The Sweetest Harsh

The Sweetest Harsh
Episode 65 - The Last Plan

Helmia, who was holding the car handle and was about to enter, stopped her steps when the phone shakes in her bag calling. For a moment the woman took the communication device from her bag and noticed the name on her interface screen. With an annoyed expression, he raised the call and stuck his phone in the ear.

“Is the opening event of Alfa gallery finished?” the bass on the man across the phone sounded calm. “I contacted him, but he didn't pick up my call,” restless.

The woman breathed a long breath. “You do really care or just rather than not asking any news at all?” jeered. “Go home if you want to know.” Helmia folded her lips with a surprised expression, not expecting the words to come out of her mouth.

There was a little laughter from Jonah that made the woman ashamed. “What? You want me to come home? Are you missing?” Ask in a seductive tone.

“You're like a child. It's been. I still have a lot of business. Don't have much time to feed your bullshit.”

Helmia cut off the phone without giving Jonah time to speak.

The woman resumed her delayed activities, entered the car cabin and ordered lazily to the driver who was ready to be behind the wheel. “Ke head office,” command.

“Good Mistress,” replied the driver directly by stepping on the gas pedal and running the car according to the master's orders. Out of the big gate of his house.

Helmia leaned her head against the seat back by looking to the side, at the black glass window that showed the traffic on the main road they were passing through. His mind was full of all sorts of things piling up in his mind. Jonah is outrageous. Only this time did the man with his nose leave for so long in his affairs out of town. Two months and never once did her husband question how she was doing and how she was living. Every time he contacted him, all that was in the topic of his conversation was about the company or Alpha. In fact, during her stay, Helmia really every day went to the company to check the daily and weekly reports provided by employees. He felt his body tired amazingly. These two months also work hard to take the time to control the course of the company. The woman even quietly fell asleep until late at night to do research on new things that could be applied in her company.

The woman sighed and then closed her eyes. For a moment gave a pause to the complexity of his mind when it felt on his body, the car he was riding stopped. Get into the traffic that makes him tired.

In her dark gaze, Helmia recalled her brief encounter with her son some time ago, when she had just entered the gallery room. Thinking about the boy's relationship with Karina. Would it not be better if the two of them were to get married soon? So that moments like this, he is not alone and there is Karina who can accompany him, right? But there was something stuck in his heart. Tiara's always plain face somehow bothered her. Helmia had no idea what had actually happened to the relationship of Alpha and Tiara. They haven't separated yet. But has Alfa really changed her mind as planned? Ah, he regretted having indulged his emotions to have a one-on-one conversation with Tiara, thus always making his mood fall apart.

"Madam, it's one o'clock in the afternoon. Would it not be better if you postpone the trip to the head office and have lunch first? The traffic jam is still long. We can turn to the nearest restaurant." The driver ventured to speak even though Helmia was still closing her eyes. The man slightly tilted his body to the left, looking at his tired-looking master.

Lazily and heavily, slowly the woman's two eyelids are pulled upwards, revealing a reddish tint to her sclera. "I don't have much time. I'll order lunch later when I get to the office" he said.

"good. I'll take another lane that's a little twisting, but not stuck in traffic" he explained.

"Yes. So much better," he said with a long sigh.

Jonah stood behind a large glass wall at the top of his branch office building. Seeing with a sense of peace, the scene with the dominant green color that was presented before him. An expanse of trees with weeds creeping over the ground, still imbued with sketches of mountains hugged by white clouds that wade at the shoots. Panorama that of course he could not find in the city where he lived.

He really misses his city. Wanting to get back together with the frenzy of his activities and stay with his wife back, but, he had to hold back for a while longer, until Alfa gave him news about the plan that was also the middle of his son was running. This was really draining his energy and mind as he had to go the extra mile like this.

With a heavy heart, he finally turned off the jammer attached to his villa, because it could not stand the nagging Helmia who had difficulty when he wanted to contact him.

The man returned to his seat and took his mobile phone on the table. He hurriedly searched for the name of his daughter and pressed the caller button.

After a few rings, it finally sounded rustling and Alfa's voice greeted across the phone.

"Tiara's resting Pa, what's up?"

"Oh. Is your wife okay?" Ask. "Papa suddenly remembered Tiara because of the sight of this place that still showed his sustainability. He likes green color, right?" The man was speechless while still looking out at the glass wall.

Alfa looked for a moment at Tiara, who was asleep in bed before answering her papa's question. "Tiara is fine and the content .. healthy. Is Papa at leisure so that it's a relief to call?"

Jonah smiled. "Thank God." The man nodded thinly. "Well, like this. Papa's not going anywhere. Just complete the work sent via email and wait for reports from employees to be sent later in the afternoon," he explained.

Alpha breathed a long breath. "Is Mom not suspicious? Doesn't he come to the office every day and analyze everything?"

Jonah chuckles. "Don't worry, everything is set up as best as possible so there will be no suspicious loopholes. After all, the reports submitted to your mama have been updated as well as the current state is being planned," he said, leaning his head against the back of the chair behind him. "How's your plan? Is it going as it should?"

"Looks like. Mama's already starting to trust my relationship with Karina." The man raised his eyebrows and his mouth swung forward.

"good. Continue until the end. You can take Tiara to the villa with Papa. There are many domestic assistants who will serve the needs of your wife. Whatever it is," he said.

Alfa breathed a heavy sigh. "To be honest I really objected to having to be a long distance away with Tiara. She is pregnant and still has to check up regularly. Do I have to ask doctor Jeni to come to the villa when Tiara is there?" Ask with doubt. The man felt that this plan was very heavy. There was still half the plan left to go through and lastly, it was very painful. How can he linger stretching the distance between himself and his lover, let alone the current state of Tiara that really needs extra supervision.

"That's easy. Arrangeable. Papa also has access to health services"

"No. I still want Jeni's doctor to handle everything because she's the one who knows for sure how Tiara's doing from the start," he said.

"OKAY. It's up to you. Do not hesitate to contact Papa because Papa will always be ready to help," he said.

Alfa smiled obliquely. "thank you. Take care of Papa's health."

"of course. You are too. Take good care of Papa's grandson," he concluded and closed the call. Jonah smiled wryly. Wanting to feel at the end of his sentence he said out loud that he loved his only son so much.

Didn't Helmia realize that their son was in the same situation as him? Being in a time of hope for a son? Oh, right now, Jonah still thinks of Alfa as his little boy. The shadow of the boy who always laughed when he came was glued tightly in his imagination. And, he no longer knew what way to show his affection other than in this ridiculous manner.

Hopefully, hopefully this last plan is to close the book for the dark story in his family.
