CHAPTER 39 - The brothers they once saved

The journey had begun a while ago, the mountains and hills were increasingly lagging far behind. The atmosphere felt warmer as well as the day that continued to run. On the trees and grasslands they continued to go, although actually not in a hurry, this time they refused to land.

Just like the previous departure, right at noon they were already half-way, just like the time when the three stopped for a short stop in this city. A city that they have been to quite often, a beautiful city in green pastures, in other words a city called Anggresia.

They landed and went deeper, intending to take a break and have lunch as usual. This time the three went deeper into the city center, eating at a restaurant they had stopped at and took a short walk in this city. “Actually we have decided to take a short break, we want to temporarily return to our hometown, to our parents' house because it has been too long here, is it Hen ?”

Hendry was very impressed with what Rio said, his eyes sparkling, his tone of voice excited and his hands patted Rio's back even though he was seen as grinning by Audrey and her brother.

“You really are a great kid, I'm proud of you son.” He said in a slightly fleshy tone, giving a thumbs up with his right hand, with a sparkling smile that appeared on his teeth, in essence Hendry looked a little strange.

Long story short, the three of them finally stopped by Rio and Anna, because they were offered to stay overnight. And again it seems like the three of them are also interested in the development of Rio and Anna to this extent, let alone not only Rio who bought the sword but Anna now also already has a small magic wand like Eliana's, too, even though they are still doubtful about the ability that the brothers have.

Since Rio and Anna's work this afternoon was done, then Hendry, Audrey, and Eliana were intending to teach a little something that was at least useful from what they had known all along, as it happened to stop by. They will do the lightning exercises later in the afternoon.

Right now the five of them continued walking, away from the main road and entering towards the place where the hustle and bustle of the city started to sound faint, The shops and buildings around had long since closed were also left behind. The road here is wide and dry, not muddy and damp as in most narrow alleys. This place was quite quiet, almost no one passed by because it was rarely known by the immigrants from outside.

It is not clear if this is still inside or outside the main fortress of this city, because it is quite wide with blue sky as its dome. The irregular wooden house is here, the patchwork from the outside is quite clear, some of the residents look to fix the roof and some adult women seem to chat with ria to and fro.

There was also a man sweeping the courtyard and there was also a man who pulled a garbage cart and collected it somewhere. A group of boys younger than Anna ran around here and there, playing together occasionally climbing trees without clothes.

A while later they all arrived at Rio and Anna's house, a small wooden house that was almost the same as the other houses. They all went inside, it was pretty clean and pretty empty with furniture unlike Audrey's. There was only a small table of chairs, and a single cupboard with a photo of the late parents Rio and Anna was clearly plastered on its walls.

Rio let the three of them sit on the chair, while he and his sister went into another room to put the luggage that he had previously brought. A few minutes later he came out with his sister, brought a few glasses of water and bread and put it on the table.

The five of them sat down and chatted casually, but since the tables and chairs here were not enough then it was decided to move all of them to the floor. After the sun was not too hot they went out to the backyard of this house to start the exercise as they had planned. It's wide because there's no fence in the way. There are no other houses around here, only trees and rocks.

They all started training, Hendry specially trained Rio using the sword. As Hendry had guessed before, Rio had already mastered his basic ground so he continued his training to the intermediate level. Several times they did a match practice, of course, both of them chose to use a tree branch rather than a real sword they had, because it was feared that it would be quite dangerous.

Audrey and Eliana accompany Anna to practice magic. When they asked him to cast magic, he could only make how many glasses of water. It is natural for a little boy like him, even arguably he is quite talented, so the two of them have not been able to teach him too hard as Hendry taught his brother. Both of them just showed some magic they had and explained something, trying to make Anna more interested in magic because they thought it would be useful.

Training has been going on for a long time, Anna fell asleep in Eliana's lap while her brother was still training with Hendry even though it was getting darker. Sweat began to pour between the two of them but his spirit had not been extinguished. Who would have thought in this short time Rio could almost keep up with Hendry.

On the other hand Audrey lit the torch that was here so that the training could still continue even though the sun had sunk. The three of them looked at Rio and Hendry from a distance, Anna had already woken up and watched the two of them lying down instantly because she was so tired.

It was time for dinner so they decided to finish, Everyone re-enters the house. Even though today was the hardest day he had ever felt, Rio was grateful to be given this kind of rare opportunity.

Since Rio was too tired, the ones cooking dinner this time were Eliana and Anna, whose ingredients were some of Eliana's personal supplies. They were all eating voraciously, especially Rio and Hendry who had been exhausted. After eating they wash the dishes and continue to sleep.

Then tomorrow morning, the three of them would return to the capital and report back on a job they had successfully completed…
