed 2 seconds later. The moment of his appearance a ring was thrown into the air and caught quickly by one of Audrey's hands.

He wore on his right hand, a silver ring with magic crystals that resembled agate. The ring was a magic tool that they snatched from the leader of the villains “Tikus Got” in the city of Anggresia at that time. The reason Audrey wore it was because there was no way she could use her magic wand in this plan.

After the ring was completed, Audrey picked up the hammer, lifted it up, and prepared for forging once more. This time he did not directly hit his hammer but stopped in mid-air for a moment as he recited a fairly short spell.

A moment later Audrey started to hit, flames started to appear behind the hammer and then pushed fast like a jet engine. The hammer shot out quickly and struck the iron ore before him for a split second. Because it hit too hard, the paron and the floor around it shook too much, a strong gust of wind made some metal blades hanging on the wall fall to the surprise of the neighboring cat.

Hendry and Mr. Yanto were shocked. The two of them approached Audrey and asked her what was going on. Before Audrey answered, she lifted the hammer she was holding and the result was shocking.

The material that Audrey forged was not only bent but split in two, Audrey raised her head and turned back, she saw Hendry and Mr. Yanto watching her.

The look of astonishment and the smiles of the two people, they were right on the right and left side of Audrey's shoulders, so they saw everything clearly.

"Wahahahhaaa.I've never seen anyone use such magic."

Mr. Yanto and Hendry returned to their respective positions. Audrey immediately re-burned the two pieces of iron ore to fuse together, then forged like before but not with excessive force.

The three of them forged and continued to forge, until it did not feel one by one other parts began to be taken, and the finished parts began to be separated.

Throughout the day the sound of iron thumping continued to exist and repeated. All three hit the iron with passion, none of them gave up, even though sweat poured and soaked the body.

It did not feel like time kept turning, things quickly went by, all the pieces of iron ore were finished one by one. The tired sun turned yellow and began to descend from the throne during the day, signifying an increasingly late afternoon.

All three were done this time, at least for this part, they packed up and lined up to go home and rest.

Hendry, Audrey and Eliana were at the front door, bidding farewell to Mr. Yanto and his daughter. After that they immediately went home, rested as usual and prepared tomorrow, the second day in this place again.
