Wang Yao guessed what happened when he saw the traces of blood on the ground. The Tibetan Mastiff probably came out of the village and came to the Nanshan hill for whatever reason. It tried to break into the herbal field while San Xian looked at it. With help from Da Xia, San Xian injures the Tibetan Mastiff, who is fleeing from the herbal fields. It was badly injured and could not go any further. In the end, he died in the foothills of Nanshan.
“Good! I'll give you some nice treats tonight!” wang Yao said happily.
Wang Yao dragged the body of the Tibetan Mastiff into the street and called the captain of the village security team to move it. Then he returned to Nanshan Hill. On his way, he sees a group of villagers coming to beat up the body of a Tibetan Mastiff to vent their anger before dragging him back to the village.
“Do you know what killed the Tibetan Mastiff?” ask one of the villagers.
“Who knows? Definitely not human,” said another villager.
“Of course, who will go to Nanshan hill at the moment? Maybe it was the wolf that killed him,” said a tall and skinny villager.
“There are no wolves in Nanshan hill. By the way, who are you calling, captain? ” ask one of the villagers.
“Stop talking nonsense!” the leader of the group of villagers shouted and everyone was silent.
“Wolf?” he looked towards the hill.
If there really was a wolf on top of the hill, Wang Yao would have known. He would not stay on the hill every night, he thought.
Wang Yao was inside the hut on Nanshan hill. He sat in front of the window and was reading the scriptures.
The Lunar New Year has passed and everything is back to normal. New year begins.
Wang Yao inspected his herb fields in the afternoon and gave San Xian some food before leaving the Nanshan hill.
On the 16th of the first month of the lunar calendar, a large round moon shines in the sky.
Wang Yao escorted his sister to the city for work the next morning before going to Nanshan Hill. She told her mother that she would not go home for lunch because she had a lot of work to do. He'll brew a stew.
Spring has come and is getting warmer.
Wang Yao lit a fire inside his cottage. He placed a multifunctional pot on the fire and poured an ancient spring water into it. The water immediately boils. Then, he added the seasoning into the water. The cottage was soon filled with the fragrant aroma of spices. The color of the liquid inside the pot starts to get darker. Finally, Wang Yao added Guiyuan into the pot to combine all the herbs into one.
It's finished!
Wang Yao poured the finished stew into the bottle and then called Tian Yuantu to pick it up the next day.
In the evening, after Wang Yao had dinner at home, he received a call on his way to Nanshan hill. That number looks familiar.
“Halo!” Wang Yao picked up his phone.
“Halo! My name is Zhou Xiong,” Zhou Xiong said from the other end of the phone.
Zhou Xiong's? Wang Yao remembered it. Zhou Xiong was a middle-aged man who asked Wang Yao to take care of his son a few months ago. He called Wang Yao during the Lunar New Year but Wang Yao forgot to keep his phone number.
Zhou Xiong told Wang Yao that he was ready to take his son to Nanshan hill and asked Wang Yao when was the best time for him to come.
“Maybe after early spring,” said Wang Yao.
Zhou Xiong agreed and asked Wang Yao for medical expenses so that he could prepare the money.
Wang Yao was unable to give a verbal quote at this stage because he had yet to see the child.
He was so desperate that he went to whichever doctor he could find, Wang Yao thought after he hung up the phone.
Not many people knew Wang Yao was capable of caring for a patient. Even in the village, only a handful of people knew about it. He Qisheng introduced Zhou Xiong to Wang Yao and Zhou Xiong was so anxious for his son to recover that he did not mind meeting a practitioner who did not have medical qualifications.
The next day, Wang Yao met someone on his way home from Nanshan Hill. That person was Tian Yuantu, who had come to pick up the stew. He also brought Wang Yao some presents.
“I told you not to bring me another gift!” said Wang Yao. Tian Tuyuan and He Qisheng always brought him gifts whenever they visited Wang Yao. Wang Yao thought it was unnecessary.
“Only something small,” Tian Yuantu said with a smile as he placed the gift on the table.
“Please sit down and let me make you tea,” said Wang Yao.
Wang Yao made him a pot of green tea. The tea smells very good.
“Tea is good! Is it West Lake Longjing tea?” Tian Yuantu could tell what tea was even without tasting it.
Wang Yao drank West Lake Longjing tea from He Qisheng and Qimen black tea from Tian Yuantu. It was inappropriate to let Tian Yuantu drink the tea he brought.
“You know a lot about tea!” laughing Wang Yao.
West Lake Longjing tea leaves have a bright color and a soft aroma. Tastes good and sweet— really-high quality tea.
But Wang Yao could not tell what tea it was just by kissing it. In fact, he had never tasted any type of tea. He used to drink the most common green tea and thought it tasted good.
“Not really. I drink a lot of Longjing tea so I know the smell well,” Tian Yuantu said with a smile.
“How's your friend's mom doing?” asked Wang Yao.
“He seems to be much better now, but ..” Tian Yuantu hesitated whether he should continue, he seemed reluctant to mention anything to Wang Yao.
In fact, her friend's mother was much better off when she visited her before the Lunar New Year. Wang Yao was highly respected by his friend, who worried about his mother's health. She had taken her mother to a number of doctors and specialists but nothing seemed to work, so she really wanted to meet Wang Yao and invite him to dinner.
Tian Yuantu knew his friend well; his friend had a high social status. It was unusual for him to invite a stranger to dinner at his house. Most people would be flattered to receive an invitation like this, but Wang Yao was unlike most people. Tian Yuantu thought that Wang Yao had never visited his patients directly.
