The Sweetest Harsh

The Sweetest Harsh
Episode 25 - Closer

The cloudy weather and small drizzles were the introduction to Alfa's departure this morning. He has to finish some work out of the area for the next two days. Weight. Alfa was very heavy to leave Tiara alone at home. I don't know since when he became a melancholy man like a young man who did not want to go home after happy to let go of longing with his lover.

“Tiara.” The sound of a call from the front of the house shocked him. Tiara bristled and held her head up, reassuring what she had just felt. Guess who called from behind. It can't be Alpha. It was impossible for the man to act childishly by going back home and neglecting work just because of his worries about himself. The new tiara four steps into the terrace, then stops. Slowly, he turned his body.

“Davian," the woman shrieked her two eyes that met directly with sapphire blue eyes there.

“Hai.” The man waved his hand.

Tiara smiled faintly. Ah yes, he forgot to talk about this Davian to Alfa. The man of course came here to replace his job of preparing for the exhibition in the opposite house. It's likely that Davian was at the exhibition home last night considering that Alfa was there a few hours before his departure.

“Can I log in?” Davian displayed his grin as Tiara glued to him who was still far below the terrace with a drizzle that began to wet his head and clothes.

“Oh. Yes, of course. Login.” Tiara flinched from her long daydream, stunned and still silent on the spot.

Davian nodded and began to step foot on the steps up to just a short distance with Tiara.

Indeed, if the flowers that began to appear in Davian's heart are really visible, then the terrace of this house will be scattered because of it. He hadn't met this woman in a long time. Her face without makeup and her body getting thinner made Davian smile wryly. He was happy because Tiara was not as awkward when meeting him in the past days. However, in his heart was also tucked in sadness and wanted to hold the woman in an embrace if possible. Tiara seemed unwell after a while ago having her second miscarriage.

“Sit. I'll get you a drink.” Davian nodded then sat down on one of the chairs of the room located close to the door.

Davian looked around the room. The decoration of this house is not much different from the house across the street used by Alfa to house his works. Minimalist with various flowers and synthetic leaves that spread to the roof. Do not forget the paintings and photos taken by Alfa with various sizes plastered there.

Make this house feel like a minimalist coffee shop as it is often visited. It seemed, Tiara had indeed deliberately chosen such decorations according to her wishes.

Before long, the woman carried a tray of two cups of drink.

“It's raining, I think coffee is what you want.” Tiara put the two drinks on the table, then sat down opposite the man.

“Thank you.” Davian took the cup and took a sip, looked up at Tiara and put it back. “Pas. As I usually drink.” The man smiled.

“Oh yes? Alfa used to drink coffee with a dose like that. I thought maybe your fellow man had the same taste.”

Davian folded his lips and smiled back. “Yes. Of course.” Dehemated. “You dare to stay alone like this when Alfa is not around?”

Tiara sighed and folded her hands. “Hm ... I'm used to it myself. So, like this is no problem.” Tiara picked up the phone in her shirt pocket then started typing the message. Lazy with Davian's questions that begin to lead to personal things.

Wait Davian. Tiara is fighting for her fate which has now been colonized by Alfa because she was appointed as an assistant by her husband. Davian was speechless then looked at Tiara's fickle expression as if talking directly to her interlocutor while communicating via text with a mobile phone for some time. Lastly, Tiara directed her sharp gaze to the eyes of Davian who was now also staring at him.

What a good, loyal, and weird friend. Once Tiara judged Davian after receiving successive messages from Alfa about his compulsion to accept Davian because the man himself forced his heart to have to accept him.

“How do you work at Blueict?” Tiara spontaneously asked after putting her phone on the table. Not wanting to argue back with her husband because he had to painstakingly type the message, so that the conversation could not be stolen heard by Davian back. “Aren't you bothered having to help Alpha here?”

Davian advanced his body. Oh. Tiara was discussing herself. It turned out that his presence was quite attention-grabbing for Tiara. “There are no problems for me. I'm just a friend who understands enough when Alfa feels she needs help.” Davian smiled obliquely.

The sound of thunder booming followed by a flash of light from the sky and the torrential rain was enough to make both of them suddenly close their ears. Tiara and Davian looked at each other. Understand if they're going to spend more time together here because Davian's stuck in the rain.

Davian smiled happily in his heart. Feeling a pile of luck rushing towards him. While Tiara stared anxiously towards the outside of her glass door. He couldn't possibly not be so kind as to have Davian come home in such heavy rain.

Alfa arrived at the parking lot with an abundance of pine trees shading around it. Nope. Not in the mountains. The man was a kilometer from the shore. Alfa took off her sunglasses as soon as she got out of her beloved car. There was regret that had ranted considering he went to a place as beautiful as this without inviting Tiara to participate. But he couldn't possibly have let his wife curl up alone by the beach while there were plenty of things to take her time to do.

He walked up to one of the large tree faults and sat his body there, picking up a cell phone to contact his colleagues.

“Alfa .…” That voice. The waves become the dominant instrument there. Even so, he could clearly capture who the owner of the voice called his name.

Alfa looked back with real shock. That lady. What's he doing here?

“You ...” Alfa raised next to the eyebrows with a wrinkled face. Showing endless hatred that still seems obvious.

“Iya. I finished shooting in a flower garden close to this location. And of course, will regret if you do not take the time to stop by this beautiful place.” Nelly put on her sweet smile and explained at length without being asked.

Lied. Nelly's plan went smoothly this time. Davian is reliable. The man was with Tiara, and he was with Alfa. It only takes repetition so they can get back to being familiar. He felt victorious because he had the full support of Helmia.

Nelly tidied her own long hair that repeatedly grabbed her face because of the wind. Indeed, even though Alpha was cold, at least he could breathe the same beach air as him. Like repeating his old romance stories that once intertwined with the man. Whatever he wants now, that is hope.

"You yourself? Where's your comrades?" Nelly said cheerfully.

Alfa turned her head to Nelly's side at a glance and kept her gaze focused on the phone she was holding.

Nelly looked back and found Alfa's fellow photographers standing in a crowd staring at the two of them, as if to say, what are you doing? Alfa let's hurry.

Like getting a wordless order, the woman awkwardly ended up turning her body back to face Alfa.

"Oh, you've been waiting. I'm leaving."

Alpha was the first to move from that place even before Nelly had time to step. Nelly was stunned to see the man of her heart just nodding briefly at his parting words. Heart's scratched. His eyes closed feeling incisions that began to ache in his chest. He remained silent until Alfa walked past him far back.

With a frustrated step, he stepped his foot roughly straight forward. I don't know where.

"Hello, Gheo Alpha." A beautiful woman who had been wearing a prewedding costume reached out after Alfa walked over from Nelly's direction.

Alfa smiled and shook the woman's short hand in front of her.

"thank you. It's nice to be photographed by you." The bride-to-be nodded politely.

Once again Alfa smiled and spread one hand giving way. "Let me take it."

The two walked towards the middle of the beach where his colleagues and the bridegroom had arrived first.

The morning air is fresh. Supportive weather plus the coolness of the wind rich in oxygen blowing gives a pleasant calm sensation.

Both couples looked happy. Alfa was helped by her friends taking various photos with poses that made almost all of their clothes wet swept by sea water. Laughter and screams of cheer that were fused with the sound of the waves rumbling, did not make their enthusiasm recede. And, Alfa still has to be in this place until the evening before because it has to take a photo session with twilight background.

Alfa promises in her heart to occasionally take Tiara on vacation to the beach in between her free time.

Ah, Tiara, that man is already really homesick now.
