Wang Yao made a formula using the common herbs he planted, which were of much higher quality than the ones in the herbal shop. He weighed two bottles of stew and brought them down the hill during the day.
“Bu, I made this formula for Uncle and Aunt.” Wang Yao placed the potion on the table. “It's for three days use. Aunty should get better after drinking it.”
As Wang Yao spoke to his mother, his father's cousin visited him again. Wang Yao gave him the potion and told him how to use it.
“Uncle, can you save it yourself that I made a formula for family members?” asked Wang Yao. He did not want too many people to know about his herbal field or that he was able to make herbal formulas. He did not want his peaceful life to be interrupted by people asking him for herbs. He just made a formula for the important people in his life.
“Sure,” his uncle's appointment. He didn't leave immediately. “How should I pay you?”
“You don't have to pay me. We are family. Let me know if aunt gets better after taking this, ” Wang Yao said with a smile. The formula is not provided by the system, so he does not need to charge money.
“Really?” his uncle said in surprise. He did not expect the potion to be free. He had just blamed his wife for contacting Wang Yao yesterday because he thought he had to pay a lot for the potion.
“As my son mentioned, we are family. It is only made of herbs, not worth much money, ” Zhang Xiuying said.
“Thank you!” Uncle Wang Yao was very appreciative. He then left with a stew.
Wang Yao did not consider that a big deal.
“Nak, you do not have the qualifications to prescribe herbal formulas. Are you going to get in trouble?” w.a.n.g Fenghua asked at dinner.
“Sorry, you have to blame me. I shouldn't have told Feng Shou about what our son has done,” Zhang Xiuying felt guilty and stopped eating.
“Yah ..” said Wang Yao.
He's been thinking about it. The first few formulas he created were for a very special client, who had promised not to tell anyone about where they got that formula from. But Wang Yao knew sooner or later he had to face the problem of his qualifications. It is okay to plant herbs without any medical qualifications or certificates. But formula recipes are a different story. He could face severe punishment if he is prosecuted.
Thus, Wang Yao needed to possess a certain medical certificate or qualification to meet the legal requirements. But it wasn't easy. It was unrealistic for him to study medicine at university. Or, he could study under a Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He needs a teacher with rich experience, proof of study and to pass the medical board exam.
“Dad, Mom, I'll get a certificate,” said Wang Yao, “Please don't tell anyone that I'm making a formula for people at this stage.”
“OK!” his parents said.
His uncle came home while Wang Yao was having dinner.
“Hey, you're back, how much did you spend?” ask his wife when she sees the stew.
“I don't pay,” he said.
“What?” his wife said astonished. “Your niece is very generous.”
“She's family. Try the formula he made for you,” said uncle Wang Yao.
“You didn't want me to take it yesterday. You said your niece studied biology at university, not medicine. You are not sure if it is safe to drink the herbal formula,” his wife said.
“Try. Good intentions. Maybe it'll work. You can throw it away if you really don't want to take it.” Uncle Wang Yao changed his mind and mind after Wang Yao showed a good demeanor.
“Alright, I'll try it,” said his wife.
“Come dinner first.”
His wife heated up and picked up the stew that Wang Yao brewed after dinner. It didn't feel as bad as the other herbs she had before, but she didn't feel any different after a while.
“How do you feel?” Uncle Wang Yao asked.
“True. But don't keep drinking it if you feel uncomfortable!” said uncle Wang Yao.
“I know.”
The new task was given to Wang Yao.
When Wang Yao was chatting with his parents at the dining table, he suddenly heard the commands from the system.
Mission (Do something for a good reason): Get a medical certificate within ten months.
Gifts: medical books.
Punishment for failure: take back the old-fashioned spring kettle and reduce the two attributes by half.
Ten months sounded easy, but Wang Yao knew the process would be difficult. He must find himself a good teacher first. The master he found would not help him.
Let me wonder first.
Wang Yao did some research on his phone on how to become a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner.
He has a university degree, which meets one of the criteria. But finding himself a teacher was a big deal. He needs to get approval from the provincial Chinese Medical Council and he must study under the guidance of a teacher for at least 3 years. He was also unable to find a teacher at random. The teacher must be a senior practitioner with relevant medical qualifications and at least 20 years of clinical experience, as well as have a noble medical ethics.
“The story is very loud. God knows how much the inheritance will stop because of that! ” sigh Wang Yao.
The certificate has its pros and cons.
What am I supposed to do? I have to go into town to wonder tomorrow.
…
A conversation took place inside a house in the village in the afternoon.
“The ransom of your nephew is really potent,” a woman told her husband.
He drank the stew that Wang Yao brewed after lunch, but initially felt nothing. But after a few hours, his stomach felt warm and very comfortable.
“Good. You should keep drinking it,” her husband said.
“OK. I thought your nephew had a biology degree. Why can he make herbs?” ask the woman curiously.
“How can I know? Maybe he learned it at university. You know, you can study a double degree at university, ” said her husband.
“Really?” said the woman.
“Stop asking meaningless questions. If you think it's effective, go ahead. If you think it's useless, throw it away. My niece made a formula for you because of her kindness. And make sure you don't tell anyone about it, ” her husband said seriously.
