Ep.14 - Lamp Matters

They are currently enjoying dinner together. The dishes were arranged nicely on the table. Papa sitting in the middle seat, Mama sitting in front of Edelweis while Edelweis sitting side by side with Jonathan.

Edelweis immediately laid down his body beside Jonathan, among them were two bolsters as a barrier. He pulled the blanket and pressed it against his body.

“Jo, do not turn off the lights.” said Edelweis when Jonathan turned off the room lights and left only a sleeping lamp that even the lighting is dim, more dark it becomes. “Gue can't sleep if the light is off.”

Edelweis won. The room was left as bright as what Edelweis wanted. They ended up sleeping with each other on their backs.

Jonathan was disturbed in his sleep by the sound of crying and movement in his bed. He opened his eyes slowly, turning to Edelweis as he got up.

“Please, dark.... Please..”

“Mami, Papi... Dark, it's dark..”.

“Del..”

Jonathan immediately turned on the lights, the room that was once pitch dark was now bright. Indeed, the room lamp was turned on, but because Jonathan could not sleep, finally when Edelweis fell asleep he turned off the lamp.

“Del... Build, wake.”

Jonathan tried to wake Edelweis from his uncomfortable sleep, shaking Edelweis' body slowly.

“Mami, Papi, dark, dark.”

“Del, not dark. Hey, wake up, wake up, wake up.”

Edelweis woke up, he was silent for a moment. His breathing hunted intensely, stared at Jonathan who was also staring at him even in this close distance. So quickly, Edelweis pushed Jonathan away from him.

Edelweis fell silent, he recalled back with the nightmare he had just experienced. Staring at his sharp Jonathan, he re-spreads his body and pulls the blanket to cover his chest then turns his back to Jonathan.

“Gue please same lo. Don't turn off the lights if you don't want to sleep to disturb.”
