The Sweetest Harsh

The Sweetest Harsh
Episode-23 Quarrels

Alfa decided to stay on the edge of his wife's bed after she finally desperately couldn't persuade Tiara to first fill her belly. The discomfort that still lingered after a while ago exposed to the injection of drugs, made him not want to do anything at this time, other than wait for the reaction to disappear and Alfa accompanied by him.

The man simply fell silent while continuously squeezing and gently rubbing the back of Tiara's hand with his thumb, while his gaze was nimble, glaring, clashing strangely with his own mind. Without feeling it, the gentle touch was able to make Tiara feel drowsiness again, so slowly, the woman began to close her eyes again. Releasing all his troubles into the deep sea that drowned him deeply.

Alfa exhaled a long breath and looked briefly at Tiara. Both of his eyebrows shot up and a thin smile adorned his lips staring at Tiara who was back severed peacefully and his body moving in a regular rhythm of breathing. Wrap that brown hair in a few strokes.

It's not okay. He knew Tiara had to bear a heavier burden than him. Alpha continues to strengthen Tiara over everything, while without feeling, himself increasingly withered in guilt and pain that increasingly entangled.

Tiara is a strong woman, she understands that. But somehow at first, he felt Tiara became so weak and lost hope. Alfa knew this was a long wait, a wait that she could not be sure when the estuary of time would come.

You cannot lose before you start. He had to convince himself first before withdrawing Tiara's hand to get back up from the problems that had shackled them both. This was no big deal, even though it managed to make his heart fall apart. However, inevitably, he had to retrace his life with a stronger soul.

The man moved slowly down the bed where Tiara had fallen asleep. Decided to buy food so that when his wife woke up, she no longer needed to leave him. Tiara will still have to be under the supervision of a doctor for the next 4 hours before returning home, and he always refused to accept food from hospital catering because he considered himself not sick so he could eat ordinary food.

Alfa walked towards the exit, gazing back at the sleeping Tiara as if making sure she was safe there then opened the door and stepped out with the door shut.

One large bag of healthy food that Alfa bought earlier he just tenteng with his right hand. He put his left hand into his pants pocket while his feet lightly stepped through the quiet-looking spaces around the corridor. The silhouette of a woman who appeared after she passed the turn of the road made her mind quickly change attitude. The woman who was walking far in front of him made Alfa's stride speed to be above average. Half running. Hopefully Tiara hasn't woken up from her sleep and she should get there as soon as possible before Mama gets there and makes the traumatic scene for Tiara reoccur.

“Mama!” Call him half-screaming then rush over.

Helmia stopped her steps then turned around and stared without pause, her fast-running son approaching.

“Self?” Alpha raised both eyebrows.

“Ya.” Helmia muttered casually.

“Tiara may still be asleep. I'll see it. Wait here for a moment.” Alfa reached back to Tiara's treatment room, only six steps from where Helmia was standing.

Alfa closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. Relieved that Tiara was still sleeping. There was still time for him to talk to his mother for a while.

Slowly the man put the paper bag on the table and with tiptoes he immediately left the room.

Helmia was sitting on a waiting bench not far from Tiara's room. Alfa then slammed her body and sat down beside her Mama.

“What happened to Tiara? Jeni told me, but she's not here, so she doesn't know what she's doing.” Helmia looked straight ahead and then turned her head, finding half-down Alfa looking down at the floor.

Alpha exhales deeply and then crosses and glares. “She miscarried and had to do curettage.”

“What? Again?” Helmia frowned. Surprised by the brief news delivered by Alfa.

“She didn't know she was pregnant. Tiara fell and had bleeding.”

“Oh.” The woman leaned in with a careless attitude.

Alfa turned her head and stared intently with furrowed brows. “Did Mama come just to know what Tiara is? Didn't ask how she was?” Alfa nodded with her comfort. However, it was met with words like a bullet that directly stabbed to death right into his heart.

Helmia scoffed, “You think why do you need to know? Mama wants you to marry Nelly. Before it's too late and makes you regret.”

Flames began to be seen in the flash of Alpha's eyes. His molars tightened with a stern expression. The man then replied with a speech that was no less cynical and clapped his hands softly. “Good.”

Alfa straightened her back, then turned her head around, making sure no one else heard the heated debate between her and her mother even though they spoke in a low tone.

“Mama should know better. Where is good and bad advice.” Alfa emphasized the tone of the voice in her last sentence.

“Oh. Feeling great now? You're married and you want offspring. Why do you keep a weak woman like her? What's good for you? I never thought, his behavior was exactly like his father who was just a corruptor. You know corruptors? He likes to take advantage of others for his own happiness. He should have told you before he married you. Just realized you're trapped now? Who do you think will help you?” Helmia flocked him with a line of scornful words that overflowed from the bottom of her heart.

Got it. Alfa's starting to understand now. Why is her mother half-hearted to Tiara. It turns out his worries were right. Nelly actually came to his house to see his mother and asked for protection as an ally. He attacked her right when she was falling.

Alfa was still relaxed with her arms crossed. It was as if her mother's words were just the wind and meant nothing to her. He was too used to hearing such words.

“Already?” Alfa asked the question casually. “What Mama done?”

Helmia shook her hands in a loud voice as the bag she was carrying was slammed there.

“You .…” The woman snarls. His anger was burning to the top. “Don't expect Mama to see Tiara again. Don't expect!” Helmia got up violently from her seat and walked away with a loud whistling sound that grew louder as she moved away.

Alfa closed her eyes to calm down for a moment. His chest rumbled with various emotions mixed into one. It's really getting very complicated. His head felt throbbing more and more. He looked down and squeezed his head with a hardened fist.

He must be strong. Tiara was his priority at the moment. With a flushed face and still bowed, he forced himself to stand up immediately and approached Tiara again in his treatment room.

Alfa stiffened as she opened the door and found Tiara had woken up and looked straight at her. Spontaneously, he put on his sweet face with a knotty smile without noticing that his appearance was very bad with messy hair.

The Tiara widened its eyes as Alpha drew closer. “You why?”

“Hm?” Alfa turned to the woman at a glance as her steps arrived at the nightstand and was about to arrange food for her to feed Tiara.

“Are you feeling better?”

That question could not distract Tiara from her. What's wrong with her? Does it seem so strange that Tiara endlessly looks at him with such a strange look? Oh, stupid. Why did he not go first and wash his face to look fresh? Alpha is cursed in the heart.

“Alfa, why you?” Tiara's words turned anxious.

Ah, really women are troublesome if you are curious. “I? Ah, I'm so hungry Tiara. I'd love to eat.” Alfa rubbed her stomach with a grimace making Tiara puff her mouth and exhaled with a sigh of disappointment to hear Alfa's answer to her anxiety earlier.

“Eat ya?” Alfa said while thrusting a spoon towards his wife's mouth.

Tiara then tried to sit up straight and put his right hand in front of Alfa. The man raised an eyebrow inexplicably.

The woman took the spoon filled with food from Alpha's hand, then thrust the spoon that was now in her hand into Alfa's mouth. “You're hungry, aren't you? You're hungrier than I am. Eat.” Tiara smiled in her pale face.

Alfa was seen weighing for a moment, then opened his mouth and devoured with full pleasure the food that was fed by his wife. He even grabbed the spoon that was still in Tiara's hand and then fed another spoonful of food until now his mouth was full of chew.

His heart was heating up and really if Tiara looked straight at his eyes at this moment, there was a puddle that was ready to overflow if only he did not immediately shift his focus to the chewed food in his mouth.

Oh, Alpha is confused again for umpteenth time. Who is being treated and sick here?
