With wide strides, Prince walked up to Queen who was still lying weak with tears that had wetted her face, even to the point of dripping onto a pillow.
"Why didn't you say it?" prince asked slowly but with emphasis.
"Say what?" Queen asked without looking at Prince, her eyes only focused on the ceiling of the simple room, but her tears continued to fall.
"If you're pregnant."
"I just found out too."
"So you just found out too?" Prince knitted his brows.
"Hmmm. But I'm gonna get rid of this baby. I don't want him to be born into the world." said Queen coldly and successfully make Prince's emotions rise.
"You're crazy, aren't you? Where's your feelings?" prince's voice suddenly rose with sharp eyes. Angry, that was the reaction he let out.
Queen turned her face away and looked at Prince with wet eyes. "Why are you angry? This is my son, so what do I want?"
"You really have no feelings! I won't let you hurt my flesh and blood!"
"Who said it's your flesh and blood, huh? This isn't your son."
"Then whose child? Come on, tell me who the father is!"
Queen was suddenly silent, pregnancy hormones and a sense of inadmissibility for her condition made the woman behave impulsively. While on the terrace, Channa and her son and best friend just quietly listened to the debate of the two people. They try to digest what happened without any intention of interfering.
"Why are you silent? Let's tell him who his father is!" press Prince with a tight and rumbling chest. But Queen remained unmoved.
"You don't cover it up! Your pregnancy is only five weeks old and we did it about a month ago. And you were a virgin back then, I'm sure this is my son."
"We?" Queen raised her eyebrows. "You! You did it, not us! I wouldn't have done it if I had only realized then! You ruined my life!" queen's murmur, her tears flowing down the river. Prince nodded to hear it.
"I hate you!" queen continued as she pleased, her body to the point of shaking in tears, making Prince feel even more guilty.
"I'm sorry. I was scared at the time." Prince was full of regrets.
"I'm sorry? Do you think your apologies are useful? Are you sorry you could give me my future back? Solve all this, haa ...? It's as easy as you say sorry, after you insulted me and felt dirty" Queen said.
Prince raised his head and looked at the Queen's face. "I'll take responsibility."
"I'm sure you've said this a lot to women out there." Queen sneered in a mocking tone.
"i'm serious. I'll marry you."
"Ciihh, married? You think everything's gonna be finished so easily? You don't think about my family's feelings and good name, my future husband's feelings and his family, either. You got me in trouble."
"Yes, I'm getting engaged. And you ruined everything." Queen sobbing.
The Prince was astonished at the Queen's words, there was a sense of pain and unwillingness in his heart.
"I'm sorry! Sorry I ruined your life. You can be angry and hate me, but please don't leave this child. He's innocent. If you don't want it, give it to me." Prince looked at Queen with a pleading gaze.
"Then what about my parents? You think they'd be that easy to accept all this? My engagement will be void and my family will be ashamed. This kid's not supposed to exist, he's just the result of a one-night mistake you made. So don't forbid me to eliminate it."
"You're selfish, Queen!"
"You are selfish! From the beginning you only thought about your wishes!" reply Queen full of emotions. Prince felt slapped.
"Queen, please don't hurt him. It's my fault and he shouldn't have been the victim, he did exist by mistake but that doesn't mean we can't fix it. He deserves to live, and we can definitely be good parents for him. Please give me a chance!"
"No will! My decision is round. Never mind, I want to sleep." slowly Queen turned her back to Prince, leaving the man nicknamed Casanova Devil Club fixated on looking at him.
Prince breathed heavily to see the stubbornness of the woman who had overturned his life, he did not want to resign and give up just like that.
"Queen, please give me this one chance to make up for everything. Don't make me feel guilty."
There was no reply from the beautiful-looking woman, she was unmoved with shoulders up and down and regular breathing, a sign that she had fallen asleep. Due to the effects of painkillers given by the woman named Nong, Queen was sleepy and fell asleep quickly.
Prince exhaled again while looking at the Queen's back moving in rhythm, he did not expect everything would be this complicated. But he can't just give up, he has to keep fighting for his innocent flesh and blood. He did not want the weak and helpless creature to be a victim of his guilt and also the selfishness of the Queen.
"You don't be afraid, I will definitely save you from Mother's cruelty. We must have met." Inner Prince who then moved and stepped towards the terrace. He knew Channa and everyone must have heard their debate earlier and right now those people must be wondering. He had to explain everything so that there was no misunderstanding.
"Sorry, there's something I want to explain" Prince said. Channa and everyone turned to look at the beautiful man who was now standing at the doorstep.
The three people just silently looked at him, implied curiosity on their faces.
"It doesn't matter if it's hard for you, we don't deserve to know anything, we're nobody. We just want to help." said Channa.
Prince shook his head. "It's okay. I want you to know not to misunderstand."
The man immediately sat on one of the wooden chairs in front of Channa and everyone. He exhaled again, before opening his voice. He begins to tell stories, replaying the embarrassing events of the night, events that eventually get him and Queen tied up indirectly.
Channa and everyone just quietly listened, without commenting anything. But Channa's face suddenly turned sad, she remembered the heartbreaking events of years ago that befell her family. Which makes him have to be separated from the sister he loves the most, the sister he does not know where the jungle is and how it is now.
His heart felt a deep longing and guilt, all the feelings that had always haunted him.
