"Sign here, sir," said Mrs Merry replacing Mr. Christ's duties.

"Would you like to come here?" evelyn asked coldly.

Steve took a breath. "Ah what a pity, when my heart is happy today and I would love to treat you to dinner" replied Steve.

"Why are you happy?" ask Evelyn.

"Nothing matters, it's just that I've been elevated today. And I'm so happy" said Steve.

Evelyn smiled bitterly. "It's great that you can rise to office, even though as far as I know you've only worked for over a month in Opa company" he replied.

"It's thanks to my hard work Eve, nothing is impossible. You won't understand how I struggle anyway" Steve smiled proudly and looked at Evelyn.

"What I don't understand Steve, are you hiding something from me?" sue Evelyn with suspicion.

"Eve baby, why does your tone speak like that. I love you so much, I may hide something from you." Steve grabbed Evelyn's hands and held them. Then kissed the back of his hand.

Evelyn smiled faintly. "Good then, but I still don't understand. How did you get that high post in an instant?" his pedicab.

"I told you, I got that job with hard work. My boss saw my work performance drastically improved, so he without hesitation appointed me to fill the position" replied Steve composing.

Though what happened was, he himself asked the mother to be placed in a high position in the company.

"Well, assume I believe you" Evelyn said, though she did not fully believe.

"Have not been discussed again. Eve, I have a request for you." Steve looked seriously at Evelyn.

"What request?" ask Evelyn.

"Stop working at the sister-in-law company, because I don't like to see you get too close to her" Steve replies.

"Sorry Steve, I can't. I told you before, that I've been under contract with him" Evelyn refused.

"Don't worry about that contract, Eve, with my new job. I can pay for all the damages that will come if you cancel that deal" Steve said.

Evelyn shook her head. "No Steve, I don't want to bother you or anyone else."

"I'm not someone else, I'm your fiancee. Whatever I'm gonna do for you, Eve," persuaded Steve.

"Thank you Steve, maybe I'll think about it again. But now can you leave me alone? I have to go to bed early, because I'll take turns with Aunt Maureen looking after Opa later that night" Evelyn replied.

"Alright then, I hope you reconsider my words" said Steve.

Evelyn smiled. "That's for sure" he replied and escorted Steve out of the hospital.
