081. THE WARLORD'S SORROW

Ares was in his room alone. Although he tried not to worry too much about Anton, but still he continued to worry about his best friend. I don't know why he felt something bad was going to happen.

Ares kept pacing back and forth and sat on the side of the bed looking at Tania's cell phone. I hope Kayden contacts her soon to give her some good news.

Time had passed by a few minutes, until finally Tania's phone entered a call from Kayden.

Ares who was walking back and forth instantly grabbed the phone he had placed on the bed. The young man was already impatient to find out the news of Anton—sof his friend.

"Sir Master, is everything okay? You were with Anton there? Give her the phone, I want to talk to her." Ares answered the phone directly from Kayden.

"Ares, listen to me. By the time we all came, he had been beaten to such an extent that he had finally lost his life." Kayden answered on the other end of the phone. "His body has been taken to the hospital."

Like being struck by lightning, Ares was shocked to hear the bad news. The unpleasant feeling, which he felt earlier turned out to be a premonition that what he feared was really happening.

"What are you talking about, Master? Just give Anton his phone. I want to talk to him right now." Said Ares who still did not want to accept the fact that his best friend had left him.

On the other end of the phone, Kayden said nothing because he knew about the sadness Ares was feeling right now.

"If he's not as good as I am, but he can also fight, Master. Why would he lose like that?" Say Ares with a soft tone of voice. "I told him to come faster, but why did he leave on my birthday?—"

"Whoops!" Call Kayden to stop the young man's words that sound so heartbreaking to him. "Come to the hospital to see your best friend one last time." Kayden.

Ares did not answer Kayden's words, and at the same time the door to his room opened. Tania appeared from behind the door with a drink for her.

"You heard me, right?" Kayden asked to confirm Ares but the young man did not reply and only looked at Tania. "Strengthen yourself, and come here. All your friends are waiting for you here."

Ares took off the phone in his ear until it fell to the floor by disconnecting Kayden's phone call.

Together with Tania, Ares walks into her house to the mortuary room. His presence immediately made dozens of his friends go to him.

Kayden who was also there looked at Tania who was walking behind Ares.

"Es, we can't help him." Said Brodie with a face that looks damp because he can not stem his tears. "Anton left us. As friends we're not all there to help her."

Ares walked slowly towards Anton's body which was already stretched stiff and already covered by a white cloth. Brodie and some of his friends, following the steps of the young man who seemed to be trying to hold back his sadness.

He opens a cloth covering Anton's head so that Ares can see his best friend for the last time.

Anton's face looked battered with many bruises filling it. Seeing him, Ares immediately felt an emotion. There is only one desire at this time, which is to avenge all the actions of Shane on his best friend.

With a quick step, Ares walked out, saw him, Kayden immediately turned his head and walked over to the young man who kept his gaze fixed on that one direction.

"Where are you going?" Kayden asked holding Ares' arm for the young man to stop stepping.

"Tell me where Shane is right now, Master? Did the police catch him? I'll meet him and I'll avenge everything he's done to my best friend." Ares replied in a speech filled with emphasis.

"No, the police didn't arrest him." Kayden said that made Ares look at him.

How can Shane not be arrested by the police? Though it was very clear, he had already persecuted to the point of causing death.

"Es, when we got there, Shane wasn't there. Even from the beginning he wasn't there." Brodie explained the situation.

"How could he not be there?" Ares was astonished to hear that. "Didn't he and his group do it?"

"He did it intentionally. Shane just asked his friends to do it but he wasn't there. He even denied that he asked to persecute Anton. Nor did the police find any evidence of his participation, so the police did not arrest him." Bright Brodie.

"Damn it!! It was obvious that he was the one who planned all this!! How could he not be arrested?!" Ares's growl was full of emotion. "But it's good. If the police don't arrest him, it means I have a greater chance of avenging Anton's death!! I'll find him and I'll kill him!!"

Ares again stepped on his feet, but Kayden who was standing nearby again held back his steps by holding the young man's arm.

"What are you gonna do? Killed him you said?" Kayden held Ares' left arm with his right hand to keep the young man from leaving.

"Yes, that's obvious, right?" Ares answered with a face full of anger. "I'll do the same as he did to Anton—my best friend!!" Ares said so with great emotion.

"You can't be stupid!! Nothing will change if you kill him too!! There you're just gonna go to jail." Kayden tried to convince Ares not to do anything that could put the young man in danger.

Ares seemed to be thinking about Kayden's words by holding back his steps and being silent as if thinking.

"Well, what should I do now? How could I not do anything about the death of my friend, Master? I had to do something because everything that happened to Anton was my fault. If I had come to his aid, he wouldn't have left me like this." Ares said with reddened eyes as he held back his sadness. "Tell me, what should I do now? I lost it but worse than that, I didn't do anything before. Then, should I just shut up now and do nothing for her?"

The situation became even colder and silence shrouded. Ares looked so very sad by holding back his tears from flowing out.

All of his friends who were there also did not let out the slightest sound, because the sadness that they were currently feeling was also as great as Ares felt. All because of the loss as well as feelings of guilt for Anton.

"I will definitely avenge all the losers' actions." Said Ares in a very angry tone of voice.

Tania stepped closer to Ares. "Don't let you do something that gets you kicked out of school."

Tania's words shifted Ares' gaze to look at the girl who was already standing nearby.

"Please yourself first. Your best friend also definitely doesn't want to see you until the wrong step." Tania said with her right hand holding Ares' arm.

But without the girl guessing, Ares brushed her off by wasting her face, not wanting to look at Tania.

"Go, you don't have to be here. I listen to all your words, but everything that happens is worse than what you're worried about." Ares said very coldly.

After saying that, Ares walked away from there along with his friends who followed him.

While Tania became silent to hear Ares' cold words and attitude to him earlier. Even the young man brushed his hand away. It was something very surprising for Tania.

"You don't have to think about it. He was just confused as to how. You'd better just go home, let me stop him from doing bad things." Kayden exclaimed after that walking away from Tania to catch up with Ares.

Tania still did not budge. He was still thinking about Ares' reaction. The young man's words sounded like a regret for listening to his words. More than that, Ares became visibly resentful of her for listening to everything she said.
