After allowing Sinta to sit down, Aruna passed to the kitchen to take a snack. His mother decided to clean up first. Not long after, Aruna returned to the living room and smiled when she found Sinta looking at her.
"Why, Sin?" asked Aruna when Sinta had not yet turned her eyes. Aruna looked at the clothes she was wearing, maybe something was wrong.
"You are beautiful with a veil" Sinta replied with a sweet smile.
"Thank you. Come on, please drink." After allowing Sinta to enjoy a snack, Aruna sat on the opposite sofa.
"When did you come home? Been here long?" ask Aruna curiously.
Sinta. "It's only been a few weeks, Na. Coincidentally, my husband bought a house here, making us finally meet again." Then, Sinta's gaze was fixed on Aruna's stomach.
"Why?" tanya Aruna realized Sinta's gaze was fixed on her stomach.
"Cock you get pregnant fast? What are the tips, Na? In fact, I was married first," complained Sinta with pursed lips.
Aruna chuckled softly, feeling uneasy about the pregnancy. However, it must be painful if it is always gossiped by the neighbors because they do not get pregnant. Not to mention the pressure from families who want a grandchild.
"Prophey, Sin. Everything has its time. Maybe God wants you to date first after marriage. Enjoy the time you two." What Aruna meant was Sinta and her husband.
Sinta's face looked lethargic. Like I have no passion anymore. "However, everyone has considered me barren, infertile, and many more bad words that they say. Especially from my in-laws." Sinta's gaze turned dark and vengeful, making Aruna instantly shudder in horror.
Realizing the change in the look of Aruna's face, Sinta again commented on her sweet smile. "I'm sorry. I'm too hurt by their attitude."
"Eh! Can you go to the toilet? I'm going to go back" Sinta and Aruna's permission immediately went to show the toilet in her house.
After making sure Sinta entered the toilet room, Aruna again sat with her fingers tapped on the edge of the sofa. Minutes passed, making Aruna realize if Sinta had been too long in the toilet. Aruna's head turned, but had not yet found any signs of Sinta coming back.
"Old anyway? Did something happen?" Aruna decided to go behind. Finding the toilet door still closed, Aruna knocked on it quietly while saying.
"Love? You're all right? How long?" asked Aruna softly.
However, there was no answer from the inside, making Aruna forced to push the door that turned out to be no longer locked. "Love?" call Aruna slowly. When it had opened completely, Aruna's forehead frowned. He did not find Sinta in the toilet.
"I'm here, Aruna," said a voice from behind, making Aruna jump in shock.
"Love. Where did you end up? He said go to the toilet?" tanya Aruna does not like the Sinta gelagat which is somewhat disrespectful.
"Oh, sorry. Last time, I saw the garden next to your house that has many flowers. There are roses there too. Be honest. I was very interested in the flower, Na," Sinta explained, making Aruna look at the old figure of her friend.
"Alright," replied Aruna reluctantly asking deeper.
When maghrib will arrive, Sinta said goodbye. He brought the flower in question with the word bright sparkling. Aruna just shook her head slowly looking at Sinta's behavior.
The night is back. Aruna and Kala were already on the bed hugging each other. Looking at her slumbering husband, Aruna smiled and stroked Kala's face. Slowly, her eyelids are too heavy. Aruna's asleep.
[Marcana... Aruna]
The voice continued to echo in Aruna's ears, making her footsteps wider through the barren field, where her feet rested. Since then, the voice has been unceasingly calling Aruna's name and going wherever Aruna goes.
"Who are you! Don't bother me!" yelled Aruna trying to fight back. His feet stopped running with breaths. His gaze went through each side of the body, perhaps finding a figure who had been calling him since.
[Chiwi. You already know me, Aruna]
The voice answered the question that Aruna had just uttered. His laughter was so shrill followed by a voice like the hiss of a snake.
"Who?! Show me your true form!" challenge Aruna with a high voice.
Srek. Srek. Srek. Srek.
The sound of the dragged footsteps made Aruna look back, where the source came from. Aruna's eyes bought when he saw the figure of a creepy old woman walking towards him, complete with a demonic smile.
"Who are you!" asked Aruna making steps the figure stopped. The old woman again showed a demonic smile and replied. "Sibyan Ummu. Didn't you recognize him? You're so familiar with that."
Aruna's heart beat like a bomb. His throat was choked, his legs heavy and it was hard to just move back, away from the creepy figure. While the figure named Umm Sibyan continued to approach, eroding the distance to stand right in front of Aruna.
"It—" pointed the creepy old woman at Aruna's bulging belly. Aruna could see, the woman's nails were long, pointed, and black in color.
"Ja-ja-don't. D-d-he's my son." Aruna stammered from the fear that was now afflicting her.
The old woman laughed so hard that her laughter made her around making a shattering sound that she knew nothing. Fractional sounds are very noisy and interfere with Aruna's hearing now. "Go you!" yelled Aruna with a sore throat.
Aruna's eyes widened as the sharp fingernail had touched her stomach. "Your son will die, hihi," said the figure with a creepy eye.
Aruna's head shook his head, his mouth was hard open to say a sentence, which unfortunately no sound came out, ending with his gaping mouth and his bulging eyes. Aruna scared. Body shaking.
Especially when he felt his stomach pressed very tight, to just moan even Aruna could not. Until Aruna saw, the figure's hand pierced through his stomach. "Dead.. Dead.." muttered the figure again.
Aruna tried to close her eyes which unfortunately could not. At such times, he remembered the message of the Mother and Mr. Hasan to always pray, asking for protection from God. Because her mouth was hard to move, Aruna prayed in her heart, reciting as many prayers as she could.
"Aargha! Look out for you! It's hot!" squealing that figure was in pain. Aruna continued to recite the Quran sentence that she could until slowly, the figure melted down, along with her awakened sleep.
"Well! Huh!" Aruna's breath hunted with a body full of sweat. The first thing Aruna saw was her stomach. Aruna could breathe a sigh of relief when she realized nothing bad happened to her womb.
"Darling? You why? Another nightmare?" ask Kala who woke up. His eyes were still slightly closed as he rubbed the sweaty globules on Aruna's forehead.
Just a nod of the head that Aruna gave in response. Because after that, Aruna cried as much as she could, so frightened that her dream came true.
When panicked, his eyes opened wide and hugged Aruna tightly. "There's me. Calm. Don't cry."
