Trapped by One Night's Mistakes
Chapter 6

Steven was sitting in the meeting room with Prince and his business colleagues, the meeting was about to start, but Rafael, who was none other than Steven's son, had not yet arrived.

"Where is he? Does he not know if there is a meeting today?" Steven asked annoyed. As the owner and leader of the company, he was embarrassed to find his son's undisciplined attitude.

"Sir Rafael knows, sir." Secretary of Rafael.

"Sorry, I'm late." Rafael appeared from behind the door and immediately stepped towards the meeting table.

"Okay, since we're all together, our meeting starts." Said Steven. He did not want to postpone the meeting again by nagging his son.

Steven leads the meeting, they discuss the tender they will be joining. Prince and the other meeting participants listened carefully.

"I'm sure we'll win this tender like we did before. I'm not going to give any company, especially Kingdom, a chance to seize this tender." Steven was sure. He will do anything to defeat his rival company, especially when it comes to the Kingdom which is none other than his sworn enemy.

"As usual, I'll send Prince for this tender." Continue Steven. Everyone agreed except for Rafael, he was furious to see the Papa always trusted his subordinates.

As a Chief Executive Officer aka CEO, Rafael lost his honor with Prince who only served as his deputy or Chief Operating Officer.

The meeting was over, everyone went back to their room. But not with Rafael, the man came to Steven's room to protest.

"Pa, why is it that Prince is always sent to handle a big tender, but Papa can't trust me to do it once?" Sergey Rafael with a disappointed face.

"Hahaha .. trusting you is like destroying this company. You are undisciplined and have a sense of responsibility, how can Papa trust you? Moreover, the tender this time will require negotiation, the thing you can't do." Steven replied with a dismissive tone.

"But I'm Papa's son! I deserve a chance to show my skills. It's the same way that Papa underestimated me. I get sick every time I hear people praising Prince and comparing me to him. How can I prove that I'm capable if Papa doesn't let me try." Rafael was full of emotion.

"Here you go, you still need to learn more. Papa just does not want to take the risk and make this tender as your trial. You just do what suits your abilities." Reply Steven nonchalantly.

"Papa!" Rafael. The man walked out of Steven's room by slamming the door.

In front of Steven's room, Rafael meets Prince who happens to be going to meet his superiors.

"You must be happy that my father trusts you more than I do, his own son. But you have to remember, I'm the heir to this company and you're just an employee. So don't feel any better!" Said Rafael with a sharp look.

"I never thought that way! Incidentally, your weakness is my biggest responsibility. That's the main task Mr. Steven gave me. So I just do what my boss tells me and what I can do. And all this is to help you." Prince said and passed from before Rafael.

"It's so arrogant of you!" Sahut Rafael furious.

"This time we can't lose again to Emperor. In the past two years, ever since the man named Prince walked into Emperor, they've always won all the tenders." Kenedy.

"Yes, Sir. As far as I know, the guy named Prince is very smart and clever in handling the company tender." The law of a man.

"We have to be careful with that guy. Watch the moves, I'm sure they must have used bad ways to win. Therefore, I myself will take care of the tender this time." Kenedy.

"Good, Sir!"

Jovan felt a little offended, because this time Kenedy himself took care of the tender. The owner of the Kingdom did not order Jovan as before.

Queen who realized it was just a cynical smile, it turns out that not to mention he started his plan, the Papa had started to distrust Jovan.

While Jovan only glanced at Queen sitting next to him, he thought she had done something that made him no longer trusted by Kenedy.

The meeting was over, Queen walked beside Kenedy while struggling spoiled in the arms of the Papa.

Jovan walked behind them.

"Honey, tomorrow held the largest entrepreneurial association in the city, there will be many famous entrepreneurs there including your future father-in-law. Papa wants you to come along, so Papa can introduce you to Papa's business associates."

"Hmmm ... You can too! Moreover, there is also my future father-in-law, I have not met him for a long time." Queen replied in a rather loud voice for Jovan to hear.

Jovan just kept quiet, he didn't want to respond to anything. Once again he was upset because Kenedy did not intend to invite him to the big event.
