Ep. 15 - Outrageous

“Yaudah Mam, Pap, we go to work first, yes.”

“Yes, you guys be careful, yeah. Remember, you guys should play here often. Mama doesn't want to know, anyway! And, for you, Jo. Don't make Mama's daughter sad, make her happy. Okay well? Because if once you make Edel sad, Mama does not hesitate to love you a lesson.”

Edelweis smiled happily to hear it, another case with Jonathan who actually snorted annoyed.

“Iya, right? We leave nih.”

“Iya... Be careful to bring the car, no need to speed.”

Jonathan just cleared his throat, he immediately drove his car away from home to the office. There was no conversation between them, only silence.

“Lo I go down in front, I do not want until people think that is not about us.”

Edelweis turned his head, he frowned. “Think of nothing? Lah, kan kan kantor yangya I tuh prospective wife lo from the past.”

“Iya and I don't want them to be more sure of what you are promoting it.”

Edelweis clucked in his heart, when in fact they were already husband and wife. “Serah.”

Jonathan's car stopped at a restaurant located not far from the office, he will drop Edelweis here.

“Yes, Jo. Really dong, my time was down here anyway? Still this far from the office.”

“Away from it anyway?” upset Jonathan, he's not finished with Edelweis

Edelweiss folded his hands in front of his chest. “Do not want! It's still a long way, males me.”

Jonathan sighed harshly, he was tired of this Edelweist attitude. Not wanting to take a headache, Jonathan returned to his car and stopped at a building not far from his office, closer to the office from the initial position of his intention to lower Edel.

“Udah, down!”

Edelweis snorted in annoyance, he twisted his body resentfully facing Jonathan. “Why not get to the office anyway? Why do you have to come down to me on the side of the road like gini?”

Again, the insults Jonathan hurled at Edelweis.

Edelweis moved his teeth irritated, “No!”

Jonathan cleared his throat, removed his seatbelt and got out of the car then circled around and stopped beside the door where Edelweis felt. Without saying much, Jonathan opened the door, removed the belt of Edelweis and pulled her out, no matter what she refused.

After that, Jonathan went back into his car, ignoring Edelweis who continuously banged on the glass of his car door.

“Jo, bucain! Jo!”

Edelweis snorted in annoyance as Jonathan's car drove past him, leaving him on the side of the road like he had no meaning for Jonathan. It does not seem to have.

“Jonathan damn!”

Edelweis clucked in annoyance, he stared at Jonathan's car departure. What made him look away was when Jonathan's car turned around, convincing him that the man did not go straight to the office.

“See, where is he trying?”

Edelweis was upset, but also curious about where Jonathan had gone to rush to find a taxi to follow where the man had gone. However, the taxi he did not get, there was Adinda who stopped in front of him with a scoopy motor driven by the woman.

“Mbak Edel, how are you still here? Going to the office, right?”

Edelweis unceasingly turned his eyes away from Jonathan's car. Without wasting any time, he went straight up to Adinda's motorbike. He didn't want to lose track.

“Buruan! Follow that car, Jo!” car

The younger brother who was surprised and unprepared for what Edelweis said, his happiness. He intended to refuse, but Edelweis first intrupts him while continuously patting his shoulders. “Yes, mbak, yes.”

This is the first time an Edelweis ride a two-wheeled vehicle, for life he never ride a motorcycle. Were it not for compulsion, perhaps Edelweis would have never rode a motorcycle in his lifetime. Too extreme according to him riding the two-wheeled vehicle, even he gripped the strong shirt worn Adinda.

“Why, stop?” edelweis asked worried when Adinda's motorbike stopped, he did not want to lose track of Jonathan.

Instead of directly answering, Adinda actually took the helmet that she stuck in front and handed it to Edelweis.

“Mbak Edel wear helmet first, let it be safe, congratulations. I don't want anything to happen to Edel because I don't wear a helmet, I wear.”

For a split second, Edelweis fell silent and felt something strange as if foreign. The attention given by Adinda, felt sincere she felt.

“Mbak,”

Edelweis jerked, “Gue can not use.”

She was surprised, but she didn't want to talk much. He immediately put the helmet on to Edelweis. “Udah, mbak. Grip, yes, mbak. We'll chase the car again Jo.”

“Iya, game. I don't want to until we lose track. Buru!”

“Iya, ibbak. Yes.”

Adinda did what the woman said, she actually followed Jonathan's car. Until finally, the car stopped in a fairly quiet park. Adinda also stopped the bike, quite far from where Jonathan is currently, the goal is so that they are not caught.

“Mbak Edel, indeed—”

My sister closed her mouth right then and there. He also took a look at Jonathan's car, just like what Edelweis is doing right now. Shortly after, someone approached Jonathan's car.

“Loh, it's Retha, mbak.” Adinda said as she saw Retha's arrival alone, then got into Jonathan's car.

Edelweis was silent for a moment, he had guessed. Jonathan went to Retha.

Already, Edelweis knew enough if his guess was true. He should be normal, but why does he not like it. Apparently, her pride was smeared because she knew the reason Jonathan dropped her off on the side of the road was the village woman.

Edelweis got off the Adinda motorbike, there happened to be a taxi passing by, Edelweis quickly stopped him. In the lyrics a glance Adinda who looks confused looks at him. “Back the office.” said Edelweis then entered the taxi and left Adinda alone who was still gawking at the departure of Edelweis with the taxi.

“Well, I'm left?”

Edelweis stopped his steps to see Adinda from afar in the midst of anger from the female superior, he quickly rushed to the Adinda Division.

“Why silence? You can't give me an excuse, can you? It's obvious. Nearly two hours late, what reason can you give? Misadventures? No way!”

