Ep. 18 - Jonathan Sick

“Newly this time Mama feels happy to hear the gossip-gossip.”

Edelweis who was enjoying his steak looked up, “Because why, Mam?” edelweis asked, he smiled wryly. He rarely saw gossip, maybe only a handful of news that crossed his social media.

Emmeline gulped down her drink, then put it back on the table. “Unfortunately you don't know, what news is hot lately?” emmeline asked, he raised his eyebrows next to her.

Edelweis. “Don't know, Mam. What the hell is he? I became curious, what news makes Mama so this exited.”

Not immediately answering, Emmeline actually pulled out her phone and immediately showed something to Edelweis who immediately rounded his eyes to see the photo shown by her father-in-law.

“Mam?”

“Sweet really, not the hell?” Emmeline smiled widely, she was anxious to see the photo on her phone. “Mama did not expect, if Jo can be as sweet as you.”

Edelweis fell silent, so he thought back to the incident that he and Jonathan were stuck in the elevator that day. The photo Emmeline showed her showed several portraits of herself as well as Jonathan there.

“Know, don't you love? Mama was almost crazy when she found out you were stuck in the elevator when you got home from work. It feels like you want to be angry with Papa because it could be hiring people to install lifts that can be damaged.” However, Emmeline smiled knots afterwards. “But, when you found out that you were stuck together with Jo there. Edelweis was silent for a moment. What her mother-in-law said was true.

Edelweis and Jonathan never got along, there was no day for them to be able to talk casually or at least without the cynical tone they put out. Anyway, if they were put together there would be no peace. But, yesterday, during that elevator incident. Emmeline who saw Edelweis was silent as if she was thinking about something smiled. In his heart he hoped, may there be a miracle in the relationship of Edelweis and Jonathan.

“Serious Mom won't come in first?”

Emmeline shook her head slowly, “Next time times, yes sweety. Mama actually has an appointment after this same friend Arisan Mama.”

After Emmeline's departure, Edelweis rushed off to enter the apartment building. He immediately headed for the elevator, pressing a button to get straight to his apartment.

Unknowingly, Edelweis smiled faintly at the portrait of him and Jonathan. However, that smile he immediately lost.

The elevator door opened, Edelweis immediately attached an access card to his apartment unit and entered. A silent atmosphere immediately greeted her as she entered the unit.

Edelweis dropped his butt on the sofa, leaning back while looking at the ceiling of the room. Come to think of it, the marriage of Edelweis and Jonathan counted for almost 3 months, but there are no signs if their relationship will improve. Edelweis immediately turned his head when the apartment door opened, there was Jonathan who had just arrived. However, the frown on Edelweis' forehead instantly imprinted as he looked at Jonathan's pale face. Reflexes, he moved toward the man.

“Jo, do you hurt?”

Jonathan brushed off the hand of Edelweis who was about to touch his forehead, “What the hell lo, Del? Don't be so good with me. Anyway, I'm okay.”

“Dih, who's a good ass too. I do it because I care for you lo.”

Jonathan clucked, “Lo want to play how else anyway?”

“Means?”

Edelweis, who was enjoying the broadcast on television while enjoying his dinner, immediately snapped as his phone rang. He immediately raised the call that came from his father-in-law.

“Del, where are you now?”

“Apartment. Why Pap?”

“Jo, where is he?”

“Jo is also the same, she is in her room.”

Edelweis moved, he immediately headed for Jonathan's room. However, when he reached the front door of the man's room, his steps came to a halt. “Hm, Pap. I called matiin, yes. I'll call back later.”

Edelweis turned off the call unilaterally. He couldn't have banged Jonathan's room still with a call connected to his in-laws. Amidst Edelweis' anxiety, the woman's phone rang because of a call from her father-in-law.

“Halo, Pap.”

“Del, how? Jo—”

“Pap, this Jo turned out to be sick. She has a very high fever.”

“What? Jo, sick?”

“Iya, Pap. What is it, I have to do?”

“You calm down first. Papa's gonna call the doctor to come over there. Later Papa and Mama will also be there. Okay?”

“Iya, Pap. Soon, yes.”

While waiting for the doctor and his in-laws to arrive, Edelweis was looking for a way to help Jonathan who was sick at the moment. He searches the internet for information on what actions he should take if anyone has a fever. All the information he had got was some.

“OK, drinking water. Jo should drink water.”

Edelweis poured water into the glass, he sat down next to Jonathan and patted the man's cheeks softly. “Jo, wake up first. Lo drink, yes.” said Edelweis slowly. “Come, here I help.”

Edelweis helped Jonathan who was still half conscious to drink water.

“Lo dizzy, Jo?” Jonathan nodded.

“Sabar, yes. The doctor just came, Mama, Papa too.”

“Bentar, I take the compress water first.”

Edelweis rushed to the kitchen, he was looking for something to make a container for later. The effect of never being in the kitchen made Edelweis confused himself where to store goods. Finally, after searching various places, Edelweis found a medium-sized bowl. He immediately filled it with water.

Edelweis returned to Jonathan's room, putting the bowl on the nightstand.

“Hopefully the fever goes down, this great heat.” Edelweis murmured, he put the cloth he had dipped in the cold water on Jonathan's forehead.

Edelweis can not be separated to look at Jonathan, “If it hurts gini, Jo's face is very different. Poor look at it.”

Jonathan was still shivering violently, the man clutching firmly at the blanket that covered his body. Edelweis, who was about to justify the location of the blanket, had his hand drawn by Jonathan, tightly grasped by the man.

The doctor had just left after checking Jonathan's condition and also gave the man some medicine to take. And now there is only one Edelweis. There was no one in-law who said he was coming. Because since it was awaited, her in-laws did not come as well. Until the moment Edelweis was about to go back in, his phone rang a sign there was an incoming call from his mother-in-law.

“Halo, Mam.”

“Del, how is Jo doing?”

“Jo only has a fever, Mam. It was also checked by a doctor and already given medicine, just not yet drunk because Jo has not eaten.”

“Thank God it's just a normal fever,”

“Iya, Mam. Oh, aye. Mama's with Papa, so come here right?”

“It's not, yeah, Del. Jo's just a normal fever. Can you take care of Jonathan yourself?”

Edelweis surprised his forehead, “Self? I took care of Jo who was sick, alone?”
