Ep.13 - Compliments suck

It was not strange that all eyes were on Edelweis. Her beautiful parasites, her attractive body, her appearance were always different from the others. Especially when the woman passed by, the smell of expensive perfume she used spread quickly to everyone's sense of smell. So if Edelweis is the center of attention, yes, it is common.

Edelweis picked a table by the window, so he could see some people passing by. A servant came, placed the menu book in front of Edelweis. He was picky, what lunch menu would he choose this time.

After ordering food, Edelweis checked his phone, there was a message Emmeline had sent him about how he was doing at the moment and why he had not been home. He smiled widely, instead of replying to the message, Edelweis just pressed the phone button. He called Emmeline, his mother-in-law.

Edelweis clucked in annoyance when what they said was true. All the chairs and tables are full by visitors, understand this is lunch hour.

Edelweis did not like Adinda and Sinta who lately often refer to him, as if they were trying to get close to him. He doesn't want to be friends with them, it seems.

Shortly after, Adinda and Sinta's order came they enjoyed it while occasionally chatting ria, while Edelweis just kept quiet and listened to it lazily.

Edelweis snorted angrily, he stood up and pulled his bag roughly then left behind Adinda and Sinta who looked at each other and blamed each other.

Edelweis is waiting for the elevator to open, he's going back to his desk. However, when the elevator opens showing Retha there makes the two become silent bumbling.

If Edelweis undoes his intention to get into the elevator, Retha could have thought if she lost or did not have the courage to meet Retna. So, he decided to stay in the elevator which is now only filled by the two of them.

Edelweis with his haughty face, Retha with his anxious and clumsy face. For some reason, it feels like this elevator is moving slowly, as well as with time. The cold atmosphere is felt now.

“Mbak Edel, how are you?”

Edelweis's eyeballs rose upwards, lazy to hear Retha's question. “According to you, if I'm here what does that mean?” chairman Edelweis, his face looks more and more sour.

Retha smiled clumsily, she scratched her non-itchy bend. Never changed the attitude of Edelweis from the past until now, still cold and ketus, especially on Retha.

Retha remembered something, she immediately took something from her bag. With a confident smile, she held out an envelope that was an exclusive ticket to the premiere of her latest feature film.

Jonathan looked at Retha sitting next to him, never did he not smile at her. “That should thank you, I. Thanks, yes you have bothered to come to the office just to anterin lunch for me.”

Retha chuckles, “Gak bothered. All right I drive to you, I happen to cook quite a lot.”

“What are you not tired of? Go home shooting in the morning, sleep tight, keep cooking, to my office again. And, now you want to shoot again.”

Retha immediately opened the car door, just as she was about to get out but Jonathan's voice came back to stop her.

Jonathan walks into his apartment, he goes straight to the freezer and picks up a bottle of tonic iso drink, takes it towards the pantry table and gulps it down there.

Jonathan immediately pulls out his phone, checking the message he sent to Retha earlier regarding her who had just arrived at the apartment. One pap of photos sent by Retha made Jonathan chuckle.

Jonathan looked up, silent immediately when he saw Edelweis in his usual nightgown suit which was always made of satin.

Jonathan ignored Edelweis, intending to leave.
