Dave's Pajero car splits through the capital's crowded streets. On Sunday night at eight pm, the city streets seemed to be stuck in traffic, due to the heavy rainfall that flushed it since the afternoon. Now when the rain has subsided, it looks like vehicles are crowding traffic, making the traffic quite long.
"Zain, is there no shortcut?" dave asked, taking his eyes off the iPad in his hand for a moment.
"Sorry sir. Even if there are we also can not move backwards," replied Zain while staring at the rearview mirror where it looks behind him looked full.
Alana was still silent, sitting in the chair next to Dave. However, his gaze was directed outward where the drizzle was still flowing. The weather and traffic jammed back then opened up bitter memories for her. He still remembers when he struggled to drive his motorcycle to Edo's apartment, in order to give a surprise birthday. However, it was not Edo who was surprised that he got a much more painful surprise. His girlfriend cheated on him with her best friend, even making love to each other. It was not only that that made Alana feel pain, the words of Tisa that so scratched her heart. When the woman said there would be no man with her because her mother had a mental illness. Given that, Alana became impatient to show Tisa. If this he could have had a much more handsome, and well-established man than Edo. Although all is limited to a contract marriage, whatever it is that surely he can take revenge on the woman, to make his heart feel satisfied. Now Alana clenched both her hands furiously.
Dave turned off his iPad to save it, then turned to Alana who had been looking outwards. As he wanted to open his mouth, his eyes were fixed on Alana's hands that seemed clenched on the chair. The man suspected that there was something the woman was thinking, to the point of making her heart feel angry.
"Is the view outside much more beautiful, Alana?" dave's question breaks Alana's daydream.
Alana flinched then turned her head towards Dave. "Emm that. I just saw traffic outside. It seems that the rain is back in the rain," she said, trying to behave normally.
Dave nodded, knowing the woman was lying. "Oh I think you're daydreaming about your ex" Dave guessed. "Perhaps you have sweet memories with him in rainy weather like this" he continued.
Zain would occasionally glance back through the rearview mirror of his car. Watching the chatter of both.
Alana smiled hearing that. "For what? Even a thousand sweet memories will disappear, if any of our loved ones create bad memories" said Alana hit Dave. I don't know he suddenly does not like if Dave is too concerned about his past, even though he himself is struggling to forget it.
"I understand" said Dave.
Alana flapped her hand on the side of her face.
"Is it hot?" ask Dave.
Alana nodded. "Little bit. I feel a little sultry."
"It seems like nature doesn't allow us to go to the main mansion either" Dave said.
"But, Mr. Jonas has been calling constantly. He said everyone had gathered, sir" replied Zain. Who has since used earphones in his ear, to answer calls automatically.
"Goodoo. Because that's what I want!" dave said casually.
"Master, are you sure?" ask Zain again.
"Of course!" his mouth turned to Alana who seemed indifferent to the chatter of the two. "Are you ready, Alana?"
"Yes Dave. I was ready for that." Alana answered while landing her back on the chair.
Dave nodded, momentarily staring at Alana's appearance which tonight looked stunning in a pliable black dress, following her posture.
The car entered a fairly quiet yard area, heading towards the main mansion. There are no houses there, all the way filled with spruce trees that only highlighted the lights.
A few moments it appeared that the car stopped right at the black-colored gate that soared so high. After the inspection, the new car is allowed to enter.
The distance from the gate to the front yard also seemed to feel so far away. Alana to her astonishment, she thought that if she was asked to stay there, she would quickly be skinny imagining having to walk from the gate to the mansion.
Arriving in front, Alana again gazed in amazement at the magnificent building that Dave said was the main mansion. However, to Alana it was like a palace. Guards were lined up, and eight tall pillars adorned the front of the building.
"You nervous Alana?" ask Dave when he got out of the car.
The woman turned to Dave, and nodded. "Yes. We go back, yes. I suddenly became insecure, my feelings were not good" Alana said.