“Sorry, sir.”

“You will I love SP for your outrageous delay and if later you do the same, I do not hesitate to directly—”

“Do not love SP.”

Instantly, all eyes were on Edelweis who was approaching the Adinda Division. Everything that had been busy with their respective activities, was immediately diverted because of the arrival of Edelweis as well as the words thrown by the woman.

“Mbak Edel,” murmured Adinda.

“Sorry, mom?”

Edelweis showed his haughty face, “Do not love him SP, he is late also because of me.” said Edelweis, he pointed to Adinda with his chin.

“But, mom. Terms in the company kau—”

“You dare to refute me?” cut Edelweis quickly, he raised next to his eyebrows and stared intently at Adinda's superior who immediately shook his head clumsily.

“Not so, mom means. It's just—”

“You know who I am, right?” Edelweiss began to show his power. “If until I know, he can SP or punishment in any form it's because of his mistake today. I will not remain silent, I can do anything, including giving the same punishment to you. Know?”

Without waiting, Edelweis immediately waltzed away just leaving the Adinda Division. All who were there were gawking, shocked by what an Edelweist had just done. Can not believe if an Edelweis will do so for an Adinda whose incident is only an ordinary employee.

Adinda smiled faintly staring at the departure of Edelweis, he was just as incredulous as the others. Given how Edelweis had behaved to her all this time.

“For this time, you are safe because there is a bu Edelweis. But, the next time you make the same mistake, I really won't stay silent. Know?”

Adinda nodded quickly, "Yes, sir. Thank you, yes sir. I wouldn't make the same mistake. Again, thank you, sir. Thanks though... Banget.”

“Iya, yes, already. Back work there!”

“Ready, boss!”

“Mbak Edel!”

Edelweis ignored Adinda who called him, he still stepped without caring about Adinda who had even now run after her steps.

“Mbak Edel, wait a minute.”

Edelweis stopped in the lobby to wait for the online taxi to arrive, and Adinda managed to catch up with him and stopped beside him.

Adinda smiled widely, “Mbak Edel, thank you for helping me. I'm so grateful there was mbak, do not know again if it turns out I got SP today, could mess up my life mbak.”

“Lebay,”

“Ih, not mbak. Seriously, I'm really grateful to you for your kindness today. And, as a thank you to me, these are brownies for mbak. I happened to make this myself.”

Edelweis was indifferent, he did not care about the brownies that Adinda meant. “Not need.”

“No papa, mbak. I'm sincere, I'm good with me.”

Edelweis rolled his eyes lazily, he looked at Adinda. “Seriously you consider what I'm doing a favor? You realize, you are late also because of who. I just don't want you later same bucket of people because of what we saw this morning.”

Adinda shook her head fast, “No, mbak. I don't think so. Besides, I'm not a typical gossip guy, I don't think so. What we saw this morning was enough for me, just as God knows. I won't tell anyone without permission from mbak.”

“Serah.”

Taxis order Edelweis until, stop right in front of them. Edelweis stepped up, already about to enter but Adinda again stopped him.

“This mbak bring, it's up to you. But, I wish I could eat this brownie. Again, thank you for helping me out. I go first.”

Edelweis was silent, staring at the lunchbox in his hand containing brownies made by Adinda and the owner who had now sauntered away leaving Edelweis.

Edelweis stared intently at Jonathan when the man arrived at the apartment and the one who was stared at just stared flat and sauntered away as if the existence of Edelweis was not seen by him.

Edelweis moved, pulling quickly Jonathan's hand which immediately threw out his hand.

“What the hell is lo?” upset Jonathan.

“Bold her you go downin me on the side of the road just for the sake of that village chick! Do you think what you're doing is good? Da? No, Jo!”

“Know where lo?”

“Important I know from where. What is clear, I will report this all the same Mama, Papa let lo rasain own consequences. How dare you come down on me for the sake of that village! What a good him he is!” angry Edelweis.

Edelweis really felt his pride fall, he felt inferior for the actions Jonathan had taken this morning.

“Again, you ask what's good about Retha?”

“Dia, much better than lo. He's independent, he's a hard worker, he's not spoiled, he's not arrogant and most importantly he knows what manners are. And if you still do not understand what I am talking about, then the short answer is that his attitude of one hundred and eighty degrees is much different from yours. Know?”

Edelweis gripped his fingers tightly, holding his anger at Jonathan.

“Gue wrong what the hell is the same lo? Why do you always want me to be like that village girl? You even kept me low on the severity. Tell me, my fault what same lo!?”

“Lo himself asked, so I am happy to answer your question. And, if you ask what is your mistake? The answer is simple, you are present in my life, it is your fault. For what the hell, you have to be in my life? Come to my family, stay with us, this is it, you even take it all and always act like you are the only child in the house, as if you are family there. Edelweis instantly fell silent for a moment, staring at him expressionlessly Jonathan this time. “Lo thought, I want to go into your life. You think, I volunteered when I knew that I had to stay with you and your family? You think it's easy for me to adapt to my new life? Do you think it's easy to live without parents, without family? Yes?”

“Jo! Even I never expected let alone think should live with you and your family. Everything's sudden, Jo. Everything just happens. And, if I may hope,” Edelweis again felt tight when remembering the events of that day, as hard as he could hold his cry. “Gue also does not want, the day it happened.”

Jonathan was immediately speechless because of Edelweis, his brain turned back on that day.

Edelweis hurried to turn around, stepping away towards his room with tears slowly beginning to drip from his eyes. Jonathan's words this time really hurt him, not only hurt but also opened a bad sheet for Edelweis for the fateful incident that befell his family.
