60. The enemy is too strong

Countless winged ants were flying like black blurs that covered the horizon. An ant colony air force comes in preparing to deliver an attack.

“At last something fun came, I was bored to continue to survive behind the walls of the fortress.” said Arang who still did not lose his smile even though the number of enemy troops was so large.

‘I wonder how he will handle this.’

A very common question on the minds of every one of our troops, even I myself think the same thing. How would he handle so many flying troops?.

But unexpectedly the plan was very simple, even though I did not like the plan this time.

It was only ten minutes of time that we had before the army of ants flew all the way to where we were. In such a short time we had so much to do, the attacks from the ants who were still trying to climb the cliff greatly disrupted our preparations.

“I did not expect the war with these insects to be so tiring.” said Arang after seeing the preparation of his plan was finally completed.

“You can say that easily, while I am the most disadvantaged here.” reply me.

“This is an investment, if everything works out you will get your body back.”

“Ugh, even so... my snack...”

Our brief conversation came to a halt when the master Builder informed him that the flying vehicle he had built had been completed, hearing that Arang immediately deployed his troops to take off because he did not want the entire sky to be overrun by the insects.

A ship made of wooden beams flew using the help of 6 air Baloons. The flying ship capable of carrying 50 troops was filled by the Wizard, Archer and Healer.

Meanwhile, Goblin troops led by Goblone protect the aircraft using a hoverboard.

Considering all the precious stone snacks I saved were forced to spend to buy dozens of flying tools it made me unable to bear to cry.

“It is better that they do not spoil that expensive item, or I will become very angry.”

***

A white-robed figure stood at the bow of the ship that floated in the sky. His gaze was fixed on the black clouds that were none other than a group of flying ants in large numbers.

A smile was scratched on her lips, as if she was about to do something pleasant.

With one flick of his hand made the white robe he was wearing loosely reveal a woman with a pair of wings on her back.

The light shining from his skin made the figure to be misunderstood as an angel. He carried a spear and a large shield, then his body was equipped with light armor for endurance but as if it would not reduce agility.

“Heaven Protection!.”

Charcoal, which pervades the body of a Healer, uses light magic to create protection around the flying ship.

After making sure the protection magic was working, charcoal immediately flew out using his wings against the enemy forces, seeing that Goblone and the Goblin army were following from behind.

It is said the dark sky at night makes the shining light of the Healer's body a target for insects. But that was precisely what Arang expected.

When the entire enemy force is focused on it, the Goblones will be easier to attack from behind with less risk.

Charcoal seemed to have realized if the battle would be like this, it was evident from the equipment he brought more inclined to defense.

‘He has prepared everything. A veteran is different.’

I kept watching the woman above who looked so amazing. Each swing of the spear from Charcoal emitted waves of light, knocking down dozens of flying ants in each of its attacks.

The Goblin army also contributed in a battle that could not be underestimated. Following Goblone's coordination, the Goblin army flew slowly reducing the number of enemy troops.

Insect corpses fell from the sky, but their numbers were still too large. Slowly the Charcoal army was pushed back, until the sky became so dark.

Magic explosions and arrow shots protected the flying ship. Charcoal shir shields previously made today are impenetrable by insects, making the situation in the ship still safe.

But surely such circumstances will not last long, we have to find solutions to circumstances that could become increasingly dangerous.

{Number of ants is beyond estimate, this is something unexpected}

Arang contacted me via telepathy. He complained about the seemingly endless number of ants.

{As if their Queen has the ability to lay eggs indefinitely}

Although the circumstances seemed unfavorable to us, but I did not feel the slightest worry from the voice of Charcoal. It made me wonder where the confidence he had came from.

“Then how, do we need to make a withdrawal?.”

{Withdrawal? You must be kidding, we are in the best place to train the troops to make them stronger}

I could not understand Arang's path of thought at all, although I knew that if it won the mutated creatures would evolve if they fought with other monsters, but wouldn't what they did be in vain if they were all killed?.

{Actually I don't want to depend on your strength, but the current state of affairs is out of control}

Ah, my feelings are getting bad. The direction of Arang's conversation sounded like before, as he asked me to sell all the precious stones I had saved to buy dozens of Hoverboards.

{This time is different from the previous} he said hurriedly, he must have read my mind without permission again.

{I won't ask you to sell noble new backup, at least for now}

‘For now.’ does that mean he intends to do that next time?.

“Then what do you want me to do?.”

Charcoal did not immediately give an answer, he just stared at the shield that protected the entire flying ship was now covered in insects. Soon the magic shield will be destroyed.

{I want you to break through}

Prangs! The sound of shattering signified the shield had been destroyed, making thousands of giant ants flood the inside of the shield.

“It is very difficult to calm this fight.”

Charcoal gives Goblone orders to prepare to withdraw. Among all his troops, the Goblins under the command of Goblone were the most noticed Arang.

That was because the troops were not troops that could be made in the Barracks, so their loss was a huge loss.

“Do not worry about others, the safety of your troops is the most important.” said Arang to Goblone, Hob goblin was nodding firmly in response.

The leader of the Arang army again saw the battlefield, his troops tried to hold off the insects but one by one they were killed. The deck of the flying ship that was originally filled with Wizards and Archers, was now becoming muddy littered with a purple-colored liquid.

“If the troops of Barracks are genuine creatures, of course the scenery on the deck will be much more terrible.”

When the last wizard fell, the insects that were no longer blocked immediately charged towards Arang. Goblone was about to order his troops to protect his master, but Arang immediately recalled his previous plan.

“This body (Healer) is not important. Unlike you, you have to stay alive.”

Charcoal's words surprised Goblone. Never had he expected that a creature that was even weaker than a Goblin assassin like himself would be so appreciated by his master.

Whereas before he thought if the Goblin army was weak he brought would only be bait and meat shield.

But Goblone's thinking was wrong, and it changed his view of Charcoal to a higher level.
