9. Miss Amelia Shopping

During Miss Amelia's shopping spree, Ethan stays nearby, noticing any suspicious moves. He made sure that Miss Amelia remained safe and protected.

Although this task is not the most enjoyable for him, Ethan tries to do it with dedication and professionalism. He remembered his main purpose as a personal bodyguard, which was to best protect Miss Amelia.

After an hour and a half had passed, Miss Amelia still continued to shop. Ethan helps carry a lot of groceries constantly moving around the store.

Ethan decides to give Miss Amelia reasonable advice, even though she knows Miss Amelia might not take it well. She wanted to help Miss Amelia shop more efficiently and save both of them time and energy.

Ethan: "Miss Amelia, maybe I can give you some advice. I see that the items you buy in this store are almost the same as those in other stores. In addition, the price difference in other stores is also very little. We don't need to go to another store."

Miss Amelia heard Ethan's suggestion with a displeased expression. She doesn't want to hear advice from Ethan, especially related to finances or shopping decisions.

Miss Amelia: "Who asked for your opinion? Do you think you are an expert in shopping? I know what I'm doing! I don't need your advice! So just follow my instructions well!"

Ethan is shocked by Miss Amelia's angry reaction. He tries to explain that his goal is to help and does not intend to break the boundaries of his work.

Ethan: "Sorry, Miss Amelia, I'm just trying to give you advice that I feel can help. My goal is to save both our time and energy. I understand that you have your own preferences, but I think we can consider other options for our common good."

Miss Amelia cuts Ethan's words firmly, expressing even more displeasure.

Miss Amelia: "Never think that you can tell me what to do! You're just a bodyguard hired to protect me, not a shopping advisor! So, just follow my instructions well or you will get serious consequences!"

Ethan understands that Miss Amelia won't listen to his argument. He nodded obediently, though he felt a little disappointed that his efforts to help were not appreciated.

Ethan: "Well, Miss Amelia. As you said. I'll follow your instructions well."

Ethan chooses to close the topic, because he knows that continuing the conversation will only make the situation worse. He focuses his mind on his main task, which is to maintain the safety and security of Miss Amelia.

However, in her heart, Ethan feels a little disappointed and frustrated that her efforts to help Miss Amelia are not appreciated. He reminds himself to stay professional and do his job well, although it is difficult to get rid of the disappointment.

Miss Amelia paused for a moment to look at the men's clothing store. He then goes in there followed by Ethan. Ethan is reluctant to question this even though it is awkward for him that a woman enters a men's clothing store.

"Here you take this shirt! I'll pick another one first."

Miss Amelia gave Ethan some clothes.

Ethan can only obey the orders of his superiors. A pile of clothes he held in both hands. She just stood quietly in the middle of the store waiting for Miss Amelia who was picky about clothes. While Miss Amelia keeps walking around, occasionally comes up to Ethan and puts the clothes she likes on Ethan's arm. Ethan feels like a coat hanger with a lot of clothes hanging.

"Ethan why shut up? We're trying on all those clothes now! I want to see how it looks!"

Miss Amelia said to Ethan who had been standing there just now.

Ethan is surprised to find that Miss Amelia also wants to buy him clothes. She feels a bit awkward because her job as a bodyguard is to focus on Miss Amelia's safety, not trying on clothes.

Ethan: "Sorry, Miss Amelia, but I think my job has more to do with keeping your safety and security than trying on clothes."

Miss Amelia looked at Ethan sharply, issuing her domineering attitude.

Miss Amelia: "Have you refused a request from your employer? Don't forget, you are my personal bodyguard and must obey the instructions I give you. Now, try on this shirt or there are consequences that you have to face!"

Ethan feels pinched and does not want to cause any further problems. Though uncomfortable with the situation, she decides to comply with Miss Amelia's request in order to maintain their professional relationship.

Ethan: "Well, Miss Amelia. I'll try it."

Ethan brings all the clothes Miss Amelia gave him and goes to the changing room provided by the store. She put on the shirt quickly, then came out to show her appearance to Miss Amelia.

