58. Counteroffensive

A super-large magic circle appeared above the sky. Then as the magic circle glowed reddish, a great amount of flames started to fall like rain. But as if attracted by something, the flames gathered together in a single point, to form a large fireball.

“Take my Revenge!.”

Just below the giant fireball, a Wizard who continued to raise his right arm up into the sky, quickly dropped down. Simultaneously, the giant fireball above his head slid down causing a very stinging impact of hot air.

“Waaaaaa, do you intend to obliterate the entire mountain!.” I said frantically.

The Charcoal that possessed the Wizard's body did not heed my words, but I could see his smile from behind.

This is not just revenge.

He only wanted to see the power of the Wizards.

The giant fireball dropped by Arang hit a huge mound of earth like a small mountain with thousands of holes, which was nothing but a nest of giant ants.

The terrible explosion occurred with a violent shock when the fireball hit the anthill. At first glance I remembered the incident when the factory caught fire the night the fire star happened.

Remembering the incident frightened me, until my body shook as if it was cold. Is it possible that I was traumatized by the accident?.

“It would be very foolish if in the end I became afraid of fire.” thought I was.

The entire army clapped after Arang managed to conduct the opening attack. The Wizard Force began to be interested in developing their fire magic skills.

While the other troops did not seem to care much because they did not have the expertise to use magic. The joy they showed was due to the beautiful scenery as thousands all burned to death.

Goblone looked so proud after seeing the strength of his master, very different from his subordinate goblins who put on a pale face due to being so frightened.

Looking at the faces of the Goblins who started to whiten from being too scared, it made me feel relieved to see such a huge fire from a magic explosion was normal.

The screeneeeeeee!

The noisy sounds of tens of thousands of insects sounded so disturbing. Next the small tremor felt began to enlarge, it felt like a large number of troops were moving closer and closer.

“They came.” muttered Charcoal.

If the Avatar worm had eyes, perhaps my eyes would have been wide-eyed when I saw what was in front of me.

The earth mound had turned into a huge basin, as if a bomb had been dropped and exploded in that place. The flames raged around burning trees and the corpses of ants, making the area such a terrifying battlefield.

But it wasn't the sight that gave me goosebumps of fear and thought about running away immediately.

From the center of the crater, a black ant came out of the hole followed by thousands of other ants. The insects came out continuously like a sewer drain.

“Arang, did you really fight that many ants last night?.” my question in panic.

{Hemm. But the amount may be a little more} reply Charcoal.

“You are sure the amount is only ‘Sittle’ more?.”

I hesitated a little with the charcoal explanation after seeing the crater from the previous explosion begin to be filled to the brim with black ants.

“Yes, it was just a little bit more.” he said as he returned using the same magic.

The crater is like a bowl filled with ants in confusion. The ants continue to guard around the nest, as well as find out the cause of the explosion that caused the outside of their nest to be destroyed.

The air became hotter, as if the sun had split in two.

Realizing the existence of a giant fireball makes the ants aware if the cause of the destruction of their nest is the result of the same fireball. It could be evidenced by the burning condition of the nest and the huge basin as if a huge explosion had occurred.

Not wanting the same attack to be dropped back into the nest, the army of ants immediately stormed the hill we were in.

“How can they know?.” I said curiously when I saw the ants heading towards us.

The insects seemed to know that the giant fireball was the result of the magic of someone who was sheltering on a hill.

The number of ants cannot be underestimated. The angry insects kept popping nonstop from the nest, they looked like overflowing water.

Seeing the number of opponents I had to face gave me horrified goosebumps. But on the contrary, there was not the slightest trace of fear in our troops, for all of them had prepared for battle.

Charcoal deliberately gathers his entire army on the cliff because his plan to face the mutant ants is to use a defensive strategy.

Countless ants started crawling up the cliff, so Arang ordered the Wizards to attack.

Explosion after explosion occurred, in a short time thousands of ants were burned by the Fireball magic of the wizards which was magic with area damage. But all that is not enough. The number of ants seems to have no limit, they keep popping up, making the distance between us and the ants closer.

“This will give us a little time.”

After saying that Arang again lowered his hand which was a sign that the small sun above our heads would be dropped. All the ants were silent for a moment as a huge fireball started to descend from the sky.

Until everything panics once their home gets an attack a second time. The explosion this time was as powerful as the first, but the number of casualties was much higher as the ants gathered around their nest.

The ants get more aggressive after a second attack from Arang destroys the house and tens of thousands of their brothers fall victim. Despite getting the attack they got back up then continued the attack with the condition of the destroyed body.

The ants are like zombies that do not feel pain.

{They are in Frezie} mode said Arang who re-reads my mind illegally.

Frezie mode is the phase where a person is so angry that it drives him crazy. In this phase the sufferer will not care about what happens to his body. The nerves of pain seemed to have died because the only thing they could think of and feel was a rampage.

“This cliff will become a hill, then change again into a mountain.”

There was no fear visible on the wizard's face. He actually looks like he is nostalgic when he sees an army of ants who want to eat him alive.

“This view reminds me of the last moments of being a messenger of Dewa.”

“You were killed by an army of ants?.”

“Ahahaha, no. But the way those ants crawl up the cliff is just like the demons trying to crawl out of the crack of hell.”

Arang's reply indirectly told me that he was killed while visiting the demon army. His death could also be interpreted as the end of his fiber as a messenger of God.

I am very interested to know the life of Arang first, but at this time I must be able to survive the attacks of the ants who tried to take revenge.

The ant army is getting closer, less than a minute they will reach the top of the cliff. But before that Arang immediately continued his plan to the second phase, the phase where I will play an important role.
