Ares came to Kayden's house after calling his teacher. He was asked to come there to talk about what the man would tell him.
Ares was sitting at the dinner table while Kayden was making lunch for the two of them, as it was currently the day leading up to lunch time.
"When will he come back? Why did he leave his phone?" Ares asked Tania.
"It seems that due to being too worried about her mother's circumstances, she accidentally left her phone." Kayden replied as he brought two dishes of fried rice and placed them before the two of them each. "His uncle called and came to pick him up at midnight last night. His mother's been in the hospital since yesterday, but she didn't tell him anything."
"Where does he live?" Ask Ares.
"What's wrong? You wanna catch up with him?" Kayden who was enjoying his food glanced at Ares.
Kayden's question left Ares confused. He did not know why he wanted to know where the girl's hometown was, it was impossible to catch up with her there as well.
"I just want to know." Ares replied while scooping the fried rice that Kayden had given him.
Kayden looked at Ares without a word, the man seemed to be thinking about something while investigating something about Ares who was eating his food.
"Do you like Tania?"
Ares chokes when he hears Kayden's question.
"Why are you asking like that again?" Upset Ares after drinking and relieving her choking.
"To be honest what happened to you, happened to me first." Kayden said without looking at Ares as he focused on the fried rice on his plate to scoop it up.
"You mean you and Hany—my cousin?" Ask Ares.
Kayden put down his spoon before bribing. The man sat up straight and looked at Ares.
"Tell me what you want me to do for you, Master." Ares felt that Kayden wanted to say something that he thought had something to do with his cousin's brother.
"You asked me why I didn't become a racer, right?" Kayden asked with a serious look. "You also know what happened between me and your cousin."
"Yes, of course. Even though I was a kid at the time and didn't understand anything but recently I asked my Uncle—Lion directly." Answer Ares.
"Then what did your uncle say?" Ask Kayden curiously.
"As usual, he always told me whatever I asked. He told me everything. But you take it easy, he doesn't hate you at all." Answer Ares. "The problem is my Aunt—Melody. I know that Aunt Melody just didn't want Hany to be in touch with you after what happened to Hany."
Kayden sighed hearing Ares' words.
"He didn't want me to be a racer, and he supported me more to be a teacher." Kayden said. "When it happened, he asked me to keep going to the national exam when my enemies confronted us."
"Then you left my cousin just because he asked for it?!" Ares was visibly emotional for disagreeing with Kayden's decision. "Hany is a woman, even though she also has martial arts, she is still a woman! Why did you leave him?!"
"I know my decision was wrong to listen to what he said first." Kayden replied with a somber-looking face. "Therefore, I want you to help me."
Ares snorted at Kayden's words. He did not believe that the man who used to let his cousin who was a woman face a group of men until he had suffered severe injuries asked for his help.
"You know, you're wrong because you didn't ask my aunt for forgiveness and you'd rather avoid following Melody's anger!!" Upset Ares.
Kayden did not answer because he regretted it.
Ares sighed to dampen his emotions, and looked at Kayden without anger.
"So you can't forget it yet?" Look Ares at Kayden who's petrified. "You want to see him?"
"Is that possible? He currently lives in America with Rhapsody." Kayden. "If you can tell me where— is"
"I'll ask him to come on my birthday." Sambar Ares then sighed. "She would have come if I had asked her. You can meet him."
"Be—really?" Kayden looked surprised in disbelief.
"Saturday I'll celebrate my birthday. I'll ask him to come. It just so happened that he had also graduated from college and indeed wanted to return to this country." Bright Ares without looking at Kayden but after turning to his teacher. "God, you know, I used to live with him before I came back here last year. I know that he hasn't forgotten you either."
"I think if you really apologize to Aunt Melody, she'll forgive you. After all Hany's parents with your mother were schoolmates." Ares cried after drinking water that was in a nearby glass.
Kayden nodded in agreement. He intended to make amends so that he could get back together with the woman he once loved and still could not get rid of it from his heart.
"I was grateful to you before." Kayden.
"I don't understand what you're thinking, but if I were you... I will never leave the woman I love in danger, even if she asks me to leave. I will protect him, not him to protect me. Nothing is more important than him. That's what my father taught me." Ares.
"You're right... There's nothing more important than our loved ones, that's also the reason Hany said when she told me to leave." Answer Kayden. "Alright, in exchange, I withdrew my ban asking you to stay away from Tania. You can approach her again."
"really?" Look Ares.
"Even I'll help you get close to him." Kayden added with a smile.
"I told you, I don't like it!!" Ares still did not want to admit his feelings for Tania.
"You'll regret it when you say it too late." Imbau Kayden tilted one corner of her lips and showed her a single dimple.
Ares just hissed in response to the babbling of his teacher, keeping his feelings hidden.
...***...
Monday morning at school, news of Dyara staying at Ares' house spread quickly. Even the news beat the fame of the OSIS chairman election held today.
Ares who originally did not want to talk about gossip that said that the two of them were lovers became uncomfortable. Coupled with what his two twin sisters and Kayden said yesterday.
During the break and after the election of the new OSIS chairman, Ares asks Dyara to meet him behind the school. He wanted to tell the girl not to approach him anymore to dampen the news.
"As I said at the time, I wanted to study seriously so I could graduate. But what happens is that all the students say we're dating. I don't understand why they're saying that and they can even tell you're staying at my house." Ares stood opposite Dyara.
"So I mean Brother, am I the—"
"No, I didn't say it like that. I also don't want to know where the news is going." Answer Ares. "I just want to say it again if we'd better not get too close. I want to put a damper on the news now."
Dyara seemed to be holding back her sense of regret by saying nothing.
"You understand, right?" Ask Ares.
"Yes, okay." Dyara replied, not willing.
"Thank you for understanding." Ares Exclamation. "I'm going back to class now."
After saying that, Ares walked away from Dyara alone.
Dyara stared dejectedly at Ares' departure. The girl could not accept Ares's appeal that wanted her not to approach the young man.
"It's all because of those glasses?!!" Dyara was very upset. "You were the one who approached me yesterday. Why do you want us not to get too close?!"
Ares walked down the school corridor looking down. He thought about Tania, wanting to know when the girl would return.
Accidentally the young man bumped into someone who was walking from the opposite direction to him.
"I'm sorry, I accidentally bumped into you." Said a male student who was hit by Ares.
Ares raised his head, his angry self becoming anointed because the person he hit just now made him have to hold back his anger.
"Ah, no... You should be the one apologizing because you're the one who didn't look forward when you walked." The young man in front of Ares. "But it doesn't seem like a problem, I see you're thinking about something right now that goes like that. Isn't that right, Ares's upperclassman?"
The young man who said that with a smile made Ares snort. He is the chairman of the newly elected OSIS today, Tyaga Zeza Jayantaka.