Miss Amelia looks at Ethan critically, giving a sharp look at every detail of the clothes she wears.

Miss Amelia: "Hmm, not bad. But there seems to be some size that does not fit. Try another dress. I want to see better."

Ethan feels increasingly uncomfortable with the situation, but he tries to keep his composure and obligations as a personal bodyguard.

Ethan: "But, Miss Amelia, is there nothing else more important right now? We can continue with other groceries or evaluate the tasks in the office that need to be done."

Miss Amelia: "What makes you think that you have the right to determine what is more important? Remember, you are a bodyguard, not my speaker or advisor. Now, try the other clothes!"

Ethan is distressed by Miss Amelia's pressure. Although her heart was not happy, she knew that she had to comply with Miss Amelia's request in order to maintain their professionalism and working relationship.

Ethan picks up another dress chosen by Miss Amelia and goes to the wardrobe once again. Inwardly, he hoped that this would be the last trial. Ethan kept trying one by one all the clothes he was holding. Fortunately here Ethan is a soldier who is used to changing clothes quickly to shorten the time. Ethan was completely exhausted physically and mentally so tried all the clothes.

"Ethan why are you pouting so? How did you on your first day of work already like that?! I'm the one who walked more here and there just haven't been tired even though you were just standing still and even tired like that."

Miss Amelia looks unhappy with Ethan's already very sullen look.

"Eh, no I'm not tired anyway."

Ethan smiled, though his smile was too forced.

"This packer!"

Miss Amelia shows a smash of clothes on Ethan's right hand.

The waiter immediately took the clothes in Ethan's hands. The clothes were put in a shopping bag and taken to the cashier.

"Ethan, as long as you know yes, that makes our shopping this time too long yes because buying you clothes. It's been two hours on its own. When I bought clothes for myself only 1.5 hours."

Miss Amelia said as she looked at her watch.

"I'm sorry, Miss Amelia, but I think these clothes you bought for your brother or friend, not for me. I've worn work clothes that fit my role as your personal bodyguard. I don't need a new shirt."

When Ethan realizes that the clothes are actually meant for him, he is shocked.

Miss Amelia snorted in annoyance, her sharp gaze staring at Ethan cynically.

"The model of the clothes you wear is too old-fashioned and does not fit the image of my modern company. Do you want to look like an old bodyguard? You have to update your appearance! The shirt that the lowest employee in my company wears is still nicer than the one you're wearing now. So don't think that you can avoid it!"

Ethan is upset and humiliated by Miss Amelia's comments. However, he also realized that fighting back or resisting again would only worsen the situation. With a heavy heart, she decided to comply with Miss Amelia's request, although it was not entirely convincing.

"Now you wear a set of these clothes. Change the clothes you are wearing right now!"

Miss Amelia gave me a set of clothes that she had chosen to wear right now.

"All right, Miss Amelia. I will accept it but consider it my debt. I don't bring money at the moment. Later after returning home I will pay my debt."

Ethan didn't expect any of this so from home didn't bring much money.

"No need to get your money! Where does a new employee like you have this kind of money. You also live in a cheap apartment. I'm not giving you these free clothes but they'll be deducted from your paycheck next month."

Miss Amelia said curiously to Ethan.

Ethan is silent and does not continue to talk because he is ashamed to be the center of attention if he serves a debate with Miss Amelia who has spoken in a loud voice. Ethan prefers to give in and change clothes.

In Ethan's heart grumbled to realize that in the employment contract, he was paid a small salary in Miss Amelia's company, he would probably only receive a very small salary at payday.

Ethan came out of the dressing room and brought his old clothes.

Miss Amelia: "Finally! Better than before, though still far from the standard I expected. You should thank me for giving you the opportunity to correct your poor appearance."

Ethan tries to maintain his composure and professionalism despite feeling humiliated.

Ethan: "Thank you for this opportunity, Miss Amelia. I will strive to continue to improve my appearance in accordance with the standards of the company."

Miss Amelia nodded, but still looked dissatisfied with Ethan's appearance.
