20. Ethan Is Unconscious

Ethan and Jacob had hidden the bodies of the werewolves and cleared all traces in the battleground. After completing the task, they return to the nightclub where Bella and her friends are still.

Bella and her friends seem to be heavily intoxicated and unaware of what has happened outside the club. They were engrossed in dancing and laughing, seeming to have forgotten about the dangerous situation they had just experienced. Ethan just sat there waiting for them and wanted to go home soon. Ethan feels no longer need to linger at the club tonight because he has enough information about the club tonight.

Ethan, who wants to go home, breaks his intention because he now sees Bella sitting on a chair, closing her eyes. Shopia and Daniel turned out without permission to go home first leaving Bella alone. Ethan tries to take care of her by giving her water and trying to make her more comfortable, Bella still seems very drunk and unstable. He sat on a chair with his head drooping, his eyes soft, and his mouth open.

Suddenly, without any warning, Bella jumps out of the chair and hugs Ethan aggressively. This sudden movement almost made Ethan fall out of his chair. Bella hugged him tightly, as if seeking support and comfort.

"Bella, calm down" whispered Ethan gently, trying to release Bella's aggressive embrace. However, Bella held on tight and even embraced it more strongly. His glaring gaze turned into an intense gaze, and he began to speak in a stalled voice.

"Rudi, I miss you" he hissed in an emotional tone. "I miss you so much. Don't leave me again."

Ethan is very confused by Bella's sudden reaction. He doesn't know how to respond. What's more, the situation at the nightclub is not very suitable to talk about personal feelings.

"Bella, this is not the right time" Ethan said gently, trying to let go of Bella's embrace again. However, Bella did not move and still hugged him tightly.

Ethan tries hard to explain to Bella that she is not Rudi, but her efforts seem to be in vain. The half-conscious Bella kept hugging him tightly and seemed to not understand his explanation. Bella's pretty eyes kept staring at Ethan, and she still called him by the wrong name.

Ethan is getting confused. He has no idea who Rudi is and what his relationship with Bella is. Is Rudi Bella's boyfriend? Is Bella feeling really shaken because Rudi left her? All these questions come to Ethan's mind, but the situation does not allow him to dig any deeper.

"Jacob, I'm going first. I have to take my friend home." Ethan says goodbye to Jacob, who stands at the exit and greets Bella. Right now, the most important thing is to bring Bella home safely. It's impossible as a man Ethan left Bella alone.

Jacob nodded, while Ethan tried carefully to bring the drunk Bella back to the car. Bella keeps hugging Ethan the whole way, and the words she keeps saying are about missing Rudi.

"Bella, where's your home address? I'll take you home." Ethan asks Bella who he put in Bella's car.

"Rudi, I don't want to go home. I want you to take me home to your house." Bella answered while closing her eyes on the back of the passenger seat.

"I'm not Rudi. I'm Ethan and we just got to know each other. I can't take you home. Just give me your home address and I'll drive you home!" Ethan wears Bella's seat belt and sits in the driver's seat.

There was no answer from Bella, instead sounding a soft snoring from Bella who had fallen asleep. Ethan tries to shake Bella's hand in order to wake up but Bella stays silent. Apparently Bella was too drunk to really sleep unconscious.

"Ah, fuck! Why is Bella unconscious?" Ethan swore in his heart. Ethan feels very troubled to have to take care of Bella. Ethan is very uncomfortable taking Bella home. They were not a couple and had only met once.

With no other choice, Ethan takes Bella home because she has no other destination. Upon reaching home, Ethan holds Bella in his arms and lies in bed, trying to keep her comfortable. Ethan still feels like he wants to know more about Rudi and why the name means so much to Bella, but he knows right now, it's not a priority and it's Bella's personal business. Ethan doesn't want to interfere in other people's personal affairs.

That night, when Bella finally falls asleep quietly, Ethan sits in the living room. Ethan realizes that his mission at the nightclub has become more complicated. Ethan eventually discovers another werewolf network hostile to Vincent's network. Ethan sends a message to his unit reporting this.

Ethan sits back on the couch to unwind after the shower. Without realizing his body muscles had loosened, his breathing slowed down. Ethan fell asleep without even having time to wear a top. Only shorts are what he wears. His breathing rhythm was very deep signifying his extremely exhausted body.

Sunlight enters between the curtains of Ethan's apartment window. Ethan's originally dimly lit apartment room became bright. Ethan suddenly awakens with a terrible pain in his head. His throat was also very thirsty. Ethan was unable to stand because his head felt spinning. Every time he tried to stand up, he always fell back.

Ethan knew this was the moment he needed a serum injection to control his transformation into a perfect werewolf. The pain came too soon, not as usual. The schedule he needs for the serum is getting shorter. Ethan crawled to the medicine that was in the drawer next to his bed.

'PRAAANG'S'

The sound of a flower vase breaking.

The flower vase on the small cupboard next to Ethan's bed fell over as he tried to pull the drawer inside the cupboard. Ethan doesn't care about it and keeps trying to open that drawer that feels hard to open.

"AAAAHHH, who are you?" Bella who suddenly woke up immediately screamed to hear the flower vase beside her bed breaking apart. Bella reflexively pulled the blanket to cover her body which was only wrapped in sexy mini dress.

"Bella, don't scream! I'm Ethan who drove you from the club last night when you were drunk unconscious." Ethan introduces himself to Bella. Ethan said as he lowered his face so that his golden-turned eyeballs would not scare Bella. Ethan doesn't want Bella to keep yelling and inviting people to his apartment.

Ethan continues his efforts in opening the closet drawer without caring about Bella who is no longer shouting. Ethan seemed to have a hard time opening it.

Bella who initially thought Ethan was the one who was about to get into bed and harass him looked at Ethan in astonishment. Ethan's behavior is weird. Ethan is like a kid who can't unlock a closet drawer.

Bella's consciousness and memory begin to recover. He begins to recognize Ethan who accompanies him inside the nightclub. Bella gets out of bed and stands up to Ethan from behind.

"Ethan, the key is unlocked first!" Bella bows behind Ethan who is crouching to unlock the drawer that is still in the hole.

Bella's neck is closing in on Ethan's nose. Ethan's heart rate is beating faster. The smell of fresh blood and the bulge of blood vessels in Bella's neck strongly smelled in Ethan's very sensitive nose. Ethan felt the canines in his mouth move slowly.

Just finished Bella helps Ethan in unlocking, Ethan immediately brushes off Bella's hand. "Don't come any closer! Don't come near me!" Ethan looked up and widened his eyes at Bella, who was bowing.

"Ethan why are you?" Bella jumps to the back in shock with Ethan's rebuke. Bella glimpses Ethan's golden eyes, Ethan's long blackened fingernails and Ethan's blood-thinning nose. Bella is a little scared but also curious about what has happened to Ethan.

Ethan just kept quiet and didn't touch Bella. Ethan quickly tied his left arm with a rope that was inside the drawer. Ethan immediately took out a syringe and injected the serum into a vein in his arm. Ethan slowly and grimaced in pain unbinding the cloth rope on his arm. The serum starts to travel through the blood vessels.

Ethan was lying on the floor not strong manahan pain throughout his body. This time Ethan felt his body reject the serum he had injected. Ethan's blood was boiling in the veins. The pain in his head became even more. Ethan's nose continues to bleed and Ethan is unconscious lying helpless on the floor.
