“You are very different now,” said Wang Mingbao. “You are like a hermit monk.”
“You don't understand. I like it,” Wang Yao said with a smile.
“ Anyway, I can't stand life like you on a hill, not for a single day,” Wang Mingbao said.
It was 2pm when Wang Yao left Wang Mingbao's house. The snow is still outside, but it's starting to subside. Wang Yao walked over the hill, stepped on the snow and admired the scenery. He took his time. All around him was very quiet and he could only hear his footsteps.
Screeched! He heard the birds.
Wang Yao looked up and saw an eagle hovering in the sky.

Wang Yao sighed softly.
He could see that eagle was injured a few days ago. It didn't take long for him to fly again.
The eagle seemed to be watching Wang Yao. He swooped towards Wang Yao, and stopped a few inches above Wang Yao's head before circling around for a bit and then soaring back into the sky.
“Goodbye, hawk, come back often!” Wang Yao shouted towards the sky. He did not care whether the eagle understood or not.
Woof! The feed! The feed! Wang Yao heard San Xian barking, as if he was also saying goodbye to the eagle. When Wang Yao returned to his cottage, he found San Xian still staring at the sky, looking somewhat lonely. He walked towards San Xian and touched her gently.

San Xian turned his head and looked at Wang Yao before returning to his dog house. He sat there quietly.
San Xian was sad.

It was getting dark and the snow was still not stopped, so Wang Yao did not plan to go home for dinner. But her mother called her to ask her to come home.

On the hill was even colder, but Wang Yao was already used to it. He lay on his bed in the cottage with a thick cotton blanket. He was so fit that he did not feel an unbearable chill. The night passed quickly.
The next day, Wang Yao heard a shrill voice from the sky as soon as she walked out of the hut. He lifted his head and saw the eagle coming back. It landed on the largest tree in front of Wang Yao's hut.
Woof! The feed! The feed! San Xiao walked out of his dog house and barked excitedly.
Eagles have been living in trees except when going for food since their return.
“It looks like you will stay with us forever!” laughing Wang Yao.
The eagle flapped its wings in response.
“Haha, welcome!” said Wang Yao.
Three days after the snow began to fall, a car came to the village. It was Tian Tuyuan's car. He brought some boxes to look for Wang Yao on the hill.
The wind on the hill is cold. He had worn many clothes but was still shivering from time to time.
He walked along the small hill and looked up to find Wang Yao's cottage in the middle of Nanshan hill. He took a deep breath.
Only a very fit and healthy person can survive on a hill on such a cold day! tian Tuyuan thought.
He looked at Wang Yao inside the cottage. There is no heating inside. Black tea soon became too cold to drink.

Tian Tuyuan looked at the eagle on his way out and the arrogant eagle looked back at him.
“There is a surprise to all I visited here!” sighed Tian Tuyuan.
It is not unusual to see an eagle in a village or on a hill. Even less often an eagle settles so close to the village because wild animals usually reject humans.
